Sheridan management made me feel very welcome from the beginning. Dawn and Kerry in the management office immediately made me feel like family, and made the application process smooth and simple. The maintenance staff are incredibly responsive and considerate of your needs and your time. Sheridan lease prices are very competitive, and the property offers nicely sized apartments with a contemporary feel--all within well-kept grounds with nice amenities. Heat being included makes Sheridan a "no-brainer" in the winter months. The amount I have saved by not having to pay for heat has been extremely helpful in my savings for a house. More important than any of the above though is that the other residents are all polite and friendly people. I have never had a negative interaction with a neighbor. We all happily exchange smiles and "hellos," while also respecting each other's privacy. There are a lot of young professionals living here, so I have never had to deal with excessive noise or other nonsense. It has truly been a pleasure living here at Sheridan Apartments. I cannot say enough good things about this experience.

Plus our toilet backed up and took them 5 tries to fix it. Took the toilet leaking out. For them to take us serious. Than the dishwasher doesn't work. They said they fix but didn't. It is an apartment complex that does not have amenities such as a gym, pool, grills, etc. It is aimed at the working professional. The managers treat everyone like family which makes this place unique. They are courteous, professional, yet fun and VERY prompt with requests and suggestions. Note: because of the buildings being very new and privately owned, they are more expensive. However, you do get 9 foot ceilings, lots of room, in-house washers/dryers, central air, and the buildings are all energy efficient (our monthly electric bill hasn't passed $80 and we blast the AC almost all day everyday).

The alternative apartments were either: a) reasonable rent, generic with white walls, white carpeting, walled off Kitchenettes with old appliances b) high rent, well equipped with modern designs, fitness rooms (extra fees), tennis courts and outdoor pools Madison Place features apartments with a modern, open design. The kitchen faces out to the living area and has granite counter tops, new appliances and track lighting. Washer and dryer are tucked away nicely behind a sliding door. A bonus feature is the large storage closet directly across the hall from the apartment. It totally beats having to go to a storage cage in some creepy basement like most places. It's the kind of place where a successful professional would want to live. Madison purposefully lacks the outdoor amenities like a pool and tennis courts in favor of charging less for rent. I am always able to park close to my building with plenty of spots for company. In addition to the great design and reasonable rent, the office team, Jen and Mark, are incredibly good-natured, responsive and customer service oriented. I always leave the office with my questions answered and a smile on my face. Anytime I receive packages during the work day, I find them right outside the door of my second floor apartment. I could easily pick them up at the office, but having the staff bring them right to my place is a welcome luxury. Lastly, the couple times where I needed minor repairs, the maintenance guy, Eddie, completed the work the same day. Parking lots are well cleared during the snow. Essentially, if you want an upscale apartment for a generic apartment rent, with customer service oriented office / maintenance staff, I highly recommend MP in Shrewsbury.

Everything went well until it was time for me to move out, because they increased the rent by $200 more per month (whatever happened to being grandfathered in?). So, I found another apartment. I made sure we left their apartment spotless. I even hired a cleaner, and they did a great job. After I moved out, the office demanded that I pay $1,000 for supposed damage to their "chrome" refrigerator. I have absolutely no recollection of ever damaging it. When I asked for a picture of the damage, it turned out to be nothing more than a tiny scratch--about the size of a quarter--and hardly noticeable. Yet they claimed they had to replace their 2 years old refrigerator with a brand-new one. Seriously? Over a quarter-sized scratch? Come on. Is that really the thanks I get from them? If you want to move in, make sure NOT to scratch their chrome appliances.

I wouldn't recommend moving into Imperial Village Apartments to my worst enemy. While the location…read moreis convenient--five minutes from the hospital and right off the highway--that is the only positive. It is the sole reason they get away with charging $2,500 a month for an outdated, poorly maintained complex. Unprofessional Management & Neighbor Harassment: From the day I moved in, I was harassed by a downstairs neighbor who aggressively banged on his ceiling every time I walked around my apartment--even just walking ten feet from my bed to the bathroom. He regularly ran a vibrating device against his ceiling for 20-minute stretches, shaking my floors at all hours of the day and night. He even stalked me from his window as I left for work and targeted my pet sitter. Instead of addressing his extreme behavior, the leasing office continuously sided with him, making excuses for his outbursts and asking me to "change my walking patterns" and avoid wearing shoes in my own home. Despite continuous texts, emails, and voicemail warnings sent to me, management refused to resolve the issue, ignored my request to meet with the property manager, and never followed up on my offer to transfer to a different unit. They even threatened to tow my guest's vehicle based on this neighbor's complaint, despite having no clear guest parking policy. I spent my entire lease feeling targeted, nervous, and on edge in my own home. Maintenance & Complex Upkeep Outdated Units: Everything in the apartment is in terrible condition and constantly breaking. Incompetent Maintenance: Unresolved issues required multiple visits, including a constantly clogged drain, peeling bathroom paint, and a leaking dishwasher. Neglected Grounds: The dumpsters are perpetually overflowing, and the pool is filthy, full of dirt, and unusable. Do not be fooled by the convenient location during a initial tour. Save yourself the stress and stay far away from Imperial Village Apartments

Over…read moretime, it seems that new rules are being added each season, but the most recent change is particularly concerning. Residents are now being told that it is a Massachusetts state law that everyone must leave the entire pool area whenever the lifeguard takes a break. During these breaks, all residents are required to wait outside the gate for approximately 10-15 minutes until the lifeguard returns. In previous years, the rule was simply that swimmers had to exit the pool and remain clear of the water while the lifeguard was away. At no point during the past 16 years has there been a requirement for all residents to leave the pool enclosure entirely. I have reviewed information from Mass.gov and other sources and have not found any state law requiring all patrons to leave the entire pool area during a lifeguard break. If this policy is based on a specific state regulation, I would appreciate being provided with the exact citation or source. My concern is not only whether this rule is being accurately represented, but also why a policy that is now described as mandatory was never enforced or communicated in previous years. If this is a local policy rather than a state requirement, residents should be informed accordingly. I respectfully request clarification regarding the legal basis for this rule and the reasoning behind its implementation.
