Met my daughter for lunch and it was delicious. I had the pork and she had the brisket. Both were cooked to perfection. Counter service was crisp and friendly. Some will dislike the outdoor seating, but bbq should be consumed in consumed in old buildings and outdoors. read more

Everyone lines up when MaePop's is open. The potato salad is a sure favorite but they have great choices for sides even though the BBQ is their main feature. Check for the hours but come early if you want some of everything because folks send others and the orders can be large and go fast. That tells you how special this place is. read more

Finally tried this yesterday when a friend brought it over to my house. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and the pickles and slaw I added it to it made it even better. I don't usually choose smoked meats, but the smoked turkey was juicy and the smoke taste was not at all overwhelming like smoked meat can sometimes be. Oh and the nachos are worth getting fat over! I had ridden by this place several times on Sunday when it was closed. I made a mental note to come by on a Saturday. It was a good call. The line was 6 deep when I got here just before noon. Now that I have finished my pulled pork sandwich it is 14 deep. While I was in line I was worried that they didn't take plastic but they do. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It cost $8 I typed it with their original sauce and coleslaw. I didn't think that one barbecue sandwich would ruin my dinner but it might. They slipped me a one bite sample of brisket and smoked turkey. Both were on point! Canned drinks were complimentary. The next time I ride by on a Saturday I hope I have room in my stomach to make a stop. If I do, I will ruin my dinner with a brisket sandwich. read more

Very nice impression of the lady that took my order. The free soda was a nice touch. I wish I had been more impressed with my bbq sandwich. My wife and I have gone here on several occasions and they're always outstanding. Their sandwiches and their nachos are amazing! They have a great selection of sauces and the staff is very friendly. They have country music or Christian music playing under the awning and have fly detergents on them to protect your food. I've not had any bad experiences whatsoever - just a full belly. read more
