The vendors typically stay the same week to week and there are usually good trucks available also. My favorite part is the Buffalo themed vendors that you don't get at the Hamburg Farmers market. Nothing beats some home-made loganberry wine! The tents are placed about 10 feet apart to allow as much social distancing as you can in a farmers market.

Its in a parking lot but you can park there and walk right up. There are a variety of vendors and priced nicely. We used cash for all our purchases but not sure if there was an option for use of cards. Will be back in the fall to see what fruit and vegetables are available. And once you are done at the market you can take a walk on Main Street to see all the local shops and restaurants. Nice day in EA!

It is pretty much always crowded, so be prepared to stand in lines at most of the vendor booths. The lines actually feel like a plus to me, since it is well organized and clear to know who is next. Some markets feel more like a free-for-all of whoever is loudest and this way is far more comfortable for a person with social anxiety. Of course it's crowded because everything here is high quality and sold at peak freshness. There are fruits, veggies, prepared foods, canned foods, flowers, and in the late spring / early summer you'll find seedlings for home gardens. Prices aren't low but it is important to support our local food infrastructure and the flavors are outstanding. I have talked with a lot of the farmers and vendors and every one has been friendly and helpful. Most vendors I shop with here accept credit cards. I would love to see more variety, as most of the farm stands tend to have similar things - farmers, please grow more tomatillos, radicchio, hakurei turnips, artichokes, and other less-common veggies! Logistics: Streets are tight, parking is all parallel-parking on the street, and there are not enough sidewalks. The entire market is on grass. I don't think there are any restrooms. Bring a wagon if you intend to buy anything large or heavy.

It was so much fun to wander past the stalls of local food/produce/products and see all of the people out enjoying the gorgeous morning. We ate breakfast here from one of the vendors. They have a few small tables and chairs you can sit at - a lot of other people brought chairs or blankets. The vendors were varied and all local - it was really a wonderful way to start our trip to Buffalo.

I noticed that the honey came from Fredonia, New York. Anyway, the last time I bought colorful eggs was at the North Tonawanda City Market. All of them were stinky bad. I felt scammed. This time I took a chance, still remembering my unfortunate purchase. I'm telling you, these eggs are super tasty. I'm an egg snob, so I know:). Some day, I'm definitely going back for more. What else did I see? There was coffee available and some snacks. Orso Nero Pizza Truck. 12 Flat Mushrooms. Flowers. Meat. Bagels. Wine. Anastasia's Bakery, and more 'artisan' kind of stuff I don't remember right now. The sourdough bread from The Heritage Kitchen At Plato Dale Farm, looked really good. I'm glad I purchased one of their loaves. It's made with whole wheat flour so it's a bit more dense, but the taste and overall product is decent. I just wonder whether any of the sourdough starters in my fridge are still usable. Baking bread takes time and care. It was money well spent. So, I brought home just bread and eggs, the perfect combination. A soft-boiled egg with toasted bread and butter for breakfast is one of the simple pleasures in this world.

However, there is less products inside so that's the trade off. We were still able to get all the favorites. We got a dozen of the cider donuts and they were absolutely delicious as always. We also stocked up on apple cider and even picked up some of the last jars of jam and pancake mix. It was nice to have the whole place essentially to ourselves to end the season. We also had some slushies and coffees as well which was a nice cheers to next year when we will go to opening day again.

The truth is, in the past, it was never my favorite spot for buying fruit and vegetables. But now, I think the place has simply become one of the best in the area. The new location is very convenient. The produce always looks fresh and beautiful. I'm not sure how organic or not everything is, but it's mostly 'homegrown', whatever that means. In spring, you can buy seasonal plants; perennials and annuals, including hanging flower baskets. In the autumn, they offer the best ever collection of pumpkin varieties, and potted garden mums. This week, I plan to try out the "Produce Box" offer. I wonder if I'll manage to get one, since it looks like they're usually all sold out pretty fast.
