i would give zero stars if I could. They are a deceptive company. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! They sell 'double rolls' of single roll wallpaper and charge a premium for it. They do this by dividing the manufacturer dimensions in half and forcing their customers to buy in multiples of two. I ordered six rolls and received three. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! I ordered wallpaper from their website, and it states that they are priced as single rolls but you have to order in increments of 2. I received 1 roll of wallpaper yesterday, so I emailed the sales department to inquire. In return I received an extremely rude email back from Karen. Stating that 1 roll is really a double roll on a continuous sheet. Ok I get that but there is no need to write an email to someone like I'm in Kindergarten and I can't count in multiples of 2. Wouldn't waste my time on this place, there are so many other places out there whom I'm sure understand about customer service. I'll update about the quality of wallpaper once I try it out. "All Rolls are priced for Single Rolls. But they are packaged and shipped in Double Rolls. Please order in quantities of multiples of 2. Example 2,4,6,8,10,12,14 and so on. You ordered 2 single rolls, which is required, and you received 1 double roll. A double roll is 2 single rolls as 1 continuous roll." read more

I had read some negative reviews where this company would not honor a measly 5% discount and this is what I guess happened to me. I ordered $2,300 in fabric and of got emails stating the manufacturer is on backorder and they estimate 2-3 weeks. They were very quick to say they would cancel the order. I emailed back and said I could possibly wait and they stated again that the manufacture's estimate was a guess. Really weird it's like they didn't want the business but then I read the reviews about the discount issues and found out why. I used the 5% discount. I'll bet if I didn't there wouldn't have been this BS! Anyway I corresponded with MIRANDA and she was a big ZERO in customer service. Other websites offered a $5 discount and free shipping, Mahone's was a 'true' 5% discount plus free shipping. Got my fabric in TWO DAYS! I'll definitely consider them again for my decorating needs. This place is nothing but a scam. They don't answer their phones, but they will send you condescending emails that their customer service problems are caused by you the customer. BEWARE: they do not actually stock items listed on their website. So even if something says "in stock" it might not actually be. We ordered 3 rolls of a paper but needed a 4th roll for our project. I followed their instructions and we returned, AT OUR OWN EXPENSE which we did not have a problem with. The problem started when we asked about the refund. The tracking information showed that it had been delivered, we waited a few days to contact them about the refund - no live phone service, only email which is so sketchy especially when you are buying things that are hundreds of dollars. They then hold up refunds until they get their money back from the third party companies that they drop ship orders from. And when you email them, they still try to delay processing your refund, but they are really quick at taking your money. So you are left stranded until they decide when it's convenient for them that you can get your money back. Do not shop with this sketchy company with abhorrent customer service. read more

Really big fan of this company and a great family run small business. Every time I've come in they've been extremely welcoming. The prices are fair and the company is very upfront about what it's charging you. Some people think ordering wallpaper and other design material is a straight forward process like ordering a new pair of shoes. These people are either not experienced or have unrealistic standards. I would recommend any fellow designer whether in the United States or Internationally to use Mahone & Sons. Two thumbs up! read more

I first have to say that I was leary of ordering wallpaper online. I did have the benefit of having samples and knowing what manufactuer and pattern I wanted to order. I contacted Mahones about a quote and was contacted in a timely manner. I had several questions about measurements, price, and shipping time. All of my questions were addressed. I ordered a high end wallpaper and was lucky to find out that the my pattern was being discontinued and that the price was a bargain! I am a Wallcovering Installer in Texas who shops for my customers to get them the best prices and usually end up here at Mahone and Sons. I am in a large city but all the wallpaper stores closed their doors here a few years ago when wallpaper went out of favor. Well it's back - and I am very happy I found them. They answer the phone right away and their customer service is fantastic. Most of the time the wallcoverings are quite a bit lower than everywhere else and shipped asap. Being an installer for over thirty years I wanted to mention the way wallpaper is sold has changed over the years and the people who complain about single roll vs double and why it is explained in depth is because many papers come in "Bolts", where a single roll could be twice as much as one used to be. Some wallcoverings can even be sold as a single sheet, by the 'drop' the yard, 27" wide or 54" wide (covering different amounts of wall space) ..it all depends on what you buy. I have a lot of trouble explaining this to my customers as well. Please do not get offended. From my own perspective, I am sure Mahone's meant no disrespect. read more

everything started out great with this company. I ordered on my phone, which apparently shows none of their "specials" or that you have a cut fee on odd quantities. I got an email from them that I would have to order another roll or pay a cut fee and they sent me a link with the cut fee, on that link I saw specials for "eligible for free shipping", "eligible for discount", and "free ground shipping". I called and said I would pay the cut fee but I wanted the discount and free shipping. they told me no and threatened me they would cancel my order if I kept asking about discounts. I then told them to proceed and got on their website on the computer. I pretended to order again and noticed that their was no icon for shipping anymore, that's fine, but there was a 5% discount code still. so I entered that in and it took 5% off my order. So I called back, told them I wanted the discount and they said no. never had a company straight up lie about their marketing promos and threaten to cancel my order on me. I cancelled my order and now am waiting on a refund read more

SO very disappointing!! Originally not honoring a 5% discount that they advertise for liking their Facebook page (I was told that the discount was already written into the price, though the price stayed the same before and after liking the page and adding discount code. When the first excuse didn't work, I was told that it's already so discounted that the owner refuses to discount any more; the sales girl had to call me back 3 times because her owner wouldn't honor what they advertise online... if you don't want to honor discounts, then don't advertise them!) When we tried to return the extra that we had ordered, it took two days and 3 msgs to get some to actually call me back. Then, we were told that there is 25% restocking fee, plus a $12 shipment (where are we shipping to, China?).. so our return would actually be about $9. Thaaaanks!!! Absolutely 0 stars!!!
