This apartment complex is for you if you are fine with: - poisons being sprayed all over the common green space areas where children play and people and dogs walk; - "landscapers" mercilessly mutilating what could be beautiful trees and flowering shrubs into small lumps; - the super loud sound of leaf blowers; - alarms going off for months without maintenance doing anything about it and them acting like you are the problem for asking them to fix the alarm and make the horrendous noise stop; - maintenance not communicating about the work they did, nor seeking clarification with you about the work that needs to be done, nor when they will be in your apartment doing the work, and then maintenance accusing you of being disrespectful for requesting clear communication; - automatic toxic room "fresheners" in the fitness rooms (I had so been looking forward to using them but did not want to breathe the toxins); - crazy loud HVAC units constantly blasting noise making you feel like you are in a non-stop giant engine room in your own home; - ridiculously bright light pollution that is hard to block out at night and visually assaults you when you look out your windows or open your door; there is no reason for such a multitude of super bright, white lights and it is a waste of electricity. When I moved in, there were several things broken in my apartment and things that still needed to be cleaned. Over the first month, maintenance was responsive and did the repairs and cleaning (like the ceiling fan that I could not reach to clean was caked in thick dirt and dust and grease, and the bathroom fan did not work because the painters sprayed the bumpy ceiling paint spray all over it), but they left all the dirt and debris for me to clean up. I never had that experience before where maintenance workers expected me to clean up their mess. It would be useful for them to have a checklist to go through before a tenant moves in to make sure that everything is working and clean. Other than that, the location is good. Visually the aesthetics of the buildings are okay. There is plenty of parking. I like that there are many trees around and I can go for long walks in the neighborhood. I like that they plant flowers at different locations there. The price is expensive but bearable.

Sheridan management made me feel very welcome from the beginning. Dawn and Kerry in the management office immediately made me feel like family, and made the application process smooth and simple. The maintenance staff are incredibly responsive and considerate of your needs and your time. Sheridan lease prices are very competitive, and the property offers nicely sized apartments with a contemporary feel--all within well-kept grounds with nice amenities. Heat being included makes Sheridan a "no-brainer" in the winter months. The amount I have saved by not having to pay for heat has been extremely helpful in my savings for a house. More important than any of the above though is that the other residents are all polite and friendly people. I have never had a negative interaction with a neighbor. We all happily exchange smiles and "hellos," while also respecting each other's privacy. There are a lot of young professionals living here, so I have never had to deal with excessive noise or other nonsense. It has truly been a pleasure living here at Sheridan Apartments. I cannot say enough good things about this experience.

The landscaping is quaint and makes the area a nice place for walking around during summer evenings. There's lots of guest parking. Minuses: No central A.C. Broken laundry machines regularly. Constant scent of curry on the floors and gym. Slow elevators. In my opinion, the price for rent is not worth it, but being a corporate business, Corcoran charges the amounts that people will pay to live in Shrewsbury.

1 Star - Save Yourself the Headache I lived here for far too…read morelong, and honestly, the best part of my experience was moving out. The property is poorly maintained and always looks neglected. The trash compactor area is constantly overflowing, with garbage and old furniture piled around it for days or even weeks at a time. It's one of the first things you see when driving through the complex, and it makes the entire place look run down. If you're a pet owner, don't expect much consideration. The complex allows dogs but removed all the dog waste stations, making it harder for residents to clean up after their pets responsibly. The atmosphere in the community wasn't much better. Many of the residents were unfriendly and rude, and there was very little sense of community. The office staff matched that attitude. They were cold, unwelcoming, and rarely even acknowledged residents when passing them around the property. One of my biggest concerns was the lack of supervision of children throughout the complex. Kids regularly ran through parking lots without paying attention to traffic and frequently threw toys, dirt, and even rocks at parked vehicles. It created both safety concerns and potential property damage issues. Maintenance requests were usually completed quickly, but the quality of the work was often poor and felt rushed. Even more frustrating, any notes or instructions provided about entering the apartment were routinely ignored. Winter was especially bad. Snow removal was either inadequate or nonexistent in some areas. Large sections of sidewalk would go uncleared, making it difficult and sometimes unsafe to get around the property. During snowy months, it felt like half the walking paths were unusable. The pool area was another disappointment. The pool deck was rarely cleaned, and debris was often floating in the pool itself. It was clear that routine upkeep wasn't a priority. There was also an older resident in the condo section who regularly yelled at and berated people walking their dogs, despite there being no rules prohibiting pets in those areas. Management appeared unwilling or unable to address the issue. Overall, this was one of the least welcoming places I've ever lived. Between the poor maintenance, lack of property upkeep, rude residents, unfriendly staff, and ongoing quality-of-life issues, I would never recommend this complex to anyone looking for a comfortable place to live. As I said before, the highlight of my time here was loading the moving truck and driving away for good.

Everything went well until it was time for me to move out, because they increased the rent by $200 more per month (whatever happened to being grandfathered in?). So, I found another apartment. I made sure we left their apartment spotless. I even hired a cleaner, and they did a great job. After I moved out, the office demanded that I pay $1,000 for supposed damage to their "chrome" refrigerator. I have absolutely no recollection of ever damaging it. When I asked for a picture of the damage, it turned out to be nothing more than a tiny scratch--about the size of a quarter--and hardly noticeable. Yet they claimed they had to replace their 2 years old refrigerator with a brand-new one. Seriously? Over a quarter-sized scratch? Come on. Is that really the thanks I get from them? If you want to move in, make sure NOT to scratch their chrome appliances.

This place is INFESTED with bed bugs. So after moving almost all of my things in, I report the issue and ask for a resolution. It's been 4 days and I've been spending my nights at hotels with no clear solution in sight. Everything I brought here has to be treated or disposed of, and while I wait for pest control to arrive tomorrow, all of my belongings are being exposed. So I'm completely stuck and in an impossible situation. I can't move, and I can't stay. The property manager has no real power and has to run back and forth between me and her manager to get anything done. I have suffered severe emotional trauma from this, it has been impossible to sleep and I don't feel safe here at all. They sent a rep from their preferred pest control company who clearly wants to keep costs low for his business partner, he was rude and incompetent. He kept insisting on inspecting items that had been here for a day or two, and ignored me when I tried pointing out where I had seen live bugs crawling around. I noticed feces in a small Crack in a bedroom closet, and asked of they could at least use silicone or caulk to prevent any further bugs from spreading in here while I wait for them to actually treat the space this Friday and they refused. As far as I know, they are also not treating any other units, which is obviously the source of the infestation. I have never dealt with anything like this, it's been one of the worst weeks of my life, and I literally have never even gotten an apology. I'm sick to my stomach with this place. Find somewhere else to live, don't make the same mistake I did.

Residents are now being told that it is a Massachusetts state law that everyone must leave the entire pool area whenever the lifeguard takes a break. During these breaks, all residents are required to wait outside the gate for approximately 10-15 minutes until the lifeguard returns. In previous years, the rule was simply that swimmers had to exit the pool and remain clear of the water while the lifeguard was away. At no point during the past 16 years has there been a requirement for all residents to leave the pool enclosure entirely. I have reviewed information from Mass.gov and other sources and have not found any state law requiring all patrons to leave the entire pool area during a lifeguard break. If this policy is based on a specific state regulation, I would appreciate being provided with the exact citation or source. My concern is not only whether this rule is being accurately represented, but also why a policy that is now described as mandatory was never enforced or communicated in previous years. If this is a local policy rather than a state requirement, residents should be informed accordingly. I respectfully request clarification regarding the legal basis for this rule and the reasoning behind its implementation.
