Main St Market in Smyrna is quickly becoming a local favorite of mine. On my first visit, I stopped in just before closing and was impressed with how friendly and attentive the service was, even at the end of the day. I tried the wings and a cod sandwich--both had good flavor, though they seemed previously frozen, and the cod was a little chewy. The wings would've been perfect if I had asked for them fried hard. Dessert that night was a slice of cake that was absolutely delicious. Since then, I've gone back twice and left just as satisfied. For breakfast Friday morning, I had eggs over easy with home fries and bacon--everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Saturday's lunch was a massive Italian sub (or "hoagie" as they call it in Delaware) that was so big I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Their baked desserts are amazing--my personal favorite is the yellow cake with chocolate icing. Service can be a bit slow at times, but the staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and the food keeps me coming back. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Smyrna. read more

We ordered three meals for take out. They said they would call when it was ready. After waiting 30 minutes we went and rang the door bell to check on the order. They said 5-10 more minutes. We waited in the car for 20 more minutes and called and they rudely said we will call when it ready... We waited 10 more minutes and called to cancel the order. Then we got a call a few minutes later saying the order was ready, we explained the situation that we waited over an hour and had already left. Then two hours later they called back saying they've been trying to get a hold of us and that it's been ready and was super rude, I started explaining what happened and they just hung up. We went here for lunch and it was a good experience. When we went in we where greated by the nice lady who rung us up. She provided us the menu and said everything was good. My husband ordered the "Buddy" cheese steak (large) for $9.75 and I ordered the cheese steak sub (small) in chicken for $7.75. We also got 2 small waters, a bag of chips and a complementary slice of cake since it was our first time here all for $20.56. The Buddy was huge and loaded with cheese, mushrooms, and a rich gravy all through it. My husband also added carmelized onions on it, but he was only able to eat half because it was so large so there was a lot left for me to pick at. It was rich, meaty and had great seasoning. The cheese steak sub came with lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise. The mayo created a moist sandwich but the gravy in the "Buddy" was so much better. The slice of cake we chose was the orange cake. It had a beautiful fluffy frosting and tasted like orangesickle. Very good and large enough to share. We can't wait to go back and try all of their other sandwiches. My job was kind enough to cater lunch for us from Main Street Market. For $10 they provided a delicious and filling mini sandwich on a 6 inch roll, chips, and a homemade brownie. The sandwich was filled with the standard Italian Cold Cut Sub fixings, and I can only imagine that it would have been better had i been able to customize my meal. No need whatsoever to customize the brownie, as it was perfection. I live no where near Smyrna, but have friends in the area. Now I just need to invite myself over and offer to pick up a meal on my way. I hope they like brownies! read more

This place really packs a lot of meat in their cheesesteak. The Italian sub is packed with mostly a salty ham and hardly anything else. The main thing I don't like about this place is that you have to pick up your food at a window outside. The employees are very friendly. We just go toWayback to get our cheesesteaks now. It came with fried onions, mushrooms and Buddy's buttery cream sauce who's is only occasionally shared with friends. The roll had a nice crust and was very chewy. Good amount of meat and it was obviously real steak. With my limited culinary knowledge I would call Buddy's sauce and Alfredo sauce. A lot of very good sauce. If you're in Smyrna and you want to learn a little bit about Smyrna history and you are craving a saucy cheesesteak complete with a free dessert for first-time patrons then Main Street Market is a must stop for you. We attended a memorial service at which Main Street Market had provided the food. I was impressed. I drove 10 miles to this Market to see if they would be able to provide sandwiches for a small get-together (10 people) to be held 2 weeks later. They were only doing window service but the lady at the window was pleasant said they'd be able to help especially since I'd be picking up the order. She took my name and number for "Cathy" to call me and said she returns calls in the evening. She also gave me an email address and told me to contact "Cathy." I sent an email that night. No response and no phone call. I emailed again the next day. No response and no phone call. I called the business 6 times over the next few days during business hours and no one answered the phone, and leaving a message was not an option. Great small local shop for a quick bite! I had the cheesesteak and loved it. I typically eat here which visiting the area and have never had anything bad. We were also offered free brownie ends that they seem to give away regularly. However I miss the feel and atmosphere of being able to walk into the market and place an order. Probably the most delicious grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had! And bonus- these people are SO Nice! Small town charm at it's finest! I should mention this is a "to-go" place with no seating inside. So find yourself a nice park to enjoy your food. First time visitors get a free dessert! The pumpkin bar was one of the best I've ever had. We got a full size bag of chips, a grilled cheese, egg salad sandwich, bottled coke, and coffee for about $15.
