Nope Blake's Coastal Nursery does not carry carnivorous plants but it's still an amazing nursery. Obviously the chickens will always be my favorite! Only if baby goats and chickens were together would it be better. I digress. The grounds looked awesome. I liked the fountain BY the chickens. I took a picture of this really beautiful woman sitting by the fountain. She really made the picture better. If you live in the area, your blessed with a nursery that has a great selection of plants, shrubs and small trees. Don't forget to check out the chickens.

They were friendly, and worked hard. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. They are great! Unfortunately, many of the products have not held up to reasonable standards. Sofa cushions lost all support within 1-2 years, despite costing over $1,000. A $3,000 laundry set failed after just 3 years and had to be replaced. A beautiful $1,000 queen bed purchased around 2021 had the frame and slats break underneath. Their typical process involves sending someone to confirm the damage, then reporting it to the manufacturer. You're often left waiting--sometimes six months--for a resolution, like a replacement cushion, and only after repeatedly following up. In the end, their position is clear: if you're buying for a rental, you should expect their products not to last, and it's not their responsibility.

Bought a $600 EGO electric mower-assembled, delivered. It started up. That's all. The blade did…read morenot turn. We called Ace and followed all directions about 6x over. No luck. Called and put on hold 28 minutes, only to be told that their hold system wasn't working (Nice!), and that the Assistant Manager was actually at lunch. (So I was waiting for nothing on a messed up line). They never called back that day or the next as they promised. We called back the following day to see if somehow service quality had changed. Sadly, it had not. They said we could bring it in. We're seniors with a compact car...We said we just wanted a refund after all of the problems with the machine and with the employees. They refused. They INSISTED upon scheduling someone to come out to look a the non operational brand new never used lawnmower. We don't want it now. We would like a refund. We don't understand why we cannot get a refund. We have the purchase order. They NEVER gave us a warrant card or manual (my partner should have made sure to get this but he forgot/didn't realize at the time of delivery). So that part is partially our fault. EDIT: Today they sent out a technician after I called them again to explain again that I did not want the lawnmower. The Assistant Manager said she would call me back. A guy called me back shortly thereafter and said he would be out in 30 minutes to pick up the lawnmower. I am grateful that this situation was resolved to our satisfaction and we appreciate the courtesy of the guy who picked up the lawnmower. He was very friendly.

I absolutely love the Ace store South specifically. They are so polite and kind. The other day I made an online order on the Ace online, which was giving me a lot of trouble. I went into the North store where my order got more screwed up. No one took care of it there and they were incredibly rude making faces and gestures, as if I did not understand what was going on then after it was all screwed up and the order didn't go through the manager basically told me to call corporate, which did no good. I then called Melissa because I know her through her husband and they are just beautiful people all around. She took care of the problem completely the day after Christmas because she knew I had rushed to the North store the day before Christmas desperate to get the sale item when the store was closing at 3 PM. So here she was taking care of an issue from another store that should've been taken care of it self. Again, every time I've been there, everybody is lovely. I love talking to Debbie. She has helped me with items and taking so much time with me to teach me to be able to do things I need to do. Being a woman it's not the easiest thing in the world learning how to do your own handyman work and understand how to use tools and devices. But it should be respected and Encouraged as well as understood that we are living in a difficult time where people now have to do a lot of their own work. I will continue to shop at the South store as long as I live here. I wish I could say the same about the North but I can't. They always make me feel unwelcome and seem to laugh at my shortcomings with knowledge about items. They seem to go out of their way to say no and can't return anything so I will stick with Ace South. I'm so glad at least I have them to go to.

When we were looking around, a lady tried to come into the store with a motorized scooter. The woman got maybe 2 feet into the door when the owner starting telling the woman there was no room for her in the store and kept telling her to not break anything. She repeatedly said "my store is not made for people with scooters". We should of left then because it only got worse. Then, when my mom and I were looking at anklets, I was trying them on my moms ankle to see if they would fit. The owner asked us if we were looking for something as is we were trying to steal it in the most condescending manner. We moved on to another part of the store brushing it off. Then the owner walked past us and bent down right in front of us and looked directly at my moms ankle to see if she was wearing an anklet. The audacity! Then when we were checking out, we had two items a sign and an anklet, the owner stated "oh this anklet should work for bigger ankles like yours" to my mother. She lost definitely lost our business. We used to visit this shop every year as it is unique. We will NEVER be back! I have never been so shell shocked and appalled by ones behavior. As someone who works in customer service myself, you always want to be accommodating to a customer. Even if she had the only shop in Depoe bay, I still would not shop here. I'm truly embarrassed for anyone who knows her.

The owner was absolutely fabulous and even assisted me in mailing an item home for a surprise birthday gift. Highly highly recommend visiting on your trip up the Oregon coast.
