Contacted this company initially to get some boat repair work handled. They replaced my bilge pump…read morewith a device that "they" recommended. The pump was designed to turn on every 15 minutes to sense if any water was present, I asked if this would not cause battery issues - the marina had no power at the docs during this time. Was advised not a problem. Well, the pump didn't work, and was advised they would send someone out, asked I be advised what they found. Got a call the pump was exchanged for one that has a sensor that notices water in the bilge and turns on. Why wasn't this used at the start, thanks for your recommendation? Asked if they could check my bilge heater to make sure it was good to go before replacing it with the new one I had purchased just in case. I was advised the mechanic would call me when at the boat, I also was asked for my credit card information. No calls just a bill!! Why did I use them the second time, felt I would allow them to make things right, by the way, the "new" pump is not working, will not call these people for anything at all.

My shoe fell in the water while struggling to get the boat in the spot. Gavin instantly dove into the water to retrieve my shoe and emerged from the water with grace. After, Gavin urgently sprinted over and pulled our boat into the spot for us. Gavin formally introduced himself and made sure to give each and every one of us a firm handshake. He proceeded to sing my friend happy birthday and was so knowledgeable about the marina. He pumped our gas for us and provided great customer service throughout our time at the marina. He was very helpful and gave us directions to the rope swing. We would not have found it without his help. Would definitely come back to the marina to see Gavin. He made me feel so at home after feeling so home sick. Gavin made me want to make Lake Martin my home. We love Gavin and all Harbor Point Marina has to offer! My complaint now is about Dion, the general manager. We bought a new boat from another company and they agreed to store. I went in and signed contract. THEN Dion gets involved and basically makes up reasons he cannot store the boat- long story short- his reasons were not valid. We confirmed and even had boat evaluated by Godfrey dealer. It appeared that since we did not buy from him he would not store- regardless of definitive proof -even having Godfrey dealer on lake confirm safety of storing boat without special equipment and even after we signed contract. Dion said he spoke to Godfrey dealer, but we also spoke to Godfrey dealer and took the boat for evaluation to confirm safety.I am a person who believes in honesty and integrity, I am afraid Dion believes only in money. Someone is telling less than the truth and I assure you it isn't me.I am sure Singleton marina would not condone his behavior and treatment of a long time loyal customer.

Powerhead was built not for sure if it is done right because now I'm having to take it somewhere else to have the work completed. I drove 4 hours from my home to get it and the boat wasn't ready, the list of deficiencies weren't completed and there were beer cans in my boat. After discussing with the owner (Wayne) he became irate, threatening, and very disrespectful despite him having the original list that said everything that needed to be done. I have been in the military for 24+ years and have never been treated this rude! This business is a disgrace and should be avoided at all costs! There are several other businesses in the local area that have much better ratings! Learn from our mistakes and avoid this business!!
