Tried this salon after having a bad experience with another salon in town. I was pleasantly surprised with Mahwah Nails. The salon is clean and the staff is very friendly. I've been going to this salon regularly since January and over the summer, I started bringing my two and half year old daughter who loves pedicures. The first time they charged me $5, the second time they charged me $8, and most recently, they tried to charge me $10. The price increases were all in the span of 6-8 weeks. The staff was also rude, unfriendly and eager to get us out of their chairs as quickly as possible. They told me that they didn't have time for my pedicure and asked me to return the following day. They then proceeded to seat other walk in customers for pedicures. I'm really disappointed in their service and will not be returning. read more

I came here to get my nails done for homecoming, and manicurist really went all out! I got a black color gel with gold sparkle gradient/hombre! She even put a little yellow gem on a few of my fingers. The overall effect was gorgeous and I received so many compliments! They know what theyre doing. read more

I came in wearing dark purple nail polish on my toes. A women named Suzie- unfriendly throughout- seemed to be careless in her work. Sloppily taking off my polish and whatever she didn't remove with polish remover, scrapped off with a nail file. From what I could see she did an okay job until I got home and looked closely at my toes only to find dark purple lines around the edges of some of my toes. For a $30 pedicure, I am highly disappointed, and WILL NOT be returning. read more

A few months ago the ownership changed again. Sadly, not for the better--not even the same. Out of habit I returned here a few more times. The owner is friendly but the atmosphere has changed completely! The neon signs and posters cheapen the clean & tranquil look the previous owner achieved. I have been rushed or received bad manicures that chip after ONE day. I don't think it's nearly as clean and have had to ask for a clean sheet of paper towel under my hands. The last straw was my recent visit when a customer arrived with two of her young children in tow. Now I understand it is not the owner's fault for someone else's poor decisions, nor can she control someone else's kids, but she should have said something. These kids were running through the salon and were not only a distraction but an annoyance. The mom had no respect for the fact that other customers don't want deal with her kids while she gets her nails done! I kept waiting for the owner to say something but she never did. There are so many nail places around, I'll find someplace else. read more

Mahwah nails is a fantastic place for a pedicure! They are kind with customers and with their staff. The facility and supplies are clean and hygienic. They are affordable. The service you receive for a regular pedicure is what most places consider an upsell spa pedicure. I recommend you call ahead because it is a small place but they do accept walk ins. read more

I've been going to this salon regularly since 2015 I have always liked the work they have done with my nails but, recently for the past two months, I have been getting stuck with the nail technician Suzie! She is the worst nail technician who works there. She clearly does not care about her work. She's very rude, filed my nail down till it was red and hurting, talks about you in Korean to her friends and laughs, and doesn't do the manicure the way you want it. I understand they want to give you advice but I'm paying for the manicure so, if I want another coat, then give me another coat of polish. Suzie is also extremely rough when filing your nails and nicks my fingers leaving them bleeding I asked why my nails looked like that and she said it was because of my natural nail. My nails did not look butchered when I got there. She gives a horrible message and just pats your back. I was so disappointed with my manicure and another employee Mimi could tell so she tried to make me give Suzie a 20% tip. I was going to be generous and still giver her a tip but NOT at 20%. I gave her the tip in cash and she threw it at me saying she didn't need singles. So, I said, "Fine I'll take it back." Then I was chased outside to my car by Mimi telling me this is America and I need to tip. I do not need to tip if I did not like the service I paid for. I will not be returning to Mahwah Nails they have just lost a loyal customer. My manicure was a waste of $40.00. read more

This salon is great, their techs are highly skilled and know exactly how to pamper and prepare their clients. Jessie does a fantastic job on her sets, I went from acrylic to uv gel and was impressed each time. Their equipment and materials are all top of the line, I love that they can take Apple Pay and Samsung pay, I can stop in and check out right after a morning run. Her staff are well trained and courteous and my sister and brother in law both loved their mani-pedicures. I can't say enough about how impressed I've been with their work so far. I have been going here for a few months. The salon is quaint and quiet with 4 booths for manicure and 4 for pedicure. With that being said, an appointment is a must! The owner is very attentive, customer service oriented, and wants to make sure you have a relaxing time and are not rushed. They do very detailed and good work! I have never had a problem getting an appointment and the salon honors them. There is additional parking in the back. read more

The woman who did my nails was very nice, however, that's not what i was there for. She did absolutely nothing to my cuticles or any maintenance of my nails, she simply buffed them out and painted them. I couldn't believe she was already done. Not only that, their regular manicure prices are $10.00. After being bribed to pay $5.00 extra and get a stupid Essie nail polish "gel", i finally agreed. Upon paying for everything they charged me $20.00, which if it was only $5.00, then it would be $15.00. I proceeded to ask them why they charged extra and a random woman chimed in and defended the price. I walked out disappointed, with neglected nails and a botched manicure. They have done an excellent job with new owners and new everything! They do a great job on nails and won't go anywhere else you can tell that they don't use products that you have never heard of like most salons... They use quality nail stuff! It's my favorite place in the area! read more

Definitely one of the worst salons I've been to and I'm not talking about the work they do. Customer service is key in owning a business but clearly not to this group. I was left waiting at the front of the store for almost an hour. Although I was very understanding that the time is busy but I just watched customers who had made appts walk in and get their nails done right away. I had been waiting for 20 minutes and the woman who walked in no less than 5 minutes before was seated. Also I see they have a strong relation with their older customers who are there more often but the owners were more delighted to come over and talk to them for 10 minutes while I'm sitting right there...waiting....still waiting. It just doesn't make any sense to me. I guess if you are a common goer then don't let me separate you from the special treatment but I will not be getting me nails done here. NEVER AGAIN.
