We stayed for an anniversary weekend in July and booked this current stay before we left, we enjoyed it so much! They foster a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Attending their "Wine-Thirty" at 5:30 each evening is a great opportunity to have wine and wonderful hors d'oeuvres and enjoy the company of the hosts and other guests. Each morning they serve a very satisfying breakfast which usually tends towards the lightly sweet and wonderfully savory side, with compliments of fresh fruit and fresh items from Marlon's herb and vegetable garden. While the…read moreproperty is historical and the interior is elegant, the new owner doesn't have the experience to run the place properly.  As two young professionals from Atlanta, we decided to take time off and relax in North Georgia. We splurged for the exec suite ($350/night) so we could enjoy the room amenities like fireplaces and bathtub. We were expecting a quaint and low-key B&B experience. However, after numerous mishaps, we would definitely recommend anyone considering this place to look elsewhere.  Punch list of only a few issues: Amenities misrepresented Both fireplaces in room not functional (for years now- yet still advertised on websites) Bathtub had pink mold and hair (not from a head) Sheets not clean and smelled strongly of must Service  Owner and majority of kitchen staff didn't wear masks (during COVID spike) Rushed us out of breakfast so owner could go to Costco (we showed up during the 15 minute breakfast window given) Restaurant staff was unprofessional and/or not knowledgeable of menu items like wine list  It felt like we were an inconvenience to the owner and staff to be there (and we were the only couple there for one of the nights) After our first night, we mentioned the condition of the room to the owner and he contacted someone to clean. When we returned to the room it was much cleaner, thankfully. But it made me wonder if it was even cleaned before, as we noticed the carpet had been vacuumed that day but not before our arrival.  Anyway, the place has potential to be great and hope they can work out the kinks, but until then, there are nice spots for less.

It was also very reasonably priced & cheaper than any other RV parks in the area. The folks that own this rv park are super sweet & I hated that we had to leave when we did. If we're ever in the area again, this will be the 1st place I'll call.

THis property has a 50 year "LAND LEASE" Attached to it, with a renewal that starts at over…read more$500/month and goes up 3% a year with no CAP... SO, you buy a 'house on a lake,' for under $200,000.00 but an additional $350,000 is needed for the 50 year land lease (MORE WITH INCREASES). NO Offense to the developers, but it's INSANE TO Try and sell these units once you buy it, as the LAND LEASE goes up with resales. NOW, who wants to pay that kind of committment for 50 years, then it's renewed after that for 50 more in the $1,000's a month range, for the LAND LEASE. THIS IS BESIDES The cost of the house. I bought in when the land lease was under $300 and sold when it hit over $500, realizing the committment I HAD SIGNED On the purchase agreement. IT's like unto LEGAL FRAUD really, as they don't TELL YOU THE FULL AMOUNT of the contract, only the sale price of the house, and the 3% annual increase, ETERNAL. THAT SUCKS. I don't care for it, and the homes are nice, but not worth THAT KIND OF MONEY OR COMMITTMENT. THESE Philadephia developers need to be shown the way back home to Pa. Besides, they try to grind you for $20,000 on furniture supposedly at 10% above cost, (YEAH RIGHT), but it's a CASH COW FOR THEM, and he even admitted it to me; that's when I decided to RUN AWAY, and get a lake house without a 50 year 3% annual increase committment on A LAND LEASE...A Terrible deal you should NOT BUY INTO.. The beds were very comfortable, the room was very clean and welcoming. We walked into the restaurant and bar when we arrived and it's a beautiful facility but we never got to eat or drink anything there during our stay due to it being closed for a private event on the day we would have been able to do so. The location is perfect, tucked away and peaceful but only 6 minutes to downtown Clayton. We enjoyed the spa, it's very nice and relaxing. We spent time in the indoor pool and hot tub prior to our massage appointments. The indoor pool could probably use some updating/maintenance but we still enjoyed our time. The massage therapists were amazing and very knowledgeable.
