Lots of locals were on first name basis with the help and vise versa. Food was fantastic. The chicken fried steak was legendary - both in stature and flavor. Town has changed a little, with this eatery brightening the typical highway-into-town scene immensely. Small towns often run short on clean, friendly, uptown feeling sort of places. This is a serious exception to that norm. Ambiance was fresh and bright, a great eye-opener after a night in a motel!
