Nashville has not been inundated with Walgreens, CVS, ABC Stores, and chain stores. When it comes…read moreto buying your souvenir, both Nashville Gifts and Legends Gift Shop are the go-to places for your Nashville souvenir. Tucked between the Broadway Honky-tonks, Nashville Gifts may not be honky-tonking the greatest price, however, their selection is impressive. For example, their t-shirts were over $20 and Nashville caps cost around $30. But to be honest, I saw that the only Downtown Walgreens charged similar prices for Nashville caps. As far as selection, I am a fan. They provide a grand array of gifts from t-shirts to place mats. As for me, I am a magnet collector, and purchased a Nashville magnet to add to my refrigerator collection. In hindsight I would've purchased a Nashville book mark. Just like a popular honky-tonk, Nashville Gifts was extraordinarily busy in similar style to Legends Gifts across the street. I am not a fan of crowds. On our last full day in Nashville when my Dad and Brother returned to pick up more souvenirs, I waited outside on Broadway taking in the horse drawn carriages with the AT&T Tower towering above the historic streetscape. Due to solid management, the long lines moved fast with good customer service that included the clerk wrapping up my magnet. That magnet with my pictures and yelps are my reminders of visiting Music City USA.

There's a huge variety souvenir items like magnets, stickers, cups, mugs, frames, bags, cowboy hats, caps, shot glasses, books, bags and so much more. The prices of the items are reasonable. We compared the prices to other stores, it was similar and in some cases cheaper. The aisles are slim, so it's shoulder to shoulder walking when crowded. The staff members mostly stay around register to help customers with checkout. We stopped by this store multiple times, bought stuff like a book, magnet and picture frame from here. We went during weekend peak hours, so had to wait about 10 minutes to checkout.

I haven't been through the entire mall. Truth be told, I've only visited two stores and that's only…read morebecause we were a bit too early to our 4DX movie and were just bumming around. I will say that the mall was clean, well lit, and there's a ton to do here for the whole family. It's not just your typical mall, this is almost like an entertainment resort. Because Opry Mills is full of entertainment and is touristy, this place can get very busy on weekends or when there's a show at the Grand Ole Opry, so it's best to visit during the week. Sure, there is plenty of parking, but again, if you're going when it's busy, good luck finding a spot. I'd like to come back another time and truly explore this mall, but I really only am here for the 4DX theater.

Opry Mills combines shopping, dining, entertainment, and activities for the whole family. I LOVE that this mall is indoors. I feel like outdoor malls are the trend in the South, and I hate how on a rainy or cold day (yes, it gets cold), you have to brave the elements to go from store to store. Not here. Some of the stores here are outlets, and some are regular mall stores. I saw plenty of sales, and the selection in the stores was generally good. I shopped at the LOFT outlet and found a larger selection than other LOFT outlets I've been in. The Kate Spade outlet also had a good selection, although I didn't buy anything there (I love their products). The food court is excellent with both chain options as well as some spots that seem to be more local to Nashville. I opted for Panda Express, and it was just like every other Panda Express, but sometimes that's what you want in a food order meal. I wish my hometown had a mall like Opry Mills- all of ours are outdoor or have a lot of vacancies. If you're visiting Nashville or staying at the Opryland Hotel, definitely come to the mall for a fun afternoon.
