I visited today to buy a low cut bra for a dress I'm wearing to a wedding this weekend (I brought that dress with me) and they found my ideal bra in minutes! They offer a FAB range of bathing suits, support garments, bustiers, and underwear, as well. It's tough to walk out of here without buying something, so I was puzzed to overhear a woman walk in and confidently announce that she was just interested in finding out her size. They charge $20 to measure you and frankly, I don't blame them. Take a chance! Try on a bra, you will definitely find something you like enough to buy. read more

Honestly, ladies don't waste your time shopping here. Also, this place is not LGBTQ+ friendly as they claim to be. Let me point out that I happened to be a 5'8" 204IBS heterosexual Hispanic male. When I told the owner of Magic Corsets that I do drag every year for Halloween, I asked her in a respectful manner if she can measure me to find out what my bra size is. She not only flat out refuse to do so but try to take my money by claiming that there's a "measurement fee" had I left the store empty handed. I walked in today cause I needed a strapless bra for a gown I'm wearing...I walked in was greeted by a sweet lady who works there, I explained I was looking for a nude strapless bra that wasn't too pricey ( since I rarely wear them) she took my measurements and pulled out a few for me to try on , all while sticking to my budget. I was so pleased with the service, she took note of what I liked from each bra and what I disliked and didn't stop till I found the perfect fit and I ended up walking out with what I asked for. I came into the store to buy underwear. Without any greeting, Larisa, the owner of the store, approached me saying "you have a horrible bra, you have to buy another one!". Meh. You obviously have to be a Russian Jew to get the good service at this place. I gave it 2 tries this week. The first time one of the ladies was pleasant and did say she would help me, but she was overly consumed with kissing the ass of an entitled customer whose 3 brats were running around screaming and manhandling everything, pulling merchandise off the racks. The second time one of the other women was just very dismissive so I left again. I'm not going to spend money where they are overtly rude. They have the same bras as Macy's at twice the price. I came in looking for a corset to go under my wedding dress. I showed the ladies there a picture and they were extremely helpful! Right away the young woman who helped me told me that I would be better off with a shaper than a corset. ----------------------------------------- She helped me when I needed in the fitting room, and was completely honest and sincere. Sadly, I just can not recommend this place. Here's why: my African-American boss and I both bought some lovely nighties here one lunch hour. By the next day, we both had "buyer's remorse" and decided to return our similar purchases, which we did (but separately). Let me just say that I had been fitted for bras before and by far the BEST service I've received was here at Magic Corset and I am a very picky person to please! I went there looking to buy bras and just a heads up, don't be surprised if the sales lady gets into the dressing room with you. It's a full service thing lol, I got help to put the bras on, off and even to situate my breasts. Many women have a weakness for shoes. My weakness is lingerie and pretty underwear. I was in the area and the window display looked gorgeous so I went inside. The moment I went in, someone asked me if I needed help and after hesistating for a bit, I decided why the heck not. I walked over to her and she told me I was wearing the wrong bra size and promptly told me what size I should be wearing. Now, I was shocked...since I am kind of a busty gal and the size I was told put me firmly in beige, black and white bra with four hooks territory. Not here. The lady (I wish I'd gotten her name) pulled out a box in my size and pulled out some nice bras. After being groped and fondled (this place is absolutely NOT for the modest), I ended up really liking two (and this is where the place loses a star) one was $80 and the other was $60. Don't these ladies know we're in a recession?! I ended up buying one anyway because I'm frivolous like that. I probably would have bought them both if I wasn't moving next month. Nice little shop...probably would've bought a few things from here BUT I came in looking for a corset for my wedding dress. I was immediately measured and handed a corset. A girl helped me put it on and it was too big - it did nothing for my figure (no tummy tuck or tata push). So I asked if there was something else that was firmer. The girl answered "No" and walked out of the dressing stall. Okay, so I got dressed and came out and see her sitting down with her lunch. I have to ask again, "There's no other style or fit you have?" She answers no again and continues to eat. I gaze at the row of corsets, spanx, bustiers and more behind her - I wonder how they make money by not selling their merchandise. I don't think a 36D is an odd size. I have no trouble finding that size in stores. But the ladies in this shop offered no help in finding anything for my wedding. They didn't even suggest some wedding lingerie or a lacy bra...so I left empty-handed. I had a much nicer experience at Nordstrom's Bridal Center in Roosevelt Field Mall. I'm going to say this shamelessly and without regrets, but this place is MAGICAL. I happen to have one of those odd bra sizes where I simply could not find a bra anywhere. The closest to success was a trip to Intimacy where they were both pushy and not helpful. Two strikes right there, I walked out with nothing. After that, I desperately went to Yelp and came across Magic Corsets. The trip took an hour and the bra was 75 dollars, but it was some of the best customer service I've EVER experienced with clothes shopping. These women KNOW their stuff, have a varied selection, are extremely helpful and friendly, and were NOT ONCE PUSHY. Having a well fitting bra is such a life altering experience when you are wearing the wrong size for years. My first visit was during the summer and I ended up returning in the fall to purchase a corset. Once again, super helpful in finding exactly what I desired. The ladies even remembered me! That's a good 10 extra points in their favor! I give this place five stars without a second thought. I tell everyone who has bra shopping troubles to go here. In fact, I'm due for another trip to be measured and look forward to the fantastic service! read more

