THEY DESERVE 5 STARS AND MORE! I was so swollen, in pain, and vulnerable after my surgery when I cam here looking for post-op lymphatic massages, but I was welcomed with open arms. This is a place for healing, where they take time to learn your body. You're never pushed into painful unnecessary massage techniques too early. Every massage was so thoughtfully done and catered to my current state, I can recommend their massage specialists enough! When looking for post-op after care you want it to feel like home, and this is exactly what Magic Post op was for me! Did I also mention their healing herbal tea is amazing? The recommendations for the supplies I would need such as rajas, foams and boards were spot on. The ones I originally got were not the best but based of their recommendations I as able to get the exact level of compression I needed. They also referred me to alteration specialists to adjust my faja as my size changed during the recovery. The attention to detail, the quality of the oils and just the overall atmosphere was such a healing experience. I think this might be the best post-op care in NYC and I'm grateful for everybody on their expert wellness team who worked with me. read more

Best place for your post-op manual lymphatic drainages! These licensed professionals give you step-by-step instructions on what to do and how to care for yourself day-to-day at home as well, because post-op care is underrated. They perform MLD safely and professionally without the need to reopen my incisions (thank God!) I was worried that the fluid would get backed up in me, but the treatment was so effective that i began purging through my bowel and urine right away as soon as i got home just as my doctor advised me that i would after my MLD sessions. I am very excited to continue with my treatment here at Magic Post Op NYC, the expertise & kindness of the experienced staff is unmatched. Thank you ladies for all your help! Mimi walked me through the entire post op process and was there for me every step of the way during my healing journey. She answered all my questions and made recommendations as to what supplies to get, supplements to take, etc. Her massages were amazing and I felt better with each session. There's also a magic machine she used on me which totally smoothed out all lumps and bumps. Another plus are the delicious complimentary pineapple tea and snacks here! Theresa who does the scheduling is also amazing and has the best energy. I highly recommend coming here for all your post-op needs. read more

**Cross-posting from Google** One of the most wonderful, professional and welcoming businesses I've ever been to. From the moment I stepped into the Magic Post Op Queendom, I felt so relaxed and "at home." The ambiance, the music, the details - you can just feel how much love, consideration and thought has been poured and is still being poured into this place. And that's what you really want for your post-op experience when you're hurting and most vulnerable. Mimi is the heart of the business. The sweetest and most nurturing person you'll meet, she definitely knows what she's doing and will educate you on post-op care and give you some useful tips to expedite your healing journey. Theresa is the welcoming bubbly admin who is always kind to offer you home-brewed pineapple tea or mushroom coffee (or both) and delicious fresh healthy snacks. It honestly feels so cozy being there that you almost don't want to leave when the sessions are over. I have done 20+ lymphatic drainage sessions at Magic Post Op which helped me tremendously in my healing process. This business does have a no-show or same day cancellation policy like any place should. Life happens and they are always kind and accommodating, but if you're an entitled brat who has a habit of missing appointments, ghosting the business and then feels like the whole world owes you, this is not a place for you. People like that just need to look within and grow up. Be nice and courteous, keep your appointments or if you absolutely have to reschedule, be respectful and do so in a timely manner, and you will have the most wonderful experience here! The girls are amazing and hard working and I wish that Magic Sanctuary grows into something even bigger and better, because they truly deserve it! read more

Hands down I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place. It is a GEM . Parking is a bit of a pain to find so come early enough to give yourself time. The lady is a doll and is super sweet. Upon arrival, she had us (me and my partner) use the restroom to wash our hands then had us sit on her couch. She offered us some refreshments and tea. I went first while my boyfriend relaxed on the hammock. I have to say this message was the best I think I've ever had. As far as her service goes if I can give her higher than a 5 I would. She did not miss a spot on my damn body. I was hearing alot of crunchy noises when she got to my back but she was real patient, gentle and took her time throughout my entire session and caught myself drooling while awake lol. My boyfriend actually fell asleep. I would love to make this a monthly thing for me and my bf with her tbh. read more

