I really had reservations about putting my children here,…read moreso much so that last year we did an interdistrict transfer to one of the "top notch" schools in the district... big mistake. I really feel my son lost out by not going here sooner. The principal is great, truly loves his students and his staff. Encourages the children like nothing I've ever seen before. I have two boys one in 4th and one in kindergarten, I could not say enough about these teachers. they are amazing. my kindergartener is reading at a 2nd grade level and is whizzing through double digit math all ready. My 4th grader is at a 6th reading level and is also doing great in math. There are so many befor and after school activities/programs for the children. Every teacher and the principal gives each and every student a high five before they leave the campus, every day! Tall about being personally connected with your kids! They gave my 5 yr old a bladder infection because they wouldn't let her use the bathroom often…read moreenough. My daughter told me she was routinely told to 'just hold it' when she asked to go to the bathroom. I spoke with them about this and they said they gave her time to go, yet she still developed another bladder infection. She told me the second time that she *was* asking her teachers to go and they were still telling her to hold it. My older daughter confirmed this was happening. This was really upsetting and we left shortly after this point. Another incident that happened was bullying by one of the teachers Ms. Shama. She was very hard on my daughter who was struggling to learn her numbers in Kindergarten. It got so bad that my daughter started having nightmares about learning numbers. I was concerned enough to write a note to the teacher asking kindly to please understand she was still learning. My daughter later reported to me Ms. Shama refused to let her participate in any numbers or reading activities after that because she said 'your mom said you can't do any activities', which was of course not what I said in my note or in the quick f2f chat we had. I was really disappointed that an adult would treat a 5 year old this way.

She had a bit of separation anxiety but the teachers there helped to make dropping off an easy transition. The teachers are great, they did educational but fun activities and speciality days. My daughter learned a lot. We particularly loved her learning Star Spangled Banner and that the teachers gave her exposure to different languages. We certainly miss this school!

My wife and kids are Indian, and we were all taken aback by the mascot and name, which looked like something out of an early 20th century racist minstrel show. Do us all a favor please. Update on my last review 5 years ago. Our youngest daughter who is 4 just went there. We knew we…read moredidn't want to search for any other schools/daycare. Since our last experience was wonderful we decided to go back and entrust Ms. Maria and her staff with our daughter. We are glad we did. Our daughter really enjoyed herself, she came home excited to talk about her day, she sang us songs she learned at school, and had a positive attitude when she was home. All of the ladies there are just wonderful and caring. I'm glad Ms. Maria was apart of our family needs this time around as she was the last time we were there. I highly recommend Indio Learning Village. It was sad this time around knowing that this was the last time using Ms. Maria's service since our daughter will be entering Kinder.
