Main Party rentals were amazing UNTIL the day of. Prior to the event communication was phenomenal and they were very accommodating when it came to changes. Paid service was for a 0700 delivery and 2215 breakdown. Equipment included (big stuff) ONE 40x40 tent, 12 round tables, 20 rectangular tables, 10 cocktails stands and 250 feet of bistro lighting. On the day of, tent came about 30 mins late, ONE 40x40 tent (which was no biggy, I get it, it happens) scheduled delivery was for 0700. But if you're going to arrive late and can't set up at a reasonable time, then it becomes a problem. Tent was on site but tables and chairs were running late. We were getting the run around on that, we asked multiple times but we got the same answer "it'll be here in an hour". Tables didn't arrive on site until 5.5 hours after the PAID/agreed delivery time!!! Which in my opinion we should be reimbursed for. This is when it started getting frustrating, 1230 rolled around and the tents weren't even up yet, tables and chairs just arrived on site and it was a rush in getting everything set. My bridal party and I were scheduled to get ready at 1200. I shouldn't be stressing over tents that at this point had ample time! It was bad, in the end the groom and the groomsmen had to help decorate. Not all the decorations were used and there was no time to properly set everything as planned. It was a mess that could have been easily prevented. Everything was so last minute my wedding planner didn't have sufficient time to properly set up the wedding party table but she did what she could with the time she had. The workers of Main party rentals looked tired and were very, very sluggish. They had no sense of urgency. My wedding planner spoke to them but their excuse was they weren't given a timeframe of when it should be set up!!Are you for real!?! Thats unacceptable and a poor excuse for a reputable company. Equipment should NOT arrive 5.5 hours later than the PAID and agreed upon delivery time. It should NOT take 7 hours to set up ONE 40x40 tent. We kept getting the run around of when everything will be completed, it was not right. They were the thorn on our side and that made our wedding day way more stressful than it needed to be - it could have been easily prevented. They were not held accountable, it wasn't a good experience for me. Breakdown crew arrived 45 mins late and did not leave the venue until 0400. PS: If you're going to use them I would stress on a timeframe of when you want everything done. You'd think you shouldn't have to with professionals but sometimes you just have to. Chuppahs are not easy to find on this island, but they had one custom made for a couple they previously worked with. They gave me a price list up front and it was all a la carte pricing. Jimmy and his family was very kind to us. Their prices were affordable. They were flexible and were able to answer most of our requests. They didn't have string lights at first and we were going to find them elsewhere, but they said they have them now. He was the only vendor that advised us to set up a vendors' meeting at the venue (Kualoa Ranch) to check the layout and have a Q&A session with the venue manager to make everything clear. This was a great idea. Without this meeting, we wouldn't have grasped a good image of the layout/positioning and wouldn't have been able to answer questions such as whether we could fly a drone at the ranch (the answer was a no). Jimmy also did overall cleanup including the restrooms and the bridal suite. He did perfectly and we were not charged by Kualoa for any cleanup penalties. The only improvements that need to be made are: 1. They were supposed to provide rental vases but could not find them after organizing the warehouse. We had to go buy them at Goodwill. 2. Jimmy often forgot to reply. It is best to give him an email, a text and a call (sometimes he just forwards the email to his wife Mary and she doesn't reply). 3. My coordinator had to call him several times because he misunderstood the time he was supposed to come to the wedding, but to my relief, he and my coordinator was able to set up everything on time. read more

Main Parry Rentals saves the day for my son's wedding reception in July 2019! I found myself unexpectedly in charge of pulling off the reception less than 8 weeks before the big day. I didn't realize how much work was involved! Approximately 5 weeks out from the big day, I went to order the table linens and found them online. About a week after placing my order for the linens I realized that if I didn't hire some of help at the wedding reception I would be the hell! Not the way I wanted to spend this very special day. When I contacted Jimmy he got right on it and we were able to get two people lined up. They assisted with the food setup, replenishing food & drinks and the cleanup afterwards. So glad I bit the bullet and just paid for help!! The hired staff were very efficient and pleasant while being discrete. Jimmy and Mary were so easy to work with in dealing with a crazy and overwhelmed mother of the groom! They rolled with the changes and were able to make them work. I was searching for a vendor to help me with the lights, linens, napkins, tables and some other extra things for my reception at Moli'i Gardens and they were able to help out last minute and were a huge lifesaver. I had been working back and forth with another vendor, and they kept assuring me they could help me out within my budget and finally I had to tell them they couldn't make it work for me and I had to go another route. This review is so long overdue. We had our sons first birthday party at Waikiki Aquarium back in October and needed tables, chairs, cocktail tables & umbrella rentals. Jimmy was really easy to work with over the phone and through emails. On the day of the party the weather wasn't so great, it was pouring off and on. Joel and his set up crew were on time for set up and break down & the rentals were all clean and in good condition. Joel and his set up crew did a really awesome job setting up and made sure we were happy with placement of tables and chairs according to the floor plan I had. The rain was off and on and they made sure to wipe all the chairs and tables down for us before they left. The rain eventually stopped right before guests arrived! Praise Jesus Hallelujah!
