We recently visited @main_street_antiques (on Insta) in the little central coastal town of Cayucos. Main Street Antiques is one of the nicest stores in this Central California coastal area. Got to chatting with Audrey the owner. She has 25 plus vendors in a big, roomy warehouse structure including some outdoor spaces, too. Fun stuff - including signage, custom crafty stuff, vintage clothing, furniture, glass & collectibles. Their pricing is pretty competitive, too. If you're driving by on the way to Hearst's Castle it is worth getting off the highway for a visit! Up the street from the Brown Butter Cookie Company!

After shopping all the Cayucos antique shops this one was my favorite. They have a whimsical garden section as well as a great selection of clothing, jewelry, and knick-knacks. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the pricing was fantastic. Definitely stop by if you can!

It's a nice shop but there are some antiques, but it reminds me of a high priced thrift store. There's a lot of items that are just thrift store quality stuff. Lots of wooden overpriced signs. Garden stuff that is no longer usable but definitely not antique quality. There's another antique store near and it has more antiques and the items that are not antique, are very reasonably priced.

My family enjoyed walking around and spent more time in this shop than we thought we would, just perusing and trying to find our way through every twist and turn! The only dislike we had with the store is that the lighting was not that great, and nothing is organized very well. Given that it is the size of a small department store, I kind of wish that it would be organized as such -- for example, dishes and housewares, clothes and accessories, music, etc. instead of all categories spread out from top to bottom! If we ever return to Cayucos, we plan on stopping here again because there is so much to see.

There's three different floors of treasure to be found. Main floor has literally everything. Seems to entice you with what they have to offer. Going up the stairs, there's different rooms that caters to different types. You could walk into a sections that has toys from all eras of life. Some collectibles while some seem a bit creepy. Just in my opinion. It wraps around so there's so much things to look at. The two top floors seem to have more apparel's. Loads of vintage clothing, footwear and accessories. Just going from one section to the other, you're coming into treasures. There were loads of clothing that looked amazing but just like any vintage shop. The sizing varies. It's a hit or miss when it comes to apparel. Regardless, this place had loads of amazing fun vintage items. Clothing, accessories, shows, toys, even things you didn't know existed, they had. A fun store that's worth wandering around. I'm sure you'll find some amazing pieces that you didn't know you needed.

The variety of merchandise is impressive. Prices are generally reasonable. The emporium closes at 4:00pm, sharp. If you're in the shop, you'd better wrap it up and head out.

I was there with my family and we went outside to look at the stuff that was there and we found a little kitty out there. He was super friendly and just wanted some love. So we gave him love then went back inside. One of my family asked the 2 ladies working about the cat and the one with the accent made the other one go outside and pick up all the cat food that was out there and throw it away!! She was kind of nasty to the other lady about it too! Honestly it seems silly but for this reason we will never go back!!
