We loved the change in scenery going from flat land, to rolling hills, mountains and beautiful trees. It was very easy to find the location and that's saying a lot as I'm TERRIBLE with directions! Upon exiting your car, you instantly feel peace as you hear the waterfalls cascading down rocks and breathe in fresh air. The parking is right next to the cabins which are easily accessible. Our family stayed Sunday - Saturday and we had plenty to do and still missed out on seeing some attractions. We have a large family of 7 and were easily entertained. Some days were spent at the Inn relaxing, floating in the creek with inner tubes, sunbathing on the rocks, or just sitting by the water sharing fun family stories. Many evenings were spent outside grilling, playing cards and outdoor games like corn hole and Jenga. It is relaxing not being in a very touristy area. There are a lot of fun outdoor activities (white water rafting, hiking, camping, lakes, mountain view's) in the immediate area and a short drive to more popular locations like Helen or the Smokies. The housing was perfect, beds were comfortable, the shower water pressure was AMAZING, and rooms were very cool despite coming in the heat of summer. Most our time was spent outdoors enjoying the beauty of the property. At night, everything is lit up with ambient lighting, even the waterfalls! No mosquitos were to be found which was a pleasant surprise. All in all this is a MUST see if you are looking for a great place to stay that's peaceful, beautiful, close to town yet still in the hills. We can't wait to go back!

Other than this, the room was fine. Lastly, the restaurant. The food was decent. The salad bar was fresh and the trout was a tad salty. The lobster mac-n-cheese was pretty good. The views were wonderful, given it's in the mountains. All and all, my stay was fine, nothing to make me return, but I always say, make your own decision.

Right from the start we were greeted by Rosa who immediately made us feel right at home with her warmth and humor. Chef Andrew is an incredible talent. Everything was just extraordinarily delicious! We started with a very yummy chili with cornbread followed by the best pork belly we have had with a yummy almond butter sauce (lord!!) and then finished it off with perfectly cooked flatiron steaks with yummy cowboy butter! Oh and Chef even brought us some crispy cilantro rice that was also just a masterpiece of flavors. I don't know how many times I stopped during our meal to exclaim "this is SO GOOD" ....but it was many. That was the food- the people and service were as if not more impressive. Taz, the innkeeper who served us was incredibly kind and friendly and even brought us a complimentary champagne toast, which was so nice and appreciated! Again Rosa was hilarious and so sweet to us and then we met Shannon who brought us our desserts at the end of our meal and also made us feel like old friends. Magnificent views and so peaceful, yet so many things you can do - especially nothing at all! Exploring was so much fun! They have an age limit of 13 years so keep that in mind if you have kiddos but what an escape and needed respite for us. They make fresh baked cookies in the morning - so delicious. Service overall was impeccable and we felt well cared for. Even better than warming up by the gorgeous fire and having our cocktails hand delivered was the food. The Chef most definitely has talent and the quail was perfection - also such creative presentation of his dishes! Who knew 5-star quality dining was waiting for us in such a perfectly remote location. It is so gorgeous up here as the weather turns cooler but we will definitely have to come back in the summer to take advantage of the water activities. Ours had a desk, small sitting table with chairs, a microwave and typical hotel size refrigerator. The staff was very polite and professional. We didn't have any issues during our stay so can't speak to how they deal with problems. They did offer a "continental breakfast" per se, but it was underwhelming. The fresh coffee was very good and always available. Just moments from downtown Highlands and minutes from the Cullasaja River, Bridal Falls, and other photo-worthy spots, at a very reasonable price point make this a great place to stay when you head this way!

The lake nearby is Lake Glenviille which is incredible. They had a champayne cruise on the the lake and the next day evening drinks. They also served a full breakfast daily in the room. Clare and Henry gave us a map of hiking trails. They recommended Rainbow Falls and Whitewater Falls. Great hikes and even better scenery. This facility is well worth the 4 stars. Their service is just as good as any 5 star resort. It is romantic and well worth the trip.

So the inn is a gorgeous property and the fall air made everything so crisp and beautiful. Claire and Henry welcomed us so warmly and made everything special. They were so kind to upgrade us to the Emily Bronte Suite that we loved! The room was warm and cozy, I loved the bathroom!! Lol. My husband really enjoyed that they brought breakfast to our room. He had never stayed in a place that did that for guests. It was always delicious and got us ready for a day of exploration. We went to the hospitality hour almost every day. Claire and my husband talked about craft beers and she was such a sweetheart to remember what kind of beers he enjoyed and had them at the next days hospitality hour. We took all of Claire and Henry's recommendations on things to do and good places to eat. Which included; the Champagne Cruise (lots of fun, Claire brought those delicious crackers she makes) different waterfalls to go see, and going to see the Biltmore in Asheville. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

We arrived to find no one in the office so I called the number of their door. Even though the owner was traveling out of state he was kind and took the time to walk us through his options then granted us access to his Blueridge cottage. We were in awe of the meticulous care, that had gone into restoring the cottages to their pristine condition. The entire experience was very quaint and very comfortable. Clayton Georgia's downtown area is within walking distance and driving distance of all the major restaurants. After a few hard days of hiking, during the evening, we sat on the cottage's patio with a couple of adult beverages, and enjoyed the view until it was bedtime.
