Stopped for just a few items and the store was packed because of the pending snowstorm. I couldn't find an item and asked a woman stocking shelves in another department. She admitted she wasn't sure but pointed me to the aisle she suspected it would be in. 5 minutes later I'm in that aisle looking when she approaches me and explains that she asked another employee who is more familiar and then spent a minute helping me locate it. Great customer service which is sadly too rare these days. The positive and experience continued at checkout. Again long lines and grumpy customers but the woman assisting at self checkout was upbeat, positive, and helping keep everyone moving along.

On the morning of February 6, 2026, I went to the returns counter to make a routine return and then planned to shop. The initial issue itself was minor and could have been resolved easily. Instead, it escalated unnecessarily. The returns associate (Angela) became increasingly hostile in tone and body language during a normal customer interaction. When I calmly pointed out that the tone felt inappropriate, the situation escalated further rather than being de-escalated. An Asset Protection manager (Eybar Taymes) became involved despite not having observed the interaction from the beginning. He immediately sided with the associate, referenced calling the police, and framed my attempt to raise a concern as "harassment." At no point was there a meaningful effort to slow things down or resolve the issue calmly. During this exchange, the associate made a derogatory comment about my clothing and called me an expletive in front of others. I left the store shaken. I later returned and completed a purchase without incident. The next day, I came back and the contrast was striking: when Mr. Taymes's manager was present and the focus was on operations, everything was professional and normal. But when Mr. Taymes was the only manager involved the day before, the situation spiraled out of control quickly instead of being de-escalated. This wasn't about a return being approved or denied. It was about escalation where de-escalation was clearly appropriate, and about Asset Protection authority being used in a way that felt confrontational rather than protective. I've since documented the incident through appropriate channels. My hope is simply that this store reinforces training around customer interactions, tone, and de-escalation--especially when no wrongdoing is involved. I'm continuing to shop here, but this experience was disappointing and avoidable. This store can do better--and based on my prior experiences, it usually does.

Occasionally, there's a shelf with the wrong item/price compared to the register price but the front desk will gladly adjust the difference for you with a smile. Great selection! The store is always stocked well! From the meat department to the deli and produce, staff are on pointe with customer satisfaction. Nick, part of the management team, is on board with resolving questions and issues.

So, it's different for each person depending on your style of shopping or your budget. This WindGap Giant location is accessible for many residents, and quite honestly, the only supermarket in town. What that means is, since they draw a large amount of local business, much of it older residents, they should accommodate the people with caring staff, affordable prices, good sales and quality goods. However I had errands to run in Easton, and the Easton location is has always been a lovely grocery shopping experience! They have my favorite French cooking ingredients for my classic Boursin mashed potatoes recipe, which my all time favorite butter is exclusively sold in Wegman's. Could not visit the store and not stop by the hot bar to have a few of the garlic, Parmesan wings, and pizza. The sandwich shop makes incredible hero sandwiches. The food is incredibly delicious, the service is great. The atmosphere was quiet, just how I like it. Personally have many more favorites that only Wegman's sell that no other grocery store sells. When visiting PA., always have to stop at Wegman's. Be sure to check them out!
