I have been looking for Skratch gummies in the Green Tea and Lemon flavor in a variety of running store in the Twin Cities area and have been disappointed. Not at Queen City! I avoided an online purchase and was able to restock my fuel stores. I also was able to get a limited edition Skratch drink mix. While checking out, two of the workers started talking to me about my fuel choices, validating my flavor selection. It made me feel right at home discussing delicious flavors with other runners. I would highly recommend Queen City for your running fuel needs!

There are four amazing bike shops in Marquette but I would vote Sports Rack to be the best for many…read morereasons. It starts with the employees. Every one of the employees here are personable and knowledgeable about all types of biking. You can tell these people have true passion and are not here for the paycheck. They know all about their bikes, the technology that goes into them, different types of biking, and the trail systems in and around Marquette. Next, the bikes. They have everything from road, to mountain, to snow, to hybrids. I believe they have the best price ranges in town besides Downwind Sports. You can get a reasonably priced entry level, or a fully loaded beast that costs more than your car. Their bikes often go on sale too at certain times of the year or for certain events such as the Dome Show. Next, the service. I believe it is unparalleled in Marquette. If you buy a bike from SR, they will service small adjustments, for free, for life. It doesn't get better than that. If that doesn't convince you to buy here, I don't know what would! They have fast turn around on their repairs too. On more than one occasion I have brought in a monkeyed up bike after a ride and walked out with a fully healed bike without even leaving the store. They are truly dedicated to keeping keeping people on the trails with as little downtime as possible. I have full faith in Sports Rack Ltd, and I will never buy a bike anywhere else.

The staff was great-super helpful and chatted right along with how great these bikes are and how they compare with the Salsa Timberjacks (because I've been considering settling for the timberjack) but never tried to change my mind and even gave me a discount and great new pedals and a flasher to ward off cars. Online, I came across Yooper Shirts. Since my ordering experience was so good, I thought I'd add this review! I was impressed when I called to inquire about sizes; the customer service was really friendly via the phone and they double checked some sizes and explained the fit to me. I placed an order and my only real caveat might have been the prices at first since they were a bit above average. My order arrived very quickly to California in just a few days. The sweatshirt I received was top-notch quality and I really liked the design--these elements, high quality material and designs, are definitely the strong suits of Yooper Shirts (pardon the pun). And, I could see why they might charge a bit more too. In person, once I got to their store on my visit, I was able to visit and see many more cool items besides the sweatshirts I had purchased. I read a bit about Yooper Shirts' history and found out it's a real local gem: They apparently began in Ishpeming, (say that 3 times quickly), and, over the years, grew into printing their own merchandise for clothing and opening a retail location in downtown Marquette. I definitely support small businesses like this and the small town atmosphere they organically grow in.

There are some packaged quilt projects if you like that. Bolts of fabric with are coordinated with each other. Lots of batiks to choose from. All kinds of accessories like plastic quilt piece templates. They do hold classes in the "kitchen" area of the shop. The owner is very friendly and because she was holding "Christmas in July" my package was packed with two fat quarters of Christmas fabric and some Russell Stover Chocolates. She only takes cash or checks.