Mimi is truly knowledgeable about post op Lympathic drainage. I am so thankful to have found this place. I had post op massages and care by 2 other people in Miami and on no level do they compare to the expertise and care that Mimi puts into your recovery journey. The results were amazing. She knows exactly what treatment is needed at every step of your recovery journey . She answered the million and one questions I had and gave me so much advice throughout my recovery. I also appreciate how accommodating they were with my crazy work schedule they were also very understanding when I missed my appointment one morning and offered me the courtesy of a one time waiver. It's sad and unfair to see reviews trying to tear down this small woman owned business for enforcing her policies. They require a $100 deposit to hold your appointment which is applied towards your package or any service of your choice, I did a total of more than 20 sessions . They were very considerate in helping me to figure out how to budget for my sessions to get the consistency of care I needed, heal faster and at my financial pace. So long as you show up for your appointments follow the routine guidelines as you are instructed you will have an amazing experience and great results. If I could give Magic Post Op NYC more than a 5 stars review I would because they are extremely excellent and deserve it for their professionalism and expertise and furthermore their kindness read more

never leave reviews unless it's that bad or that good. Well, unfortunately this is a horrible experience and I hope no one else has to go through it. I got a package of 10 lymphatic massages ($1350). I'm used to getting lymphatic massages and wanted to try a place closer to home. Website lists specific services offered at each session... never was consistent or the same with treatment, tried to blame the surgeon for not telling me something about lymphatic massages when in fact it was wrong. Used the cavitation machine only twice which is specifically why I wanted to come here in the first place.. then got the excuse that it causes arthritis (this is what I was told by Mimi). I did receive cupping and a wooden tool that was all. For the price, not worth it. When asked about the initial 125$ deposit and what it would be used towards I never received an answer and the last session was cancelled. There was always an excuse and Theresa the account manager was beyond disrespectful and unprofessional. Waste of money and time. Take your services elsewhere ladies. read more

Service is very subpar for a post op center. The owner definitely gives off a strong vibe of please don't bleed or touch anything if you're draining fluids. My massages were cut short by her talking, answering phones, entertaining guest and answering the door. She will also video you in your most vulnerable time of discomfort without consent. I honestly wanted to give it a chance but I would not recommend or waste money on post op massages at magic post op! Do yourself a favor and don't be fooled by the certifications... there are way better post op places out there. read more

The best massage I've ever received. I've been to 5 star resorts here and abroad, and while they're wonderful, this is something truly different. I honestly have been struggling with words to explain the experience...and it was an experience. You are offered tea and fresh fruit and nuts. There are plants and nature sounds and you forget you are in Brooklyn. There are hot stones. Beautiful smelling oils. The pressure is perfect, strong but not painful. Typically when I walk out of a massage, my body feels good but my brain is still busy, especially stepping back onto an NYC street. This massage helped my body, my mind and my spirit. I felt at peace, I felt happy, I leisurely walked home taking photos of flowers along the way. Murielle exudes the most beautiful, bright light energy. You can tell that this is not just a job for her, she loves what she does. I still don't think my words are capturing the experience but this is the best I could do. I plan to make this a regular visit in my self care journey. xoxo read more

Honestly there are not enough stars for me to rate Muriel. Today I was in a crisis 6 days post op and this woman selflessly graciously told me to come. Long story short when I arrived it was a therapuetic oasis from the lighting to her services. She massaged me n gave me ultrasound information and put me back into my faha. When it was over ya'll she poured me a glass of warm pineapple tea and sent me things to put me on the road to recovery. Muriel you are the best n I truly appreciate what you did for me tonight. read more

