I've been wanting to try MoM for quite a while but every time I think of it, for reasons, it's Monday... when they're closed (because of course). But today is Tuesday, friends, and fortune smiled upon me. We had an Indian FEAST tonight and it's some of the best Indian food I've ever had (and we love it in this house). We got samosas (my favorite Indian snack) with a zippy lil mint chutney that was absolutely slammin'. There was Karampodi Chicken: flavorful, spicy, and deeeeee-licious. There was garlic naan, soft and wonderfully garlicky, and a light, crispy masala dosa served with chutney and sambar that was absolutely to die for. The chicken tikka was rich and spicy, and the Andrha Shrimp Curry was incredible. Delicious and SPICY. We got takeout so I can't comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant or service, but the food is an absolute home run. read more

Stopped here while we were in the area for a work weekend. We checked in at 9:30, and with the hours online saying open until 10:30 I figured we were good to go. We were sat as a party of 5 and were told very firmly that the kitchen closed at 10. So we figured it out quickly. Then we waited and waited for the waitress to come back. I gave chase around the corner and at 9:55 finally got her to come over to order. As we were ordering, the waitress cut my bud Vog off telling him to hurry. Insane. Then one in our party had to make a call but left us his order to put in - they didn't have any of it. Then she didn't write any of our order down -- 5 people. I ordered the butter chicken mild, which comes with rice. I added garlic naan and cheese naan as well. When the food came out it was solid - I'll give them that. Naan was good -- BUT THEY FORGOT THE CHEESE NAAN I ORDERED. Would have been nice to write that down ??? If this was take out - it would probably be 3.5-4 stars but the horrible attitude, the pushiness when ordering, and the you don't belong her feeling we were given is inexcusable. read more

We ordered pickup. It was ready in half the time stated so that was awesome. We got chicken tikka masala as we always do and it was flavorful but I wish it was hotter. The naan was just okay and I thought a bit overprice. The gobi Manchurian was incredible though, I wish I got two. I forget the name of the chicken dish we got but it was waaay too salty so it was basically inedible. That's the only reason they're getting 4 stars though. Got another great Indian food meal at another great Indian restaurant. I got the Malvani Chicken, which was delicious, and one of the best sides (apps) I've ever gotten at an Indian restaurant. The Mysore Masala Dosa was very tasty and it came with three different dipping sauces, which made it fun to eat. You can dip into a different sauce with each bite. We have been to the weekend buffet at Madness of Masala three times this year and that's saying a lot because we rarely go back to places that often. My wife in particular is a huge fan of the buffet and on one occasion, she even got her friends visiting from New Jersey to meet us there so that her friend and her husband - both foodies themselves - could try out the buffet. *What's* *Great*: 1) Extensive Selection: They have a wide variety of items - both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Something I particularly like is that the non-veg options include mutton - something few Indian buffets seem to include. I believe every time we have been there they have also had a fish item, although I have generally found that item to be an afterthought and not as worthwhile as the mutton item, which is pretty good. 2) Fresh Variety: There's enough variety so even though we have gone back on a few occasions, we have found new items to try. That keeps the place fresh. 3) Good Refill Policy: Unlike several other buffets - Indian, American, Chinese you name it - where restaurants try to keep costs manageable by simply not refilling their trays, these guys are good about refills. 4) Solid Service: Service is good. They are generally good at refilling waters or clearing out dirty plates even if one has to occasionally ask them to do those things because the few staff members there are managing several different activities at the same time, including keeping the buffet trays refilled. 5) Separate Veg/Non-Veg Tables: For anyone going in who is vegetarian, they can take some comfort in the fact that the veg and non-veg items are on separate tables. Thus there is little chance of someone using a serving spoon from the non-veg section of the buffet over to the veg section of the buffet. *What* *Needs* *Improvement*: 1) Tiny Bathrooms: I find the two bathrooms to be extremely small. In terms of size, they would surely compete with airline bathrooms. As Indian food is generally consumed by one's hands, I definitely wash my hands before starting to eat and occasionally, I will wash my hands in between plates so that I can take my next plate of food more easily. But every time I go to the bathrooms, I have to be very watchful of the tight space I am in. 2) Spiciness of the food: The food here tends to be on the spicier side. For my wife and I who grew up in India, that is not an issue but for my daughter who's lived here her entire life, she does find most items very spicy. On our last visit when I mentioned this to one of the wait staff, he noted that the kitchen would be happy to make something for the little (6-year old) girl upon our request. 3) Unclear Pricing: The first time we went there - likely around February 2025, I believe we were charged $20 per person but when we went again in April, we were charged $22 a person. I was unclear of whether the prices had increased in the two-month period (unlikely) or whether the person charging us $22 had simply made a mistake. I JUST checked as I was writing this review and in spite of looking at their webpage and their Instagram page, I still don't know exactly how much their weekend buffet is priced at. They should fix that. 4) No Knives Available: Another minor thing is that they do not have knives and that proved to be an inconvenience for our guests. Bottom Line: All in all, this is the best Indian buffet out there - slightly better (although a bit more expensive) than Aman's Indian Bistro in Phoenixville, the only other buffet I know of in the area. On any given weekend, when going out, Madness of Masala is always an option for us as we enjoy the wide assortment of items available. read more

