These people are great. We did two events, a 20-person evening and then a garden party with tent, lights, tables etc for 60 people the following night. Planning was easy with Ryan, who was clear, knowledgable and had great ideas. The setup went smoothly and everything was beautifully done. We had a glitch just before the big party where we added too much power to a circuit and blew the lights -- and they had two guys over in minutes to get it fixed. Anyone can rent you a tent. Very few people or companies do the kind of responsive, effective support that we saw in this instance. That is professionalism of the first order. Would recommend them absolutely. read more

PPR offered a great selection at very reasonable prices. We had an outdoor wedding so had a laundry list of rental items: tent, lights, dance floor, tables, chairs, dishware, utensils, etc. Everything came in great condition, and was set up professionally and on time. They have various options of each item category to accommodate every budget. We made some modifications along the way and they were always able to accommodate it (even switching to a larger tent a month out). The only thing to be mindful of is they have such a large selection so their website doesn't have pictures of everything. There are also some links that are broken, and given we were planning our wedding from CA, there were a few items that didn't look exactly as we anticipated. I'm deeply disappointed by the company's communication. I reached out to them via email back in March of this year to get details and a possible quote for a September wedding for next year in 2023 and they said they were not booking for next year. I'm finally able to go in person this past Friday and the person there was extremely helpful. However, she said she would recommend inquiring about the event that as soon as possible since they had already have 2 events that day already and it will be during a holiday weekend (Labor Day). She said they book up to 9 events in a day. I send a DETAILED message of what I'm looking for, from tables, linens, chairs, size of dance floor, etc. I send it Friday afternoon, so they don't get back to me on Monday only to tell me that they are booked back to back -- even though she said in the email that she would at least look at days ahead and after. That wasn't even given as an option as indicated, all I got was, "I regret to inform you but the current schedule is currently just so full right now with multiple back to back events. I am sorry!" How did it go from 2 events to multiple events back to back? And there's literally no availability at all for any equipment I inquired about? And it's a backyard wedding and we were told that helps since set up time would be flexible. Nothing added up or made sense. Maybe locals get priority since we're from the mainland. I don't know. I just suggest inquiring at the very specific, perfect time that seems to be the requirement to actually get services. Lots of misunderstanding and miscommunication, and overall just a bummer. read more

Sheryl at Pacific Party Rentals was the most upbeat, positive, and helpful person I dealt with the entire wedding. We hired PPR to provide rentals (tent, tables, linens, dance floor, bistro lights and uplights) for our outdoor wedding on the North Shore of Oahu in April 2021. I cannot say how grateful I am to PPR and especially Pua for being so understanding, accommodating, and flexible. When I first contacted PPR in October 2020, we had no idea what kind of wedding reception we could have in the spring, or even if we could have a reception, under the applicable Covid orders. Pua got on the phone with me and graciously offered to put my rentals "on hold" until we knew more about what would be allowed. Even with only a few weeks to go before our date, we had to keep revising our rental order due to the ever-changing Covid rules regarding social gatherings, number of persons per table, distance between tables, etc. PPR was so professional and courteous that I felt whatever happened, they would have my back. I recently got married at Loulu Palm Estate and they required me to use PPR. At first I felt concerned that we would "have to" use a vendor without our own personal choice. Once I realized that PPR is known to be the most reliable and professional party rental company on the island, we felt more at ease. We were able to use other rental companies as long as PPR didn't carry the same items in their inventory. After countless emails and phone calls, we kept getting more impressed and pleased working with PPR. We were on a very tight budget and didn't have a wedding coordinator for the whole ordering process. Sheryl treated us with respect and accommodating to my newness in the wedding planning. We rented white folding chairs for our wedding ceremony and were definitely pleased with the service Pua and everyone that we contacted at Pacific Party Rentals provided us. The folks at PPR were so helpful with pulling off a great wedding! My wedding coordinator, Alicia (Milestone Events Hawaii), has a great relationship with the folks here and it made everything go so easily and made me stress free. We rented a fairly large tent and just about everything else you need for a wedding, from chairs to glassware. They also were very helpful in dealing with our other vendors. They picked up some hay bales from a farm supply store for us on there way out to setup the event and they did it for free! Now that's good customer service. It didn't hurt to have Alicia on our side either. The only hiccups were they didn't setup the correct lighting fixtures we had rented from them. They were close, but the wrong color. It wasn't a big deal for me. They also accidentally broke a water main while backing their truck onto the venue. Luckily nothing flooded but someone had to come out and get the water running. It turned out okay but wasn't resolved until about 30 minutes before the ceremony. Overall these folks do a great job and they are very organized. I would definitely use them again if I was planning a big event! read more

The set up crew arrived right on time...so on time that our coordinator wasn't there yet so the crew got started based on the diagram I had emailed previously. They did an amazing job! They strung lights in the pavilion and on poles out over the lawn and it was beautiful. The crew also arrived on time to break down and did so quickly. All the equipment looked great, nothing was old or held together by duct tape and everyone was very professional. I ended up picking this place because our venue was in Kahaluu so this was the closest party rental facility to get the items we needed. I received a response within a few hours for my inquiry about lights, tables, coolers, etc. They weren't able to deliver and set up the equipment and the lights due to a previous scheduled event so we had to take care of that ourselves. Prices are very reasonable I thought for what we got, we rented 6ft tables, large coolers and cocktail tables. Payment was easy via credit card authorization. They were also good about sending me a reminder email that payment due was coming up (3 weeks before the wedding). I deducted one star because when we got there we had to load up all the items by ourselves. Thank goodness my husband and his friend were there because if I had gone by myself I would've been stuck in a weird spot. Drop off was very easy, definitely will use them if need be in the future and I'll just make sure I take my husband and his friend again just in case. read more

