This is an interesting spot that is more garage sale feel than flea market. A few of the sections were precise and made up with some thought, but the majority were seemingly just loose items dumped into a space. We were looking for furniture which is not heavily prominent here. The staff were friendly but I'm not sure how much you can find unless you spend a bit of time really searching. I don't know about anyone else, but sitting in the house can be so boring. The grass is always greener on the other side....Have you heard that? Some think I'm lucky to ride my Powerchair everywhere. I on the other hand would love to walk through this flea market!! If you like flea markets or garage sales, yard sales, searching for a bargain and you don't mind walking, then this might be the place for you. There's a nice booth that has guitars and amps, and other miscellaneous musical instruments . You will find new and used clothing and shoes. If antique furniture is your thing you can find it too. There is such a wide variety that you really have to go see it yourself. Have you heard this old saying? "One man's trash is another man's treasure." I highly recommend this flea market. read more

This place is so fun to go to!! I love coming here and just wandering around! There is something here for everyone.

The sign on the strip mall actually says Emporium 31! I thought it was a different store entirely because of the difference but it's not. I actually really liked this place. It's huge inside and I sped through it in about an hour and a half and got some sweet finds just grazing the surface of it. I will say it's more flea market than antique store. Because of that it has an extremely limited furniture selection and a huge junk selection - lots of knick-knacks and glass collectibles from grandma's houses. Toys and chunky costume jewelry are also easy to find here! Because it is more flea market in nature, quite a few if the vendors seemed to be present on a Thursday afternoon, even. It might work out in your favor if you want to haggle a price down. It's warm inside too, which is a plus because a lot if bigger malls like this get super cold inside when the weather's like this. Emporium 31 - My SWEET find. - Thrift Stores Near Me - Greenwood, Indiana

This place is hit or miss for a bargain you'll want to take home, but you'll always have a good time wandering the aisles. At the very least, it's a fun romp through a bit of local history, and at the most, it's a perfect place to frequent in search of that one piece your home is looking for. My wife and I make this a regular date day trip. Any time we have some time off, we'll stop by and peruse. We've only bought something two or three times, but each time it was an absolute steal. That's not to say everything is cheap. There are plenty of traps that are looking to sell you junk at a premium, but that's to be expected at any flea market. if you're familiar with flea markets and co-op sales like this, you'll have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is one of the good. It's clean, it doesn't have any lingering smells. The stalls are well laid out, not messy, and not cramped. The staff is always in a good mood, the stall proprietors are often there and willing to chat, and when you're done, you can stop off at any number of little restaurants in the same shopping area. I've been coming here since dating my wife, and we'll keep coming back as long as we're nearby. I'm definitely a fan. read more

The Emporium used to be located at 135 and County Line, but I'm really digging the new location. Everything is spaced out now, there's a LOT more room to move around. I don't know if they've added more booths or if spreading everything out just made it feel that way. Went here on a weeknight around 6:30pm, only to discover that they close at 7pm. I don't know if those are the hours they've always had (I usually wound up here on a Saturday) or if they are temporary hours while they adjust to the new location. Either way it seems kind of early to close up. read more

I should start by saying I love a good flea market find, so that you'll understand how I can overlook the odd smells and probable mildew that's happening at this fairly large location. I mean if you understand that after looking around a good flea market you'll feel the urgent need for a shower, then you'll like this place. They have everything from artisan candles and upcycled furniture to records and pianos, right alongside the standard generic shampoo and nail polish booths that seem to be at every flea market ever. Turnover isn't quick, so once every other month or so is the optimal visiting schedule, but like any good flea market, you never know what you'll find. read more

Stopped by the Emporium on 31 after leaving the one on Emerson. I've never been to a flea market where there wasn't a person manning every both. It's nice to be able to look around without feeling like you're being watched all the time. Another thing I enjoyed was the shopping carts and only checking out once, with your bank card. It seems like there is something for everyone here. Lots of cute booths with everything from appliances to pantry and beauty goods. read more

We try and visit this place a few times a year. Sometimes we find some bargains and sometimes we leave empty handed. However, we have went home with some pretty inexpensive and cool items that we would have never got if we didnt go. I wish they had a better record selection but unless you like Barry Manilow or Elvis don't go for the records. read more

Love the Emporium Flea Markets... not sure why, but Yelp only has one listed. There is one on Emerson Ave In Beech Grove, one on West Washington St next to 465, one in Anderson and one in Lafayette! The set up is a centralized check out and no vendors manning their booths. This gives you the ability to shop at your leisure without the vendor trying to sell you things! Shopping Carts are provided (and needed) since each location has over 100 vendors! read more

My family and I decided to stop in and look around after having dinner. We were followed the entire time by some creepy lady in a hat. She stopped my husband and asked him if he was going to buy something he had in his hand??? Weird!! While waiting to check out I found a silly mask I showed my kids and they laughed. I sat it down when we're done looking at it. I looked over my shoulder and that same creepy lady was hiding in a corner watching me and my kids!!! She asked if I was going to buy the mask.. I answered no. She then replied you need to put it back where you got it!!! When we checked out after spending $100!!! I told the young man at the counter and he said they do that sometimes????? My family and I usually enjoy going to Emporium 31 and finding hidden treasures, but today was not one of those days. My review is two stars because the booths themselves and my average experience is pretty pleasant. Today we noticed a sign on the door stating that masks are mandatory inside the establishment, yet the employees were not wearing masks...and that's just the icing on this cake. We asked a young blonde employee for assistance opening a glass case so my children could look through a bin of toys. The employee opened the case then proceeded to take/make a disturbing phone call right in front of my two children. I guess he had to stand there so we wouldn't make off with any 10cent toys. I won't go into details, although I wish I had recorded the whole thing on my phone, but there was profanity, threats, and talks of someone taking their own life. I tried to talk over the employee in an attempt to direct my childrens' attention to me instead, but he kept going on and on like he was in a back alley brawl. I told him we'd like to look through the toy bin somewhere else, just away from him, but he just apologized and continued his extremely inappropriate conversation! My boyfriend told him to take his phone call somewhere else and he moved back a booth but was still carrying on. Once he finally ended his phone call, he pulled my boyfriend to the side and apologized again *not to myself or my children * and then asked us for help finding his keys he had lost at some point during this phone call that consumed him and made him forgot where he was and who was listening! I would have liked to have spoken with a manager or someone who would actually care, but as I looked at the mask less faces as I mentioned before, I figured I'd just be wasting my breath. So this is my platform. I liked Emporium 31, but after today's trip and witnessing such an absurd lack of human decency in this particular employee, it's the one thing I will always remember and think of when I hear or see Emporium 31. read more

I am a huge bargain shopper and i love emporiums and flea markets. This store has progressed since the last few times i went.

I have been shopping and purchasing from the Greenwood location for several years. I have even purchased some big ticket furniture pieces. The other day I purchased some piano music and discovered what I purchased did not have the correct pages. They refused to exchange this 25 cent piece of sheet music, which could not be played, because the second page did not belong to that particular piece. After having been a good customer for years, I walked out and I refuse to shop there any longer. read more