The size variation is great, and i highly recommend both this location and the Brooklyn location. In terms of variety of merchandise for women of all shapes and sizes - this store deserves 5 stars. They cater to women that stores like Victoria Secret simply don't serve. I found a bathing suit top which fit fairly well. I wanted to buy it, but the store told me that I could only buy with a bottom. There were two options for bottoms, but were awful grandma underwear. I asked to purchase just the top, nope, no go they said that this bathing suit company only sells as a set. I passed, I couldn't bring myself to pay $60 for a pair of bottoms I would never wear. Went on the company's website to find that they absolutely sell separates - these guys were just trying to up sell me. Ordered the top directly. I hate to do that, it undermines the brick and mortar store - but I'm not throwing out money on product I'll never use. read more

Today was my second visit to Magic Corsets, they are divine... Lisa and Marina are total experts. One touch and you get a steady flow of bras in your dressing room. Word for the modest.. You can't be modest coming here because they want to ensure that you are fitted comfortably and you are happy in your under wear. The store was a little busy today, unlike the last time I visited. My friend really needed some support and pull up, after babies our boobies tend to have direction of its own. She left the store with one of her new bras on, she didn't want to take it off. I picked up a black full coverage to the beige I had on. Lisa remembered me from my last visit and also remembered my size! These girls are experts, old fashioned fitting and somehow mind readers, you don't usually know how to explain what you need, but once in that dressing room you instantly feel like a new woman with their choices. Prices are reasonable, not over the top. Quality of merchandise are exceptional. They also advise you on care for your purchases. Will be back in the summer for strapless fittings. I have been going here for a few years and I am absolutely in love with this place. I have a large bust and finding a place that offers bras that will give me support and still make me feel like I'm sexy has always been challenge until I cam across this place. Now it is the only place I go to for my bras. The staff is incredibly helpful and they always provide you the best items for your size and for your price range. They never pressure you into getting more than you bargained for and they always make you feel incredibly sexy by the time you walk out. Every time I get a new bra from here, I feel instantly slimmer and I feel like I walk out with perkier boobs. Bring your boobs here and they will be thanking you daily. Once upon a time there were bra stores in most shopping areas. Those days are long gone. But thankfully in Forest Hills there is this exquisite store with bras available in an assortment of styles and sizes for all of us ladies, small, big and everything in between. What I really appreciate is the range of products and prices available. They have the mid range quality and prices as well as high end. You can try on what you pick there and make sure it fits you well. The staff here is very knowledgeable and know their product lines and are able to advise you of what lines are best suited for you. This is important because most places just sell stuff but know little to nothing about their business and how to help you. That is absolutely NOT the case here and that is what puts the magic in your corset here. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Maybe I should add that I am constantly trying to convince the owner to open a store in Florida where I live part of year. I really loved this place. They make you feel comfortable. They are not pushy. I brought my daughter in to get a bra for her prom dress and she got measured and fitted. The lady that helped us even helped her to put the dress on so that we could see how it fits under the dress. Wow! They are so very helpful she knew right away what to get. I came here with my girlfriend to get her some corsets and such. We found the experience to be quite pleasant. While the store itself is small, the woman running it were amazingly nice and a pleasure to work with. They were patient in trying to find fitting corsets for my girlfriend, who doesn't have the most standard of sizes. They had no problem opening packages and letting her try different things to see what would fit and how. Making sure that everything we ended up with in the end, not only fit well, but accentuated her short and well built figure. Every time I come in here I leave very happy. The sales associates are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Some of the bras are expensive but definitely worth it. They're all high quality and will last a long time if you take care of them. I want to come back next year to get a swimsuit because they had a nice selection of those too. Not a great experience at all. I walked into Magic Corsets ready to buy something new for my upcoming wedding. I walked in and wasn't greeted at all. The ladies who worked there didn't seem interested at all in helping me even though I was the only person in the store. I walked up to the counter and stated that I was specifically looking to find something for my wedding and both of them just batted their eyes at me and mumbled something. I said, "Okay I'm going to look around a bit". Neither one of them came over at that point. Which solidified that they had no intention of trying to help me. I browsed for a couple of minutes but it was hard to find anything since there was no clear organization system. Suffice it to say I walked out empty handed. As a local I like to support small businesses in the area but this business sadly missed the mark.
