We came back twice in a matter of two days and stayed for two sessions on the Saturday. It's quite the happenin' place! I'd also like to add theres not just little bingo grannies waiting at the tables with their dabbers. There's a range of people here, it makes people watching fun. The actual place offers computer cards as well as the classic paper cards. The prizes are pretty good, usually $1000-$5000, depending on what you need to dab on your cards. They offer a limited menu, I tried but I'm not a fan at all. If your going to eat here, I'd stick to the chips and chocolate bars. Even then, the selection is mediocre. Sadly, we didn't win a dime but I still had a blast!

Poor ventilation doesn't even begin to explain it, because on the whole floor there were maybe 5 people actually smoking, and most of them were clustered in one corner. I'm a light smoker myself, but after an hour I was just about ready to cough my guts out. As for the slots: IMHO your odds of emptying a box of mice onto the floor and watching them die of seizures before they can scurry to safety are probably better than winning. High-volatility machines overpriced for their crappy payouts. Did far better playing the same games at Hamburg, and that is saying something. Two stars for the staff and their spray bottles, but you're spitting on the fires of hell. Don't want to think about what it's like on a busy night with bingo.

This represents a significant player advantage to other tables. But alas, it did not prove a winning combination for me. They have a wide variety of slots, but there was a penury of winners on the day I attended. The machines are tight. When you couple this with the fact that the OLG refuses to publicize what their slots machines pay out on the average, makes it a tough Casino. I wonder when the OLG will get on board and let the folks know what they are taking in. But all was not lost. I was comped a $ 40.00 meal, and Judy and I had a great dinner. In my case I had a full rack of ribs which was as good as any ribs I have had in Canada. That and that alone made this little excursion worthwhile. The ribs were served with a side of rice, and roasted parsnips and carrots, two of my favorite vegetables. I am still looking for a Vegas style Casino to be developed by OLG.

Drink attendants are few and far between and the wait for food and drinks tends to get ridiculous. The food, when you finally get it, is okay but I have had better. The worst part of the casino for me has to be how dirty it is. When you sit down at a machine you don't expect it to be sticky with a spilled drink or left over cups sitting on them, unfortunately this is a regular occurrence. The bathrooms are spacious and even have a fireplace outside of the entrance however they are just as dirty and should be cleaned a lot more than they are, it would also be nice if there were soap in there once in awhile. All in all its not somewhere that I go often, once every few months at most and that is only because of the lack of things to do in the city.

There is a minimum of a 2 row play, but it's pretty cheap entertainment! There are 6 or so games included in your card and a few extras you can purchase at $2 a pop. I'm not sure about pricing for other nights! Here are some important facts: - there is no alcohol - you can bring your own snacks! - the snacks available for purchase kind of suck - if it's your first time there, you get a free bingo dauber! - the bathrooms are kind of yuck - you will get cut eye from the regulars, but they are friendly!! The physical structure is very well designed. The hallways and rooms are magnificent. Heavy doors, cash safe in the room, adequate closet space, tastefully decorated with a Native American theme that pays homage to the elements of nature. The building materials used are such that you don't hear noise from adjacent rooms. There is plenty of parking and an inexpensive valet service if you don't care to look for your own space. The front desk staff are well trained and helpful and efficient. Their WiFi is fast with sufficient bandwidth that I was able to get some work done, sending and receiving large files without a problem. The rooms are nicely climate controlled, the shower is spacious with immediate hot water and the pressure is very good. The bed is comfortable, with good quality linens and blankets and firm mattresses. The housekeeping staff are thorough. The elevators move efficiently. They have tight security throughout the premises. All of the above is what they do right. I tried for two days to book a foot massage at the spa. No one answers that extension, so I'm not even sure if their spa has anyone assigned to answer the phones. The front desk - which also doesn't answer their phones so I had to physically go to the lobby - told me to just keep trying which I did without success. One of the reasons we booked at this hotel was because the website talks about their massages. Disappointing. There was no working electrical outlet next to the bed. The outlet that was part of the working lamp was dead. I had to pull my mattress away from the wall to find a working wall socket. There are electrical outlets over by the desk. The restaurants associated with this hotel are just fine. Three Sisters in the lobby has a very nice Buffet breakfast with excellent sausage. Everything else on that buffet is more than adequate. The wait staff do their best to keep your coffee cups filled and to bring you your check and even if things take a little longer than one would expect, we have no complaints about Three Sisters. The Western Door is a wonderful restaurant and we come here frequently and independently of the casino or the hotel for fine meals and properly mixed drinks. There are many little things that this beautiful hotel could do and should do to earn a fourth or fifth star, but perhaps their occupancy rate satisfies their balance sheet so they have no motivation to bring it to the next level.
