I visited as part of a special Christmas open house sponsored by the downtown merchants. So, of course, the small shop was filled with interesting Christmas items such as vintage blow molds and ornaments. The clerk was friendly in this independently owned shop. The prices were on the high side, so I reluctantly left empty handed. I parked on about a block north and walked as there was no nearby parking.

I picked a nice old 12 pane window in this shop about 2 years ago. I like digging through the treasures to be had here. This is not a huge shop but still fun. This time I found a small bundle of old recipes and newspaper clippings. It was do much fun digging through them when I got home! Some recipes I will try and some there was absolutely no way I would try lol. The gal that runs this shop is always so friendly and seems to get joy from speaking to every person who comes in. I will stop in this shop every year during the holidays.

The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable about the items in his store. Do not hesitate to ask him questions just because he allows you the freedom to browse uninterrupted. My husband was so excited to find a military antique shop. Even spending an hour in the shop wasn't long enough for him. We went back this past week to purchase a specific item he found during our first visit. Unfortunately, he had sold out but said he was fairly confident he could find in a few weeks. Just reinforces, if you love it, buy it when you see it. They are always looking to buy military items, vintage clothing, or your antiques. Inside, there is a central aisle that leads back into the collection of antiques. The front of the store has local sports themed items, collectibles (Hummel and others), and some seasonal items. About midway into the store, the checkout counter is on the left. There are also displays of Bass Farms products (lotions and such). Towards the back are some lamps and quilts among the other items. Some of the items appeared to be newer than antiques, so I found it to be a nice/neat collection of assorted items. Maybe it won't appeal to those simply looking for strictly antiques or for bargain hunters looking for cheap stuff. This store is a hybrid of antique store, gift store and a flea market booth. It has a wide variety of items and many different rooms of them. The shopkeeper found a glass dish with a lid made in green glass. It works perfectly for my use and looks antique which is not what I was originally looking for but makes it even better. This store, Candy Kitchen and the Come N Get It restaurant have really opened my eyes to the downtown area of Martinsville. I'm sure they are more discoveries waiting for me.

This…read moreshop may have been the smallest shop I stopped in our this day but it was so clean and well organized. They did not crowd the items in the shop so it was very easy to shop in there. It did seem a little more pricey than some of the others on Jefferson Street but the items all looked too be of good quality. I still found something that I wanted in the shop. I get hot easy and I love the little hand fans that fold down and you can carry on your purse. They are not that easy to find for some reason. At least the good quality metal ones not plastic. They also had a nice wooden one. I look forward to seeing what they have in their shop next year.

I loved it! If you have a mid century modern soul like mine, then you should definitely stop in here. Very organized and everything was clearly marked. I loved all the things!
