He's an amazing Dr with great knowledge. I trust him and appreciate him being as direct and compassionate as he is.

I went to the urgent care with covid symptoms hoping to receive some help and possibly medication. The first nurse I saw legitimately ran out of the room calling for help saying "ew" and that she really has the "ick" about covid. It sounds made up and I really wish it was, but it was real and I felt so dehumanized in that moment as I was simply a patient looking for help. Don't people go into the nursing profession to help others? I wish I knew her name because it was the most horrible experience and nobody deserves to be treated like that. I understand being high risk and not wanting to get the virus, however we were both wearing masks, I warned all staff members upon entering, and she could have exited the room in a much more respectful way. You just don't treat people this way. Every doctor that entered my room after the incident with the first nurse just seemed apathetic and like they were doing whatever they could to rush me out of there. It's not my fault that I contracted the covid virus and now I feel so disgusting even though it is perfectly reasonable to go to the local urgent care to seek help/care for covid.

I'd give zero stars but there's no option. I started with Dr. Noftz at his practice on Klotz Road…read morein Bowling green Ohio only a few months ago and atleast twice had issues with the nurse Cindy the second issue was she mislabeled my urine specimen and sent it off to be tested as someone else's this was after I found someone else's specimen in the collection box that they had no idea how long it had been sitting there (there were signs it had been there quite some time) or who's it was except the name Laura was written on it. I brought the sample to their attention and the response was to quickly usher me out of the facility straight out of the restroom (my keys, phone and I.D were still in the exam room). Upon calling the next day wondering what my results were on the UTI the nurse Cindy had no idea what I was talking about I explained when I had been in there and she still couldn't answer so I spoke with Carrie the office manager who told me the quick test was negative but they can't figure out why Wood county hospital hadn't updated atleast that my specimen was received. About 10-15mins later I received a call from Cindy stating she'd made a mistake it was her fault and my urine specimen had been mislabeled under another patients name so I'd not be getting any results and I was to go to the hospital and give another specimen. I'd also had an X-ray done of my foot and ankle so I asked what the results were (all that Nancy the CNP told me was there are a lot of issues with your foot and you need to see our podiatrist but wouldn't elaborate or answer what the issues were and insisted I see their in office podiatrist and set the appointment up on my way out the door as she was ushering me out as she was introducing me to their in office podiatrist) so it was about a half hour to an hour later I got the call back from Cindy (after telling the office I didn't want Cindy calling me or dealing with my medical, which I have that right) saying the X-ray showed an old fracture and I needed to see their podiatrist as soon as possible, I stated I will find a podiatrist of my choosing outside of the facility but can (I went to ask a question about the X-ray findings) that's when Cindy cut me off and said ok have a nice day then hung up on me. I spoke with the office manager Carrie again whom told me I wasn't hung up on and she was sitting right there so she knows I wasn't hung up on, well of course from someone who is not hearing the other person on the line and can't hear that they are still talking when Cindy says ok have a nice day sure it's doesn't sound like she hung up. Long story short Carrie and Dr. Noftz have decided I have 30 days to find a doctor and I cannot come back to their facility. To sum it up this is just one example of how they treat a patient when they make a mistake they turn around and blame the patient and laugh at them. Yep awesome Dr. and medical staff just awesome. Oh and not to mention Dr. Noftz will leave your exam room and talk about you/your appointment with the next patient, and I knew exactly who he was talking about because I went to school with his brother and I've known his parents through EMS since I was very young. Also had the pleasure of hearing the nurses slapping a patient (who's name I'm pretty sure was Matt since I kept hearing the nurse or someone yell Matt! Matt! as they slapped him) who was having a stroke and unresponsive a couple of rooms away from mine after being left unattended in the exam room for who knows how long because it'd been 45 minutes past my appointment that I was kept waiting. So yea I guess I was just dumb to ignore the red flags because I needed a doctor badly at the time.

So, after making an appointment Monday for a follow up to an ER visit last week, I arrived at my…read moreappointment only to have the person at the reception desk tell me that Dr. Noftz's office no longer takes my insurance. They stopped taking it in March, but funny thing is they never told their patients. I also called last week, pre-ER visit, to make an appointment for the problem I was having and the scheduler told me there were no appointments for two weeks. This is all on top of the fact that I had this Dr. listed as the PCM for my children only to find out that when my 18 month old needed his immunizations that the Dr.'s office no longer kept them in stock and I would have to go to the Board of Health to get the necessary shots for my son. No one told me that prior to that appointment either. Three strikes and you're out Dr. Noftz. This is the most disorganized office I have ever been to - and my husband is in the military, so you know that is bad when a civilian practice is managed worse than an on base clinic.
