Main Street USA in Chessy, France!!
It looks like Disneyland, CA! Feels like it. Even sounds like it at times with music. Just not the signs, the prices, the names, the staff, the ordering etc. it's all in French naturally.
But it's pretty much is like it. Minus the crazy stampede of a crowd. There's still a lot of people, a lot of younger people ( teens) and couples. Some kids! Most smoking, ( cigarettes are allowed here, I know! Weird). And if you're me, drinking champagne non stop because! Well they have champagne carts! Like everywhere. No ones really buying though.. it's like €10-€15 for a glass when you can buy a whole bottle for the same outside.
But it's an experience! The Mickey Minnie macarons are gorgeous. And tasty! The cookies! I had a latte too. Strong and delicious. The parade time is chaotic!! But still better than US though. People aren't fighting or stepping over you for a view: a pic.
And night time is magical. Music, lattes, champagne! People strolling! It's like all things we know about Main Street USA plus French flare. And less stress! What's not to like. read more
