The store certainly had a wonderful selection of Michigan Technological University quilt fabric, and so much more. I took my time and looked forward to an hour of relaxing and picking out fabric. The joy of being in that store came to a screeching halt. The employees began a negative conversation about women, then progressed to speaking about women of color. Needless to say, if you care about where you spend your money, take a pass on this store.

There's an entire room of copper specimens and shelves full of both local rocks and minerals as well as specimens from all over the world. Prices ranges from a dollar or two on up to several hundred for the rarer ones. Those making a purchase are invited to make a selection from a "free rock bin" as they leave, too. My biggest complaint, however, was that a large percentage of the specimens on the shelves inside are not priced individually, and with such a wide range in sizes and potential prices, it can be difficult to know which items you may want to consider purchasing or not... after all, do you really want to lug a ton of rocks down to the cash register in the hopes you won't be breaking the bank?
