DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you look at reviews BEFORE using a company, AVOID MADISON like a plague! Notice how they do not respond to any of their dissatisfied customers? They are a NIGHTMARE and CROOKS! I would give ZERO stars if that was an option. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way because I was in a tight spot and trying to remain on schedule delivering freight. So I rushed to book them without reviewing when they said they can perform the service needed. My Commercial vehicle needed a regen on I-80 (Wyandot Service Plaza, Genoa) on Friday March 25th. The First roadside assistance could not complete it because there was a code. Madison Motor Service was called and explained the situation and said they can do it. Their technician showed up but claimed he can only do it at their shop, 15 miles away. He wouldn't let the driver drive the truck, claiming it needs to be towed and towing fee will be waived. We needed to transload the freight to another truck to ensure load arrived on schedule but Madison only wanted their staff to move the freight. They claimed to have staff on site and charged me $110 per person, per hour plus tax for at least 2 lumpers. I was in the middle of a memorial celebration for my mom. I explained that to the employee and asked him to wait 30 minutes for me to handle the payment when im done. He kept calling. I rushed to get back to him but ONLY 10 minutes later he says no one is available to transfer the freight. He Told my driver that he will have to take the truck off of their property to transload. He first agreed for an ECHECK because THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CARDS then says he don't know how to process that form of payment so pay $900 IN CASH ONLY! $900 for what? No explanation other than, if you want your truck to come off the property to transload, you must pay that amount. Then tells my driver that no mechanic is available until 2 weeks because they are on Vacation! When asked, Why would you tow my loaded truck to regen if NO MECHANIC IS THERE, they became even more disrespectful and continue threatening seizure of my loaded truck unless they receive the cash. I had to transfer cash to driver's personal account, the other truck driver had to take my driver to an atm and return to pay Madison. I have never seen such dishonesty and unprofessionalism in my life. This company is beyond dishonest, very greedy, inconsiderate and extremely rude. read more

Had my truck taken there by towing. It broke down on the highway and they were quick to respond, once they got out there the driver said he would have to tow it back to the shop. I explained that when I was driving it, I could not go over 35 mph so then I turned the truck off, and it would not start. They replaced fuel filter and regulator and found a relay bad and also a ground wire to the fuel pump that was faulty. They said this was the root of the problem. I agree it was the root of why the truck did not start back up, but my first concern was not addressed. "The issue of it not exceeding 35mph". When I got to the shop and picked it up, I asked if it was test drove. He said yes and come to find out they just drove it in a circle in there parking lot. Which you would not even reach 35mph to see if the issue was resolved. So here I am driving back home at 35mph and taking it to yet another shop. Minus 2k spent on the fuel issue. My other issue is when I spoke with the roadside mechanic I specifically asked if they do hydraulic since I have a hydraulic concern he stated "we do everything". I then said yes tow it back to your shop. He also stated they would D.O.T certify my truck to be on the road. Which it is not road worthy. So many false promises and no follow-through, they just wanted to get my truck to fire up and get me gone. Also, the few conversations I had with their shop manager "Allen" was very short with me and I even asked "long day" due to the tone of his voice. But in person was nice. Go figure. I would not go there again even if I broke down next door to their shop. Now I'm going to behind on jobs until my truck is finished which as we all know looks bad for my business and a loss of revenue. Roadside assistance was great, towing was great. Anything else don't do it. read more

My tire blew out on the Ohio Turnpike and got Madison Motor Services to get me off the turnpike and to where I could get repair help. Madison's flatbed showed up within minutes of my call and the voluble and friendly driver quickly got me set up and took me into Fulton where he found me both a great service garage (Firestone Complete Auto Care, separate review) and took me to a motel near the garage which would take me and my dog. Madison Motor Service (and the Firestone garage) show that outstanding customer service and value is alive and well in Fulton, Ohio. read more

My wife and I were on our way to Rhode Island from Seattle when our Uhaul broke down on the Ohio turnpike. When we called Uhaul they sent Madison Motors. The tow truck operator turned the key and knew exactly what went wrong on our truck. Not only did he tow a full 17 foot Uhaul with a trailer on the back, he helped us deal with Uhaul and saved us a lot of time driving to get a new truck. He recommended places to stay, eat, and let us come the next day with the new truck and transfer our belongings over in their lot. I have never had a good experience with a tow truck company until now. The staff's knowledge, professionalism, and positive attitude coupled with a good sense of humor made our breakdown a manageable event in our move across the country instead of a catastrophe. read more