The beginning of this week, my body was telling me that it need a serious massage, which was long over due since the last one I had was on a Carnival Cruise Line in December.. Since January I been going to the gym after work, I guess having a physical job and working out was taxing my body... Since I never had a massage session in NYC. I know my own hometown. I did like everyone else and search the internet for a Massage Professional in NYC. I went to Yelp for Help... I came across many locations.. The Magic Journey Spa Retreat had 5 stars, from every reviewer, compare to other Spa locations that Yelp recommended. This past Thursday evening, I had my first massage in NYC, at the Magic Journey Spa in Brooklyn, with Murielle. It was easy to locate in walking distance from the train station.. Once I got to the Suite, and Murielle open the door, I was transported to a Tranquil safe space in Brooklyn. Once I stepped in the room I was welcome to a lovely scented Oasis, not overpowering, it was just right for the senses.. After taking off my coat and a brief chat with Murielle.. I was ready for the massage session. She made me feel very comfortable, once the massage session began Murielle worked her Magic I can feel all the tension being expelled out of my body. She is petite in stature, but don't let that fool you, she has mighty hands and fingers. I can say from all other massages I ever had this one was on a whole different level, the other massages seem generic now. Murielle had a her own unique way with connecting with my body. Once the 90 minutes was over, my body was in Hypnotic relaxation state it lasted that way Until this morning (Saturday). After the session she offered me water and tea with some cashews and figs.. This Session is what I needed, when your body speaks to you, its your responsibility to give it a tune-up once in awhile.. I'm very grateful that I did take a chance from the other reviewer's from Yelp.. Without a Doubt Everyone should give this young lady a chance to be your masseuse, you will not regret it.. read more

I love Murielle! It was my anniversary yesterday, and I was looking for the perfect place to get couples massages. After searching for over a week and checking Yelp exhaustively, I read the amazing 5-Star reviews here and decided to book. I'm SO HAPPY I did. The massage was top notch. I went first while my partner napped in the cozy hammock, surrounded by beautiful, lush greenery. When it was his turn, I got to take my own fantastic nap. Not only is Murielle an excellent masseuse, she's a beautiful person, and her bright energy permeates throughout the space, and the serenity of the space increased the feeling of relaxation and tranquility. She embraced us warmly when she learned it was our anniversary and thanked us for sharing the day with her. I/we will definitely be returning regularly! read more

I'm visiting a friend here in Brooklyn for a few days but before I left I had an injury to my neck that's been bothering me for 3 weeks now. Stiffness and discomfort every morning when I wake up! Since today is my last day here and I wanted to enjoy my time I searched for a good massage therapist closest to me.....and I found Mimi!! Don't let her size fool you, Mimi is strong!!! I told her where the problem area was and she went straight to work! The heated stones added a great touch to my pain. An hour of painful bliss! She definitely paid attention to the problem areas, making sure to stretch and apply enough pressure to work out the pain. She also gave me a few pointers to help relive the pain later on. If I'm ever in Brooklyn again she will be my go to person!! I feel so much better! Thanks again Mimi! read more

From my very first interaction with Magic Journey Sanctuary, I felt a sense of calm and confidence. I knew I was making the right decision. The owner, Murielle, educated me on post op care, more so than my actual surgeon. Everything from what I should eat, supplements to take, to the benefits of lymphatic drainage and the types of garments/boards to wear, I felt incredibly informed and was confident in my decision to have abdominal liposuction because Magic Journey guided me on what to expect after the procedure. In fact, I was even offered a significantly discounted package from different place but decided to go with Magic Journey because of how knowledgeable and friendly Murielle is. I 100% recommend Magic Journey Sanctuary for any post op needs. read more

Magic, pure unadulterated magic. Murielle greets with a warm presence, speaks with joy that radiates, then transforms to her language of energy, with seemingly effortless intuition she finds points that are tense and tender, working with them to relax, with a finely tuned pressure. Its hard to not want to fall asleep as you're lulled into a space of utter relaxation, a zoned out state of pre dreams. A pleasant surprise of hot stones, and a warm towel often greet you to compliment the now relaxed state of being. I've had two treatments now and each time I've left in such a space of warmth, happiness and bliss. She'll tell you the healing is all done by yourself, she's just there to poke and prod a few points. I cannot recommend her highly enough. read more

I have been a client for 2 1/2 years and I can honestly say that I've never gotten up from that table without feeling totally rejuvenated. From the awesome low light atmosphere & view to the great food and relaxing tones, Murielle is a superb host. I have cervical and lumbar injuries.
