As others have shared, this is a beautiful outdoor shopping center with pretty much every store imaginable. I wished I had more time but will absolutely return next time I'm in the area. Gardens Promenade was built in 2000 on the site of the former Carol Mart Plaza which was home to…read morethe 183rd St Flea Market and two night-time entertainment spots, Studio 183 and Miami Nights in Miami Gardens. Garden Promenade is a spacious 32 acre corner shopping plaza with a diverse range of stores and places to eat. I stopped in to check out the new Daiso which is a popular Japanese discount store. This is the first one to open in South Florida. It drew crowds who were waiting over an hour to even get in. I ended up hanging out after to check out a few of the other businesses. If you like discount shopping, this is a great plaza. There are 46 businesses in this plaza. These include Ross, Marshall's Old Navy, Burlington, dd's Discounts, Dollar Tree, Shoe Carnival, #1 Beauty Supply, Rainbow Shops, and America's Best. There is also a Wawa, McDonald's, and Advance Auto Parts. You can pretty much get anything you need in this plaza making it very convenient for shoppers.

The music played on the waterfall called us. Coco Walk is an upscale bit bohemian outdoor shopping mall with retail shops, popular eateries & a theater amid an outdoor courtyard. Marvin's, Mister 01, Koko's and Sweet Greens are my favorites.

It was popular with tourists and locals until a decline in the 2000's due to more attractive competition in the area. After being sold several times it underwent a major renovation by Federal Realty and partners. The north wing of the mall was demolished to make way for offices. The Cheesecake Factory, Fat Tuesday and Victoria's Secret were replaced with independent boutiques, offices, and community spaces to better fit in with Coconut Grove's bohemian urban village. Other features added included a large open-air plaza, foliage, a mini waterfall, trees and a modern design intended to blend in with the surrounding Coconut Grove neighborhood. I came to Coconut Grove to attend the King Mango Strut Festival and while standing on the sidewalk in front of CocoWalk I saw a beehive of activity. I hadn't been here in years and I was surprised to see how nice it is. After the parade I stopped in to check it out and left impressed wit hthe changes that have been made. Cinepolis, the movie theater has stood the test of time and it is now joined by 3D Botanico Gin & Cookhouse, Brows, Blue Mercury, Chase, Chop, Coco Cigars, Edward Beiner, El Bagel, Europann-USA, Eva, FP Movement, Gas Bijoux, Infinity, Misterpi, Montce, Narbona, Planta Queen, Skinlab by Barba, sportive, Sushi Garage, Sweetgreen, School of Rock, The Spot Barbershop, and The Oyster Bar. In addition to beauty services, classes, dining, and shopping they also offer events in the courtyard like story time, music, and Pilates. After the parade I enjoyed an ice cream cone from Salt and Straw in the tropical, open-air courtyard. The lush landscaping, outdoor seating, and relaxed urban-village feel make this pleasant place in the Grove to hang out and pass time. If there is one large drawback to CocoWalk it would be that finding affordable parking in the Grove is always a challenge.

There are great restaurants here to check out Giralda street is now closed off and there are so many new restaurants that you can actually join. It is nice to sit in the middle of the plaza and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer from the local restaurant. although Giralda is off miracle Mile, I still consider it part of the mile. On the mile there's always different things to do. There's always some festival or happening that keeps the community engaged with their own city. They have great happy hours, and a lot of options for a cheaper meal or a cheaper cocktail. I definitely suggest this area if you want to hang out go out and feel safe. There are always police around fire rescue and the community is nice.

Downtown Coral Gables & Miracle Mile Miami is an excelente place to walk with many different types…read moreof shops, unique galleries, cafes and restaurants of all types and tastes. Also you have plenty of parking and extended sidewalk space. We came Saturday to the Art Festival and we found a big crowd but safe and clean. Easy parking 1 block away from the event at reasonable prices. Live music with several different acts. Lots of vendors with a wide range of pricing, there was something for everybody. Overall a fun, positive and refreshing experience!!

Pembroke Lakes Square offers a decent parking experience, but it can get quite crowded during peak…read morehours. There are enough spots available most of the time, but finding one close to the entrance can feel like a game of musical chairs. A little more organization in the layout would definitely help. Overall, it's functional but could use some improvement!

Lately, whenever I find myself in this predicament, I just pop into Pembroke Lakes Square. This plaza is BOOMING with yummy places to eat like Bolay, Five Guys, Burger & Beer Joint, Panera, Pei Wei, Chipotle, Jamba Juice, etc. There are also some shops like Walgreens, Home Depot, a boutique, and a jewelry store. If you're thinking this is a hang-out spot where you can spend a few hours, it's probably not. But there's a mall just one block over and other plazas nearby with even more things to do. BONUS: Ample, free parking! (We all know what a gem that is in South Florida.)

Easy parking, parking lot looks clean, businesses are cared for, and this mall is close to many other businesses in Doral.

One would think that with all of the added residential buildings it would allow the retail shops and eateries to thrive but what we witnessed today was anything but that. Most of the retail businesses that were here one year ago are long gone and almost all of the restaurants were completely empty. Meter parking is tight but plentiful weekdays. After long walking in the heat, we managed to find a few interesting retro shops and great pizza.

Every few months I drop off my alterations for leather boots, purses and dresses at Sew & Fix at the east side of the plaza. The plaza has a good variety of businesses including a brand new Flamingo Supermarket as the anchor business. The plaza butts up against the Embassy Lakes Professional Center that has several medical offices.
