Even though I'm a Warren resident, I'm able to use the Center Line library for all my needs because it's part of the Suburban Library Cooperative. Center Line's holdings are small but diversified. Everything is located in one big room. They have several computers right up front if you need to access the internet. The atmosphere has always been quiet and laid-back when I have gone in. Parking is *much* easier here than at the Warren Civic Center Library, which would otherwise be the closest one for me. As a history major in college, I spent a lot of time in libraries and archives of all sizes across the country. When you're doing academic research, you learn to judge the quality of a library by the helpfulness of the librarians and their ability to acquire books on ILL (inter-library loan). This is where the Center Line library really excels. I've always found the staff to be attentive, and they fully participate in the MEL (Michigan E-Library) program, so you have access to materials from across the state.

I…read morevisited the center twice within the last two weeks to get information about swimming lesson registration for my children. Unfortunately, both times the experience was unpleasant. The employees at the front desk were rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly. Today, I waited for around 15 minutes while one employee kept looking at her computer and another was on the phone. Even when I finally asked for assistance, the response and attitude were not welcoming or professional. As a city community center that serves families and residents, I believe staff should be respectful, cooperative, and willing to help people with basic questions. Instead, I left feeling upset and disappointed by how we were treated. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving customer service for families visiting the center.

It has plenty of natural light, lots of magazines, and every major local and national newspaper, along with comfortable chairs and a fireplace. I haven't used the study rooms, but I may reserve space someday for a quiet place to work. In my opinion, the parking lot is somewhat small and located a bit too far from the library entrance. It could be an accessibility issue for those who have problems walking, especially in the wintertime. Overall, I have no complaints. It's a good neighborhood library.

I've actually found one of my favorite new authors that way! (Nicholas Eames: Kings of the Wyld series) The pickup/drop off drive through is perfect for after hours, or if you don't want to go in. I guess I'm just a very old school and tactile kind of person. I highly prefer the look, feel and smell of real, paper books over a digital screen. We're all paying for the library. (It's worth it). We decided to stop in because we heard they have tonies box to rent out. The second floor on the right side is a massive children's area. They have tables and chairs. They have a lot of little toy areas that they can play with. They have an imaginary play puppet area too. When you check out, they have a self checkout where you can scann the card and then the items. They have bags to check out too for carrying the books in. You can print a receipt which will tell you when items are due back. I also took a photo just in case. The desks have people working there that are super helpful. They answered so many questions. My husband went to the other side up top and looked at some books while the kids were playing. They also have activities and storytime classes that you can attend. They can get books you request in a pretty timely matter, are linked to other libraries to fill requests for popular or difficult to find titles. I visit at least a couple times a month and am in two book clubs. They also host making events and artists. Can't say enough good things. Love this place.

What I really love about this library is that it's an a suer convenient location that is waking distance from a lot of great bakeries and restaurants in Ferndale. The library itself is quiet but not to a deafening degree. There's some light chatter and it gets a lot of sunlight which is also a plus. The staff is super friendly and there are plenty of computers and seating available. They also have a kids corner with books, games, and other activities to keep kids occupied. I also love that there's a lot of different seating options with spacious countertops for work and individual seating if you want to study alone. Highly recommend getting some work done here or just stopping by to dig into a good book !

Pro- It is a good Community College in the fact that a student will get a good base education here…read more I learned a lot at MCC. Pro- It is inexpensive. Most of the instructors care about the students. Pro-Macomb has many good professors who love their jobs and care about the students. Con- Some of the so-called professors are very unprofessional, (math professors in particular) don't care whether the students pass or not, and deserve to be fired. When you have students putting in the effort and doing the work and instructors aren't showing up, showing up without a syllabus and/or being lost in their own textbook, it's time to re-evaluate who should be employed there. Especially if 3/4 of the class is failing. I would have given 4 stars if it weren't for the 2 or 3 subpar professors I had to endure who ruined my GPA. I earned a better GPA at Walsh College, a more difficult school than at Macomb due to Macomb's poor professors. Tutors here do not want you coming in and asking them for help. They're attitude is you're bothering them.

This is strictly a review for the event that was done here. My son's robotics team made it to the…read morestate level of competition and it was held at MCC. I grew up living pretty much a block away from MCC. I received two associates degrees from this school way back in the day. My highschool graduation was held at this venue. But as far as the robotics competition, it was not really a suitable venue. This place was simply too small for the number of attendees. The gym area was big enough for the contest and there were plenty of giant screens to watch from. But the bleachers were very small and quite scary. Some of the seats were completely broken. Many people had to sit on the floor which is not ideal once you hit about 40. They had a nice concession stand set up but only four tables. And you had to stand. My back was killing me and these competitions are 12 hours long each day. So sitting in a real chair would have been nice! There weren't enough rooms. So the presentation and Q&A portion was held in a room with nothing but curtain dividers. Now you get a group of 15 Jr high kids together and they are going to be distracted by all of the outside noises etc. Also, that room was also what they set up for the lunch room. So we were unable to get in the room until 12:30 on Friday. No snacks for these kids and no where for them to put their stuff or blow off steam. What a nightmare. MCC offered a pre-ordered box lunch with a variety of options for $6.50. This was nice however, it was extremely unorganized. They also had more diet Pepsi than regular. Seems odd for a kids event ‍. The real odd part for me was that there was a mask mandate by both MCC and also FIRST robotics. I agree with this mandate, however they then stuck about 1000 kids and all of their parents in this make shift cafeteria to remove their masks and eat. There was not enough room for the whole team to sit and eat. The adults had to stand. But talk about a super spreader event! I mean why bother with masks if you're going to do that? I worked first aid and witnessed a panic attack over the cafeteria situation. I will say campus police were heavily present. Oxford highschool hosted the event and they did a lot to make them feel safe. Not to mention, Friday was a day of some stupid tick tock challenge so security was on high alert. One thing I found odd was that if there was an emergency we were directed by MCC to call campus police and not 911. But what are they going to do if we needed an ambulance? Just very strange. But thankfully, other than vomit, a sprained ankle from the bleachers, and a few bandaids there were zero major events.

For example, the "Merck Manual" a medical manual for medical students, doctors, and specialists in the healthcare field. The company Merck might add a few more words about the printed book. But I also came across kids language books. Italian, Japanese, and French books for elementary school to middle school children. Even French magazines.
