My daughter's wedding was held at Magnolia Grace Ranch on June 11, and we had a wonderful experience! Some highlights: * I was initially apprehensive about the Texas weather, but the venue is well-equipped to accommodate all weather conditions. Thankfully, it didn't rain, but it was reassuring to know there was plenty of indoor space available. * The indoor venue is spacious enough to comfortably host 200+ guests, with room for a dance floor and even an indoor ceremony if it had rained on us. Round tables, chairs, decor and linens for FREE borrow included. * The outdoor ceremony area was lush, beautiful, shaded, and surprisingly breezy for a 5 PM June Texas wedding. My daughter called it a "Twilight movies vibe with chandeliers in the trees" haha * The bridal suite was large and secure, featuring a coded lock for privacy and amazing lighting for all the bridesmaids makeup vanities. The groom and groomsmen had their own separate space as well with private access to the fishing pond. * Parking was plentiful and convenient for guests. * Outside vendors were welcomed, allowing us to bring in our own caterer, DJ, and photo booth. The photo booth was a huge hit with guests of all ages! * The air conditioning was ice cold inside, which everyone appreciated during a Texas summer wedding!! * The venue was exceptionally clean, spacious, and organized. * One of the best surprises was the huge decor and linen closet available for couples to use at no additional charge. There were countless decor options available. * Having both indoor and outdoor bar areas was a fantastic feature for guests. * Pricing was very reasonable and affordable compared to many other venues. My only suggestion would be to add a few patio swings, benches, or outdoor seating areas for guests who may want a quiet break from the dancing and music inside. Overall, Magnolia Grace Ranch provided a beautiful setting for our daughter's special day, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue in North Texas! read more

Posting here since they keep removing my reviews on G maps Beware of this venue. I had not said anything because I frankly have not had the energy to. I have the energy now. Our experience wasn't absolutely horrible, but it definitely could've been better. Why you shouldn't book here: Lack of communication and not fulfilling contract obligations We booked MGR in Jan of 2023. Got married Oct 2023. Here's proof in case they try saying we weren't a client. We were promised, per the contract, I believe it was 200 lbs of ice. There was maybe 20. We had to ask the "on-site coordinator", which was really just a young adult and her boyfriend who not to mention were asleep when we went to ask, for more ice. We were not told upon signing the venue was being sold to new owners, which we wish we had known. We toured with Charmin Skipper, who like her name suggests, brought all the charm to this place. We were disappointed to find out she would not be the on site coordinator on our wedding day as previously discussed. The grooms suite was INFESTED with crickets. Of course for the time of year and location it is nearly impossible to keep them out completely, but it wasn't just 3-10. It was around 200 in the grooms suite, NO exaggeration. Did they not inspect the area prior to us entering??? The only other negative part of our experience was being extremely rushed to leave the building. I mean lights being turned off by the coordinators before we were even out the door. It felt like we were kicked out, left a sour taste on what's supposed to be a memorable night. Like I said, not horrible, but not great. What motivated me to write this review is because I randomly received this text from Karen, the owner yesterday. I constantly get posts on my Facebook feed regarding MGR because we're both in wedding groups, I simply haven't left the groups and they are looking for clients of course. Nothing wrong with that. In promotional posts they've made, or others posted by other people, I've made comments saying "we got married here, feel free to message me if you have any questions about our experience" or along the lines of this. Nothing negative just offering feedback about our experience! So to receive a threat from the owner to be pressed charges against over MY opinion that I'm ENTITLED to have because of course we paid to have our wedding here, is absurd. No wonder the recent reviews are so bad, and not surprised to hear they're up for sale AGAIN. You cannot silence people for having an opinion, Karen. I didn't even say anything bad, but again she couldn't bother responding when I asked what she was talking about. read more

