They let me know ahead of time - that the blemish was noticeable - and they offered me a credit and a guarantee of free return and exchange if it wasn't satisfactory. They over torque wheels making them have uneven clamp wear causing uneven wear on the breaks, my wife drives for work and when I inspected the breaks they had uneven wear, i had my wife ask them to use a torque stick they told her for me to use wd/40 sad a tire shop telling a customer to use a water displacement instead of doing your job correctly and using torque sticks, guess you pay for what you get. there is a reason on why they use torque specs, what if the client was an old man thinking he can try and get a lug nut off. not cool to hammer on a lug nut with an air gun USE A TORQUE STICK.. not coming here again or recommend it read more

I purchased 4 new tires left the vehicle there and the wheels were so damaged from removing the old and mounting the new tires that it seemed they did the damage on purpose? I called and asked to talk to the owner and just got the run around it's been a couple of weeks and no explanation or customer consideration! Called and asked for a price on a very specific tire size, got the price and went down to store, at the store they said that they gave me the price for a different size and the new size was $30 more each. That "I" had misquoted the tire size and that their guy was never wrong. (not his exact words). I was kind of short on time so I went ahead and got the tires knowing I was going to write a review. Mind you, they open at 9 am. He didn't even mention anything about bringing it in at a different time or it was going to be a long wait. I'm a repeat customer of Main Tires & Wheels using the S.P. location when I lived there then after moving to Moorpark doing my business there. When I needed some wheels Uni Lugged Manuel from Moorpark store told me only the S.P. store could do them. After taking them there and 5 days pass I called to ask Jose about them and was told he was not there, would be back later. After 4 days gone by and making four more calls and was told the same so I drive there and to my surprise Jose is there and confront him about being told he's not there then was jokingly like told "no I'm still not here" which was not Professional in any way, being lied to most likely if truth be known.After this he demands I pay Cash, Period. end of discussion, was clearly agitated and went on about his business not talking to me, again being what I thought was un un professional. So much for being a repeat customer, it ended that day. Not only had I purchased two tires from the Moorpark store two weeks prior, I was to purchase four more at the end of this same month per Manuel at Moorpark store. I called Manuel and explained what just happened and told him I would no longer be doing any business with MTW as a result of this. Just an FYI to Jose, if you're not supportive to your ''REPEAT CUSTOMERS" then why should I support you or the business you're representing. Called to buy used tires, SP didn't have the right size so they referred me to their Oxnard location. The employee instructed me to pick up the tires from that location so we could install them in SP since the car wasn't towable and they wouldn't transfer used tires themselves which is understandable. After I paid for the tires in Oxnard and transported the tires myself in another car, they still charged me an additional $100 because supposedly Oxnard sold me the tires as a "carry out", but if I had them installed in Oxnard or bought the tires in SP there would have not been an additional fee. I've bought tires for 4 vehicles in the last 6 months from the same place with the same people. I will never be returning to them and I will let all my friends know to not do business with them. read more

Wow really impressed with Main Tire's customer service! I was commuting from Santa Clarita to Oxnard on the 126 and ran over a boulder in the road which blew out the side wall of my rear left tire. My Chevy volt uses a special good year fuel effecient tire which I kind of knew. Jose from Main Tires knew the exact fuel saver tire from good year and mentioned he could get it this afternoon. Without further delay he said I will put a temporary used tire on your car so you get to work and then come back in the afternoon to install the good year fuel efficient tire. In Dec I woke up to a flat tire, I went to the closest tire shop, and was NOT disappointed. They patched 2 of my tires, rotated them and all in less then an hour. First of all I wanna say that my husband has been going to this place since it opened & between him & my son they spent alot of $ there, that being said I took my husband's BRAND NEW CAR that he's only had for about 1 month to have new rims put on it & the old rims were put in a box and put back inside my car & I did notice they were having trouble fitting them bk in..anyway when I got home I saw that they had scratched my bumper & when my husband took it back to them they washed their hands of the whole thing & said "it didn't happen here" I am so f*$# ticked off this is a brand new car without even a license plate yet & for them to say I'm lying or I don't know wth my car looked like b4 I took it to them is insulting, I'm all about keeping the business in our town but it's people like this that make me go elsewhere.
