I love Maggie's Place in the Nations. It's such a fun neighborhood spot with great drinks and really good prices for the area. Their patio is huge and it's one of my favorite places to bring my dog because they're super dog friendly. My only wish is that they had a little more seating because the patio can fill up quickly, especially on nice days. I also love that they do different events like bingo and trivia. I came during the winter for bingo and it was such a fun thing to do with friends. The food is just OK, but I think this place really shines for the drinks, atmosphere, events, and overall vibe. Definitely a great casual spot to hang out with friends or bring your pup. read more

I stopped by for a quick, convenient lunch. They have a parking lot, which is definitely a plus. The decor is cute, and I liked the atmosphere. The service was good too. I ordered the buffalo wings. The sauce was tasty, but the skin was unusually thick and tough, which made them unpleasant to eat. Unfortunately, I couldn't even finish my meal because of it. read more

Someone bring out Maggie so I can kiss her!!! In all serious, what a gem of a place. Los Angeleno here visiting her dad and we showed up just before 9pm on Christmas Eve-Eve. It was Taco Tuesday and they were doing Buy One Get One Free tacos + $6 margaritas and $4 drafts! You need a f@&%ing time machine to get a deal like that in Los Angeles and even then, it likely wouldn't be half as good as what we had here for the price. Stephanie was a rockstar, super funny and sweet and attentive. We got hella food: - Guacamole ($10) was limey and fresh and delicious - Elote Dip ($12) it was giving chilled esquites but if it were closer to a cowboy-caviar type salad. sooo good. - Chicken Wings ($22) the mesquite rub was a little salty if I'm honest, but the wings were super juicy. We got them grilled! - Caesar salad ($12) tasty, but a lot of dressing. Next time I'd get it on the side! Personal preference. - TACOS! The pastor pork belly was SO good, especially with the pineapple tidbits. The steak, shrimp, and chicken were excellent. My dad loved his cheeseburger taco the best and I thought the fish taco was pretty good (perhaps a touch dry but the slaw and sauce made up for it). Literally no complaints. Each one was better than the last. - Two rounds of sweet, tangy, Tajin-rimmed margaritas. Good god, these were delicious. The place itself is adorable. There's a whole outside yard with sports on, cornhole, and plenty of tables to hang out with friends, family, and I think even your dog (we saw a precious one!). I think they literally turned a house into a restaurant space, and they maintained some of the original elements for a really homey feel. They kept the fireplace, garage door, front porch--the whole place feels cozy and inviting. Lots of TVs for sports fans but it was pretty quiet inside (likely due to the holiday season) and the music was great, too. They were all decorated for Christmas, which I thought was an awesome touch. Big shouts to Ian and to Stephanie for a wonderful experience. I'm so glad this place is less than 10 minutes from my dad's place. I'll be coming back here every time I visit! I hope they stay open for a long, long time. read more

The vibes here are immaculate! So so lovely on a nice spring night, with a beautiful view of the sunset. Pretty strong happy hour deal M-F 3-7pm offering $7 margs and $8 mini tacos among other things. The mini tacos live up to their name, they're about 3 bites each, but I thought the taste and presentation was awesome! They do need to work on their queso though, it was mediocre. My friends ordered regular sized tacos and said they were really good! They're also filled to the brim with various ingredients. I would definitely try the French fries with elote next time! This place is truly a great addition to the neighborhood. Also, they have at least 2 big screens for sports, maybe 3! read more

I was only in Nashville for two weeks, but I stopped here about two or three times. It was the same bartender each time nice guy with a mustache. He always gave a good welcome and good service. We stopped in on taco Tuesdays, which they have a margarita on tap for six dollars and tacos are two for one. I wouldn't say either the tacos or margaritas were extremely remarkable just very good and at a nice price point, which is hard to find in this day. All that to say, they were very tasty and well prepared with a nice variety of creative toppings and sauces. I also appreciate their variety of Mezcal and the bartenders knowledge of it. I like the vibe of the place I think it's the golf grass that they have but it kind of gives a tropical vibe lol. They had some pretty cool music playing, and overall if you have welcoming happy seeming staff that always helps. All I know is when I come back to Nashville I'll definitely pop back in! read more

Food was good, chicken and pork belly tacos were delish! Guac was amazing!! House margs were also very good. The problem was the service, maybe we had a one off bad experience but it took 20 minutes to get our first round of drinks (2 margs, 1 beer, 1 water). We asked multiple times for our drinks but the server had no sense of urgency. We finally had to order at the bar because the server didn't have time for us. Again, could've been one bad experience. We also went for a football game because they advertised the games but didn't have the sound on. Seemed a little silly to advertise but not have the sound on. read more

This was my second visit to this restaurant. The first time, I had the pork belly tacos, which were enormous and incredibly delicious. However, this time, the tacos were incredibly thin, and every part of them was burnt. To make matters worse, they were all cold as well. Three of us ordered tacos, and for some inexplicable reason, they decided to put all of our tacos on the same plate. Pass. read more