I usually like to try different restaurants rather than going back to the same spots, but I kept raving about this restaurant to my partner. We tried their weekend buffet, it's $20 from 12-3pm. It's honestly worth every penny, you get to try so many different foods and for that price I don't feel the need to gorge myself to get my money's worth. They also had chai and mango lassi as drink options. Service was better this time around, there was only 2 people working but they kept trays refilled and cleared out plates at a reasonable time. Truly the best Indian food in Southeast PA! The dishes are the most authentic you will find anywhere. While they serve the Indian standards their expertise is in authentic south and north Indian that you don't ever see on other menus. We ordered andhra chicken and palak dal. Both were first time tries and nailed the flavor! We have never had a bad dish from here and always feel good about trying something new! If you aren't sure check out the buffet on the weekends. When we first got to this place, we were not sure we made the right decision as there was just a couple eating there on a Friday dinner time. There was no music and the decor is mediocre. There is a section where they sell frozen stuff and drinks.. like a small marketplace We ordered our food and waited for about half hour. But when we got our food, it was really delicious and the southern spice is really unique and it is not like any Indian restaurant. Highly recommend it just based on the taste of the food. My friends and I ordered varying dishes to try because we aren't very acquainted with this type of cuisine. The Dahi Puri was my favorite because the yogurt was a unique surprise that left me craving for more. It's nothing like I've ever had, and I'm glad I got to experience it. The Chaat was the star for our table because there was a burst of flavors that is unfamiliar to our taste buds and left us feeling full and satisfied. The service and ambiance was not particularly noteworthy, but our meal was the most important aspect of our dining experience. New Indian restaurant in Trooper area. They are young South Indian owners who serve regional food with the North Indian classics as well. Food tasted more fresh and homestyle in a good way. Haven't tried their dosas yet. They offer a buffet on the weekends for $19.95 with a wide selection of items. Gobi Manchurian was great as well as some South Indian vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Chicken tikka were large boneless pieces of chicken cooked in a tandoori oven. Items could have been warmer even though the buffet just opened. Lamb/mutton and some chicken dishes have bones which is authentic. Masala tea had good ginger and cardamom flavor. Madness of Masala is easily the best Indian food I've had in the US, and possibly better than much I've eaten in India. If dining in, you must be patient for great food, so don't expect it instantly. We had dinner here last night and this new place didn't disappoint at all! Not only is the food authentic and delicious, the service is excellent too! The server took the time to explain the menu to us. We ordered 7 different dishes - 3 appetizers and 3 entrees - every one of them is unique and good. The appetizer Gobi 65 (Gobi = Cauliflower) is delicious, and I usually don't like cauliflower! I will order the dish again. We were told they order their spices directly from India!! We are so happy to find an Indian Buffet near us! The restaurant is nondescript but the food is well-spiced and delicious! There were 8 non-vegetarian entrees and nearly double that number of vegetarian entrees, including several we have not had elsewhere. Called ahead for a late lunch/early dinner for a party of eight. Our table was waiting for us when we arrived. Most in our party were not too familiar with Indian food. Cy our waiter gave concise and complete explanations of the main type of dishes. In response to our request he made specific suggestions for somosa/pakora-like appetizers, as these were not on the menu: Baby corn Manchuria and Gobi 65 (dry). These dishes were excellent! All the food was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. We especially enjoyed the Chicken tikka masala, Butter chicken masala, Mama special chicken pulao and Hyderabadi red chicken. The naan was wonderful (and fresh out of the oven), and the chai was well balanced. Spice levels were just as requested. Service was leisurely; I assume because all dishes were prepared from scratch.
