We came here for a change of scenery and to see what kind of slots they had. I'm surprised that we've never been here before. My husband was happy that they had some of his favorite slots. It wasn't difficult getting on most machines but there were some machines that the people on them were not leaving anytime soon. They have a Concessions area where we saw yummy looking pastries. They also have a variety of food items available and the pricing looked reasonable. We were a little hungry so we ordered a Cuban Toast which came out steaming hot! I think it was around 10 pm when we saw a server walking around with a tray full of 4 oz styrofoam cups. They were giving out complimentary chicken soup. I'm not sure if that's something that they do every night or it was a special day. We thought that was pretty cool. The staff that we encountered were all friendly. From the bartender to the Players Club representative and the servers. They have a Magic City Casino shuttle that you can take for only $5 and they'll give you $30 free play for doing that. The only downside to that would be that it takes 2 hours to get to the casino from Broward County and you're there for 4 hours. This was one of the most uncomfortable and disrespectful experiences I've ever had at a business. I went to the front desk to cash out my wife's voucher, and the employee, Angel Martinez, made the entire situation completely inappropriate. While "helping" me, he was staring me up and down, licking his lips, and then had the nerve to ask for my number all in front of my wife and daughter. It was humiliating, disturbing, and beyond unprofessional. I felt extremely uncomfortable and honestly violated by the way he behaved. No employee should ever act like that toward a customer, especially in front of their family. It created a very tense and upsetting situation for all of us. On top of that, when he processed the ticket voucher, the amount was incorrect. So not only was his behavior completely out of line, but he couldn't even do his job properly. This place seriously needs to reevaluate who they hire and how they train their staff. Customers should feel safe and respected not uncomfortable and disrespected. Fun casino with a great outdoor arena. Magic City is great to host our pre-cruise party. Food trucks were available serving Empanadas (at a great price too) and two alcohol tents with another full bar located in the stands. The restrooms are spacious and clean (bonus in my book) and the entrance tunnel serves as a great location for selling merch. Not a bad seat in the house. Honestly, the best thing about this place is a select few of employees, Carlo being an absolute star. I came and had the Sunday buffet. Absolutely disgusting. The BEST thing about it was POTATO SALAD. That's it. Their meat was cold, anything baked was cold as well, or warm and disgustingly mushy. First and foremost:::: your kitchen staff needs better training or better pay, because their efforts are horribly lacking at this moment. I say this, having worked in restaurants. How things came out? We would have been embarrassed - cold, sloppy food would never have made it out the door. Why does it matter that the fries were cold??? There was ONE SINGLE PERSON besides me eating there at the time. Obviously, customer care is nowhere near the top of "restaurant" staff priorities. No, I didn't bother to complain. Why? I've lived in South Florida over 25 years and had always seen signs for Jai Alai and now I know what it is. What a cool sport, and a cool little arena space they have. I'd give this casino a minus 0 if I could. They advertise as the casino that gives the most prices yet I haven't seen that happen. Also, they send you a brochure by mail offering you a free gift every week and every time you go there's never a gift available. If you're going to offer a "free gift" for thousands of people that go there, then order enough to have plenty for everybody. Then what they do is offer you a $15 credit so you can end up redeeming it and may even spend a $1000 out of your own money instead of $15 because you're there already. I visited the poker room as I do once a month for some enjoinment Dec 20. As I was waiting for 1/2 poker seat I went and watched the other poker tables near the cashier. As I was watching in a table with 4 players I was stading 3ft away from table learning on how the game is played. I never spoke other than to say I didnt wanted to play, but the female player sitting to my left an older lady was upset that I had my hands crossed... it was cold there tonight. But that gave her the reason to request I be removed far away from the table I was not doing anything inappropiate nor I have said anything and I was being beey cordial. Few minutes passed and a lady there that was the floor manager told me that I cannot stand there and see the game, it wasnt allow due to the rules of the house. I asked her to show me the rules of the house to make sure I wasnt violating or doing anything wrong and she bluntly said that she didnt have any rule book that I can read. This to make sure I didnt do anything that can potentially be thrown out. She explicit told that if she said or made out any rule she has the final word and thats it I think its unreal what just happened , there wasnt anything posted nor a rule book I could read and follow. So I was recently in Vegas on the day they dropped the mask mandate and instantly the next day if you were fully vaccinated you did not have to wear a mask. Clearly the management doesn't believe the science or the federal or state government saying masks are no longer required. Secondly workers here don't speak English, at all. I speak Spanish but last I checked we were in the USA. When you ask a question in English, the staff here is rude. Their website advertises the fronton is open and Jai Alai is on Sat,Sun,Mon, and Tuesday. We even called to confirm. We were told the information was correct. A few days later we arrived and nobody seemed to know where the front on is. When we found it we were told that games were only viewable via television and only on Saturday. Visited casino on Sunday 6/8/25. Smoke free and excellent selection of machines. However service is subpar. Cocktail waitress rarely walk the floor. Played for over two hours without one cocktail server passing by, requiring I go to bar for service. After two hours only one cocktail server was walking the floor the others were huddled in the bar chatting. Had service button on for 3 hours without an attendant coming to assist. Loyalty members earn food credits , yet it takes 45 minutes after you finish playing (remove your card from the machine) before food credits are applied. No manager on duty despite it being 1 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon. No host or player development personnel available to assist. This has happened multiple times but the services is getting worse. Players club unable to assist simply state you have to wait we have no managers or administrative personnel on duty. Supposed to be smoke free casino yet guests constantly vaping and staff not addressing the issue and instead ignore and allow the guests to vape. While I cannot comment on the casino portion of the place, I can comment on it as a host for shows. You see, I have attended Croquetapalooza and The Chonga Girls World Tour featuring Abuela there. Now before anything, I must say that one of the things this place has going for it is the vast amount of free parking. Yes, free parking! How often do you see this as these large venues? Not to mention that they are extremely organized and they have systems where you can buy tickets online. Eventbrite anyone? Score! The first time I attended a show there was back in August. It was Croquetapalooza and it was sold out. There easily must have been over 1,000 attendees, and yet, it was manageable to walk, if a bit difficult to find chairs. Still, the place was kept clean and the event ran smoothly. No one left home hungry, which is an impressive feat in itself given the amount of people who went. Anyway, the second show I went to was The Chonga Girls World Tour featuring Abuela. This show was much smaller than Croquetapalooza, but I think it surprised me much more because they had so much seating available. It also did not feel cramped at all, so needless to say, when they mentioned the show sold out I was shocked. Something to note if you attend a show. They have a VIP Lounge. Both times I have gone, it has been open, but I do not know if that is always the case. At any rate, once the show ends, you can always gamble or go downstairs to the Burger Beast Museum. The place is popping with options. No way to be bored there, that's for sure. read more