This is only a fraction of my experience, but I fear a longer review would lose readers. If you have five seconds, I would recommend choosing another venue. If you have a few more minutes, here's why. I contracted with Magnolia Grace Ranch for an all-inclusive wedding package in 2024 and ultimately canceled due to ongoing issues with vendor coordination, payment delays, and lack of accountability. The owner frequently stated that she "plans weddings all the time" and emphasized that this was only my first wedding, implying she knew best. However, her actions did not reflect those assurances. Vendors were repeatedly described as "booked" despite having no contracts, no deposits, and in some cases no awareness of my wedding date. Several vendors experienced significant payment delays, including one who waited over 30 days and another nearly 3 months. One vendor even received a bounced check. When I asked for clarification on costs, the amounts I was told did not consistently align with vendor invoices or actual payments. For example, I was told a DJ had been paid one amount, while the check reflected a lower payment. When I raised concerns, I was told my wedding was "too far away" to be a priority. In one escalation meeting, when we raised some questions she even said I don't have my notebook on this and could not answer nor seemed to have remembered the things we had told her before. During this process, I also became aware of other brides who had challenges with this venue but chose not to speak up. In my personal experience and opinion, some seemed hesitant to speak publicly due to concerns about potential repercussions. It's why I'm writing this AFTER my wedding has passed. I was a simple wedding coordinator whom also had my business partner as the do/mc for a bride's wedding... Here is the thing, the venue owner and assistant were very unprofessional. We had no issues until we were told that as vendors, we would be paid accordingly and in the mail received a check THAT BOUNCED and made us look bad at the bank. When confronted, even the owner's assistant threw KAREN under the bus and said she has done this many many times while claiming she had no other forms of payment available. Following the BOUNCED CHECK, she all of a sudden was able to send payment through cash app which was all fine and dandy until we realized that KAREN the owner used my bride's funds/credit card to make the payment. This place makes me sick to my stomach and if you get married here.... hahaha DON'T EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT SIGNING THAT CONTRACT. read more

I was the wedding planner for the Sept 1st wedding at this venue and I DO NOT recommend this space... I created a reception floor plan with the room measurements they provided and we found out in the middle of the wedding that the floor plan was not accurate and the tables did not fit in the space how they were originally planned. I was extremely disappointed because this floor plan was sent over to the owner, Karen, over 2 weeks before the wedding. The groom's family ended up in the back of the room and caused unnecessary tension. Also- I did let the venue know of the multiple errors in the provided floor plan so future brides and planners do not have this issue, and as of today they still HAVE NOT been adjusted in AllSeated (Prismm- the software planners use to make floor plans). There are columns missing, the kitchen door is in the wrong spot, the entire fireplace is missing, as well as the storage closet. The floor plan template is a mess and incredibly inaccurate. The space is not what was promised. After reading several reviews and speaking with some of our vendors who had previously worked at this venue, we learned this wasn't the first time they had encountered significant issues. I did have a follow-up phone call with the owner prior to writing this review but she took no responsibility, shifted blame onto others, and showed no empathy regarding a very emotional situation. DO NOT USE FOR LARGER WEDDING We just had a wedding at this venue on 9/1 and it didn't go well. We had 235 people and it was EXTREMELY tight. The owner, Karen, promised us it could appropriately accommodate up to our expected total of 280, but even at 235 which is 5 banquet tables less) it was overcrowded. Chairs across tables were backing into each other, there was no room to walk through the area, and the "leftover" dance floor was very small. Equally important, there isn't a great entrance for the bride! My daughter and I had to wait in the kitchen because the groom, groomsman and bridesmaids enter from the back (through the women's restroom which leads directly to the bridal suite!). So to ensure the bride and groom didn't see each other, we had to wait in the kitchen and either enter the ceremony from the kitchen through an obvious service door or exit out back and walk around to the front of the venue to enter where the nice doors are. That issue exists no matter what size your wedding group. Additionally, the lines got VERY long for the food, the bathrooms, and the bar. This venue can not comfortably hold as many as they claim. They also provided us an incorrect floor plan template, so the prearranged table set ups did not work and the service vendor just assigned whatever table numbers they wanted. This resulted in the groom's family being sat at the back of the room. Not a good way to start a new family relationship to say the least! Also, the "flip" from ceremony to reception was a disaster. The venue reassured us they have done it many times and that it should take around 30 minutes. The flip took over an hour and random guests even had to help to get it done. The venue is NOT prepared for rain. The roof is EXTREMELY loud (we couldn't hear the speeches) and an announcement was made mid reception for people to go move their cars in the rain because the cars were sinking... There is no paved parking lot and the gravel lot is TINY. Once again- this venue is not made for as many people as they claim. After reading some reviews and speaking with some of our vendors who have worked there before, this isn't the first time this venue has had MAJOR issues. Book elsewhere. Finally, be aware that this place is just inside Fannin county, so your major liquor providers in Collin county can NOT deliver there. There is one small local liquor store option, so if you are not using their all -inclusive option, you'll have to lug all your drinks there yourself. Also the "commercial" fridge they have on site did not keep the beer cold and many guests complained of the hot beer. Again, maybe at smaller capacity the fridge can keep up, but I wouldn't trust it. Note- I wasn't going to write a review until our planner had a follow up phone call and the owner took 0 responsibility for anything, blamed anyone and everyone else, and had no empathy for a very emotional issue where they should know how important the details are to bride, groom and the dad who is paying for it all! read more

