David Wolfe of Wolfe Plumbing and Heating is a rare 'find'. He's knowledgable, prompt,…read moreprofessional, and his work is exemplary. He accommodated us very quickly to temporarily address a leak, and has since performed several renovation projects. His communication and follow-through are refreshing, in a time where customer-centricity has all but vanished. I'd give him six stars, but it seems that five is the limit!

Very dissatisfied! He was at my house for approximately 40minutes and charged an absurd price!!…read moreMany many issues here !! Make sure to have him explain EVERYTHING about his pricing 'flat rate for the job' or else you will be accused of not asking questions (whether you did or not). Make sure to have him discuss with you anything questionable before he makes his 'executive decision' and fixes something in a way that doesn't even make sense based upon the facts then charges you for HIS fix. Make sure to resolve any questions or concerns BEFORE paying the bill. If your husband calls him to discuss the price afterward, make sure to be on the call to dispell some of the mis-truths. When I attempted to address some questions/concerns, he admitted that he should have talked to me before making the executive decision and presented a possible fix but then didn't call me back as he said he would. I can accept that some of the issues happened because I didn't ask enough questions. He initially agreed that he should have asked first but later went back and wasn't willing to accept his piece when he spoke with my husband. Just not a good experience at all!

I am extremely happy with the completed remodel of my downstairs bathroom by Bonefide Builders,…read moreLLC. Owner and Contractor Ryan Boies. The bathroom was redesigned by Ryan based on my needs for a walk in shower and moving laundry from the basement to the first floor. This was a 1980's outdated bathroom. Ryan put a comprehensive price proposal together that included contingency expenses I would need to cover. This remodel took approximately 4 weeks. And no surprises related to cost based on the proposal. All the tile work, plumbing, electrical, sheetrock and finish work was completed by highly skilled professionals. All showed up when they said they were coming and were very respectful of my time and living space. The work area was always clean at the end of the day. I am recommending Bonefide Builders, LLC/Ryan to friends and family. It was a job well done!

Where do we begin! I do not think we could say enough good things about Ryan and his crew. We…read morerecently had them do a full kitchen remodel and it could not have gone any better. Their work ethics, professionalism, and attention to detail are unmatched. Everything was addressed and handled with amazing craftsmanship down to the tiniest of details. The crew he had working here (David and Isaiah) were some of the nicest guys we have ever met and were extremely professional. Honestly, my wife kept checking on them because they were so quite while working in the house. They were very informative and made sure to keep us in the loop as to what was going on at the completion of each day. Another great thing about Ryan's team is that it does not just stop with his employees. Each subcontractor he had selected (Electrician, Plumber, and Drywaller) were just as professional and excellent at what they do. You can tell Ryan takes pride in his work, his team, and his sub-contractors. If you are looking for a remodel, you do not need to look any further. You find the right company!

REVIEW OF HOUSE FRAMING WORK PERFORMED BY MIKE CAMPBELL'S CUSTOM CARPENTRY, LLC…read more I am the owner of 44 Fisher Pond Road, Woolwich, Maine (Lot #7). I have first-hand knowledge of the abilities of Mike Campbell and his crew, as I was on site for 15 days straight with him during the entire build-out of my 1,784sf Contemporary Cape Cod. Most testimonials provide a superficial overview. This testimonial is different. When you're hiring a framing contractor you need facts, and I'm here to provide them. Prior to June 5, 2024, I had never heard the name Mike Campbell. But by June 28, 2024, (just 23 days later), he and his seven-man crew had completed the exterior and interior framing of my home. I had originally hired a different framing contractor (NOT Mike Campbell), which I had lined up months in advance. However, the contractor was over-committed on multiple projects, and could not provide a start date. Behind the eight ball, and in a serious "jam", my hopes of having a weathertight shell by mid-summer were looking bleak. Desperate, I contacted my lumber supplier (Hancock Lumber in Brunswick, Maine), looking for guidance. I asked my account manager if he knew any good house framers in the mid-coast Maine area. He mentioned Mike Campbell. I immediately jumped on the phone and reached Mike. In an email, I sent Mike a copy of the house plans. From the plans, he was able to quote me a competitive build-out price, with me providing all materials, and Mike providing labor only. Reaching out to Mike Campbell proved to be the smartest move I could have made. I contacted Mike on June 5, 2024, and on June 10, 2024, just five days later, he was on-site at 7:15AM with a seven-man crew, ready to frame. I have been on dozens of construction sites, but I have NEVER encountered a more professional, highly skilled crew as the one Mike brought to my house site. On site with them for 15 days, the only communication I ever heard were dimensions being called out. No wasted words. No wasted time or effort. Highly efficient, friendly, and very skilled. Not only was Mike skilled, he was FAST. As I was supplying all materials for the job, I had trouble keeping up with Mike and his crew, struggling to get what lumber he needed, when he needed it. Dozens and dozens of trips to Hancock Lumber. Of special note is the fact that my house plans (stamped by a Maine licensed PE) were deficient in many ways. Mike's extensive house framing knowledge and technical skill was able to solve complex framing problems on-the-fly, correcting clear mistakes missed by the PE. Mike did everything he said he would do, when he said he would do it. And I mean EVERYTHING. If you're looking for the best-of-the-best, hire Mike Campbell. You won't be disappointed. Paul R.