Patient with questions and full of great information and ideas. They knew the location so that helped a LOT. We had a pretty large order from Pacific Party Rentals and from what I saw online, all of their products looked to be in good condition. When placing the order it was stated that some chairs wouldn't have rubber foot covers, which was fine...the party was on grass and chair foot covers weren't necessary. Before the delivery guys left, they left us with a pack of zip ties to attach to the tables, said that some of the tables were no good because the locking mechanism was old, and to zip tie the tables so they wouldn't fall down and smash our guests. Awesome...having large, heavy tables fall on my guests (at a baby luau!!!) is exactly what I want to think about the day before my event. Not to mention, the tables that we did have were chipped and coming apart, some were wet with mold and ruined a few table cloths. Mind you, none of this was mentioned in our contract and we definitely did not get a discount on our decrepit old tables. The chairs were older as well and slightly rusted, making it hard to open and close. But somewhere along the line, someone decided that hey, why not add on 10 more chairs to their order to make up for a potential law suit. Super unprofessional. I'd say since 8' tables are pretty much a standard $8.00 at most party rental companies, spend it with a company that will guarantee you nicer, well maintained tables that won't break and break your guests legs as well. read more

However as you go along with the PPR staff you soon realize they are experts at what they do. We personally worked with Pua and she was fabulous. Initially we communicated by emails and she would answer my multiple emails very quickly. I finally went into the shop and was very glad I did so. Seeing the linens and table settings first hand helps a great deal. She also spent a long time going over our final layout and improving it considerably in person. When it came time for our actual wedding day we could not believe the dream experience we had. Their pictures and website do not do the actual product justice. They were also kind enough to leave us over $3000 in upgrades from the event that had taken place the night before at no extra cost to us. Our wedding ended up being a dream. Almost every single guest commented how they had never been to such a beautiful wedding. The tents, lighting, tables, chairs, linens, dance floor we're all absolutely stunning. Hired PPR for my wedding at a private estate in Hau'ula and everything was beautiful! I planned my wedding from California, and Pua and Candace were so helpful and responsive via email and phone. It was easy to add items or adjust the quantity up until 2 weeks before the wedding. We had never been to the property, but luckily PPR had set up many events there, so we trusted their recommendations when it came to finalizing the layout. They were kind enough to set up the day before and break down the day after the wedding, so we had plenty of time to decorate and clean up without the pressure of a deadline. They ended up bringing more tables, chairs, and glassware than we had ordered at no extra charge. The sound system and café lights were set up perfectly, and we had no electrical issues throughout the night. Everything came out beautifully, especially when the sun set. I heard from some of my other vendors that PPR is one of the more expensive party rentals compared to other companies on the island, but honestly their great communication and their experience and efficiency will give you peace of mind and make your event planning a lot less stressful! I worked with Pua to put together my rental list for an outdoor wedding and had a great experience. Pua was always quick to turn around quotes and answer questions about the impact of adding/removing certain rental items to help me decide which items were needed. For example, I was trying to save costs by doing the bare minimum bistro lighting necessary. She was happy to accommodate and also explain whether it may or may not impact how my photos come out. I had quite a few changes leading up to the event and Pua took them all in gracefully. She went above and beyond in working with my venue Paradise Cove who was very difficult about vendor break down times in order to find a way to accommodate. their pricing was a bit higher on a few items than some of the rental companies I looked at, but the equipment was also in much better condition which was important for a wedding. read more

We started planning my daughter's wedding in August 2008 (she got married on July 25, 2009) starting with rental inquiries for her outdoor wedding and the hunt for a clear-top tent which was what she wanted. And quickly found out that those things are expensive! Then at a Bridal Expo in Nov...I saw it and knew why she wanted that tent. Displayed in the middle of the convention center was a huge clear top tent and of course I quickly went to the display and inquired with the people there manning that booth. The people there were great and I even got the owner (Kalani Nuuanu) to give me a quote right there on the tent which turned out to be $100 lower than other quotes I had received. I knew then, that they were worth checking out! Got their business card & email address and over the next few months corresponded with the owner w/inquiries on various rentals until finally after reviewing all the quotes we received from vairous rental places, went into their office in February & placed our order! (I probably shouldn't say this...lol...but, I actually feel that I negotiated our order...lol. Some of their things were a little more expensive than other rental places, but by the time we were done, I had a free extra tent thrown in and a few other things discounted, which in total made me fee that I had gotten the best prices for our rental here!) Maybe I got lucky or maybe Kalani was just in a good mood that day, but there's definitely alot of Aloha spirit at PPR! Needless to say, all the way up to the day of the wedding and the day after, their service was awesome! Kalani's wife, Sheryl, who runs the office and has such a great attitude (you can just hear & see her smiling on the phone and in her emails, kept in close contact with me via emails & phone calls was so supportive and helpful, even encouraging with different changes I was considered.