If I could I would leave zero stars. My husband and I booked Magnolia Grace Ranch April 2024 and had our wedding April 2025. When we booked everything was well maintained and cleaned etc, until about 6 months before our wedding we started to noticed that it wasn't being maintained, cleaned, less staff members etc. There was no time to change to a different venue nor getting our money back. On our wedding day we had to clean the indoor reception space, there were cockroaches and rodent droppings in the kitchen area, poison ivy was growing all over the ceremony site along with debris, the lawn had not been mowed, reception space floor plan was set up incorrectly, some lights were not working, hostess was rude to guest and hostess left property and locked us out before our time was up. We had to clean the indoor space reception space and outdoor ceremony site along with calling the owner multiple times about being locked out without an answer nor follow up. MGR/Karen breached the contract due to everything listed above. We tried to speak with the owner Karen, which took a month to even speak with. She wasn't taking accountability for her breaching the contract. Karen was only willing to compensate not even a quarter of the price we paid for the venue, and that took another month to even get the compensation due to her only wanting to give less than what was fair. We took the compensation because it was better than nothing. My husband I don't agree that we were compensated fairly, nor acknowledge of things that could have been avoided or prevented. This venue is not worth anyone's time nor money and is a hazard. We loved this venue when booking but hated it after what we went through on our wedding day. We did a lot of work in order to make our wedding day beautiful and enjoyable, despite all these horrific circumstances that Karen put us through. I am feel so disappointed, frustrated and upset due to what we had to deal with on our wedding day. Please do not book with MGR and void getting yourself into a horrific situation. read more

I enjoyed having my wedding at MGR. Sherry was responsive and accommodating to my requests to do my multiple visits to the venue to figure out decor and ask all my random questions. There are two outdoor sites to get married at.. I chose the canopy of trees for shading since my wedding was at the end of May and that Texas heat/sun is no joke. I made such a great choice & my guests were happy. Although hot, the shade of the trees overhead was very much appreciated. I love the open vendor policy here. That was one of my top things I wanted with my chosen wedding venue. MGR also provides the linens for the guest tables, so that was a nice plus rather than putting in the effort to rent them out yourself! Overall, I am very happy with my decision to have my wedding at MGR. You will get the most out of it if you put in the effort to communicate with Sherry. She is very kind and will help you with all your questions/concerns leading up to the big event! read more

To all brides looking to get married in the summer, I definitely don't recommend this venue. I got married here in July and it was cooler outside than it was in their building. That says a lot, being that we live in Texas. They blamed it on the heat coming in through the windows and insisted it would cool off when the sun went down. It did not! Most of my guests spent the majority of the reception outside and left early because the heat was unbearable. We even had to open the doors to get some circulation. I barely got any pictures with my guests due to this and those that I got pictures with were drenched in sweat. Needless to say, my wedding was MUCH LESS than perfect. I contacted them after the wedding giving extended amount of evidence to support my request for a partial refund and they gave me the run around for about 3 weeks and never tried to accommodate. Bottom line is: they should have had better cooling equipment for their building, or they should have given a partial refund. I hope for future summer brides this helps and they offer a MUCH cheaper rate going forward. read more

As a guest of a wedding at this event center, I was not impressed. There is no paving! Everything is rock, which is very difficult for anyone in hills. The outdoor venue is dirty! They do not clean anything up! At 10:00 you are ask to leave! The house DJ, plays the music she likes no matter what is requested. This is not a great venue. read more

Was at a winter wedding here and they have a lot of problems. The interior temperatures were so low that most guests were forced to keep heavy outdoor winter coats on during the reception and meal. Many complaints were made on this but no change was done. The sound system did not work well and it was evident that the venue employee there this day knew that the sound system "just doesn't work". This place may cost less than some others in the DFW area, but you are better off going somewhere else. This place really was a horrible location. read more

Magnolia Grace Ranch is truly THE place to get married. I had my wedding March 1st and couldn't have been more happy. The Magnolia team was great to work with and also really cared about helping me and my needs. These women truly care about others and it isn't just a wedding venue. I couldn't have been more happy with how my wedding day went. Leading up to the wedding Sherry and Karen helped me with everything I needed and made it so much more smooth for me. (Because every bride needs to have some extra peace for there wedding day) the venue was also perfect. I love the design, is was super clean, it felt comfortable, I didn't have a single issue, and it was just an amazing day! Sherry helped me so much leading up to the wedding day and it's honestly so nice to have somebody that actually cares and wants to help.
