Dustin came out to do a site visit in early April. He was prompt and professional providing a quote for the 3 listed projects the next day. Dustin clearly communicates, keeping me informed of the DEP permitting process and start date of projects. In 4 days time a beautiful new paver walkway was placed with 16 granite steps. 80 feet of shoreline rip rap placed, and 2000sq ft of sod. Dustin and his team absolutely crushed these projects and delivered the beauty aesthetically this lake home needed. His pricing is fair and competitive with other quotes I received. Jack said his hourly rate was only $100, but then he brought a "helper" with him @ $50 hour extra. They secured one wire to a porch light, but in 3 hours didn't have time to work on the other porch light or to replace 2 light fixtures, as they were repairing 5 outlets, of which 2 are obsolete, not in need, not on my list, not a safety issue. Jack charged me $500. I was unable to provide a photo of the poor workmanship on the 3 in one lightswitch/GFCI. Jack told me that he would come back when I had more money. I had told him up front "I am a low income senior." The only way to come up with another $440 was to not pay on my credit card. He said he got FREE light bulbs from Efficiency Maine, as do I. He used his and profited. He made me an appt. for 4 months later October 30 @ 7:30am. On that date he sent a text @ 7am rescheduling for afternoon which was inconvenient for me, but I had no choice as I was expecting 100 Trick-or-Treaters. He kept switching up the plan as to how he should go about working on the exterior porch light. Finally, we agreed on turning one of the obsolete outlets into a light switch. Why didn't he just do that 4 months earlier eliminating the fire danger? So, in fact, Jack charged to repair an obsolete outlet, then charged me again to undo that receptacle and turn it into a light switch. They finally got my 3 new light installed. So a total of $940. So little work was accomplished. My 3 in one lightswitch system looks unprofessional. One lightswitch is not flush with the cover, we are having a difficult time using the outlet, they didn't put in all 8 screws and the 4-piece outlet cover is old, dirty and severely cracked... I texted my concerns to Jack and he kept putting words in my mouth. He was dishonest. He kept bragging about his business. Poor planning on his part cost me double the money and unnecessary frustration. He kept telling me that he had bills too. It's been 4 months. I will start the process with the Maine Attorney General to mediate. ​
