He was a rescue puppy from a foster home in Georgia, and we had never met him before picking him up at the transport drop off. His foster mom had told us that he was a bit of an Alpha and he was very affectionate. Well, once we got him we learned he was more than a bit of an Alpha, that he hadn't been properly socialized with other dogs, he was dominant, and high energy. Elizabeth determined this during his assessment but said she would take him. On day two Elizabeth confirmed suspicions that my husband and I had that Lido was not the Lab mix that the rescue told us we were getting, that he was indeed a Pit Bull. I don't have anything against Pit Bulls, but the news did have an effect on how I felt about the whole situation. After five days of going to Elizabeth's, Lido was a totally changed pup. By using exercise, discipline, and appropriate affection, Lido was listening, he was calm, and sleeping through the night without any accidents. Elizabeth was very informative, caring, and really teaching us how to raise our puppy. It's clear that she's passionate about her work, and she does it very well. Sadly, Lido was sent back to Georgia after having him for two weeks. Though he was behaving, I had a sense of unease around him and I knew eventually that would transfer to him and possibly make him aggressive towards me. I didn't think waiting to see if that feeling would go away would be good for either one of us, so my husband and I made the really hard decision to send him back to the rescue. Elizabeth was wonderfully understanding when I told her, and really helped in making me see there was nothing wrong with me, that he just wasn't the puppy for us. We'll get another puppy someday, but we'll take our time and research breeds that would work for us, and make sure to meet the puppy before bringing him/her home. I was so impressed with what spending two weeks in Elizabeth's care did for Lido that we'll definitely return when we get another puppy.

My Golden Doodle Lucy started at Your Dog's Inn in February 2015. She was 6 1/2 months old, cute as…read morea button, but bouncing off the walls and off anyone in her reach. Originally she was only going to go 3 days per week, but the owner and Pack leader Elizabeth quickly observed that Lucy might be more suited for the puppy program which would be 5 days per week. I can't thank Elizabeth enough for allowing Lucy to be part of her puppy program, after only 2 1/2 months, the difference is amazing. I have a wonderful dog I enjoy spending time with and all of my time is not spent having to discipline her or correct her over and over. She comes home tired, she greets visitors at the door like a lady and her habit of stealing everything that was not nailed down has almost completely stopped. Elizabeth is upfront & honest right from the beginning when she meets you for the first time and observes your dog. She tells it like it is and I find that very refreshing as it helps to alleviate any misunderstandings concerning her expectations and what she can offer her clients from her program. Your Dog's Inn is a clean, safe, interactive place where your dog can learn how to interact with other dogs (big and small) in a positive way. Elizabeth often videos and posts the antics of her "pack" which allows us to see and enjoy their progress on a regular basis. One is very old and not able to be easily worked with due to her skittish nature ( Honey Bun ). The staff here did an awesome AWESOME job with both dogs and I was able to watch which helped me overcome my anxiety about having Honey Bun groomed . We go there for grooming and boarding and they are awesome! Megan does a FANTASTIC job with the kennels and you know she and her staff really care about the dogs. But most of all is everyone's upbeat, postive, caring attitude! You just can't find that anymore. I love these guys and so do my dogs!

Carden Kennels is the greatest place to send your pets! We've had our dog stay at many kennels…read morebecause we've moved a lot, and Carden Kennels is by far the best. The staff is so kind and cares so deeply about each pet. My family always gets so sad when we have to go on long trips away from our dog, but we always feel so comfortable leaving our pup in Carden's hands. When we ask our dog, "do you want to go see friends?" he knows that means he's going to Cardens. He gets so excited, hops up on his hind legs, and tries to jump in his travel bag. We know how much he loves Cardens and Cardens loves him!

The kennel seems to be run by teens with little experience and not much knowledge of pet care. We always used to tune into the pet cams when we were traveling to see our baby and verify that cleaning and care were actually taking place. When we picked up our baby at 2pm there was dried food in her bowl and the kennel looked like it was not cleaned. It has been two years since the pet cams have been working and It gives me an uneasy feeling that this is intentional. We are actively looking for a new kennel and highly doubt we will use this kennel again.

They worked with me to find the optimal location for him in the kennel where he wouldn't have to see dogs and cats. They spent time with him every day and sent me frequent pictures and updates. Bunny diets are not easy but they followed my hay, pellet, treat, and salad feeding instructions so he didn't have any GI disturbances. Everyone I met was so kind, from the staff to the manager to the owner. They all really obviously care about animals and seem to like their jobs. I don't like to leave my bunny behind and avoid it if possible. But sometimes it's unavoidable and I'll be way less worried doing so in the future, knowing that this kennel is nearby.

My family adopted a puppy in September and wanted to socialize her and ensure she was staying…read moreactive so we submitted and application a few weeks later for a couple days of daycare a week. I answered the questions in depth as best as I could and received an email stating there was a "long wait list" but they'd be in touch when they had availability. Over 6 months later, I decided to resubmit my application. This time, I was able to provide more insight to our dog's behavior and show that she had been to training. I received the same email back - they still had our application but had a long wait list. Recently, I was speaking with an acquaintance who happened to be picking up her dog from Zucco's. I admitted my jealously and how I'd been on the waitlist since September. She was confused since she had only recently started bring her pup there and did not have to wait more than a few weeks. She asked what kind of dog I had. I explained we weren't sure since she was adopted from the humane society but we guess she is part pitbull, part lab, and probably many other breeds as well. Well, she mentioned one other person she knows who had a pit mix who was turned away outright from Zucco's. No interview, no meeting the pup, no regard for their demeanor and lack of ANY aggression. Am I to assume this is why I have not received a call? Because I guessed bout my dogs breed?. Or perhaps because she was adopted based on what I've read from other reviews. Either way, I don't appreciate being strung along for nearly a year if they have no intention of even meeting my sweet, tolerant, not-an-aggressive-bone-in-her-body puppy. She was rescued very young and has no history of abuse. I would rather they just tell me "no" than keep me on a wait list indefinitely that doesn't seem to exist for others. I would love to be proved wrong here and still hope to hear from the business but I don't have much hope. *******UPDATE******** Hours after posting my review above I received the email below. Childish. I should also note that my pup was 3m old when I first applied. And bully breeds? How awful. Email: Hi there, We appreciate your interest in Zucco's Dog House. At the Dog House our daycare is now FULL and we are no longer accepting adult dogs. We are only accepting puppies at this time (10-24 weeks). We have also changed our policy on adult dogs if accepted. Adult dogs will be CONSIDERED only if they have been to a previous daycare and if they are not presently attending a local daycare. If at a present daycare we recommend remaining at the present daycare, due to limited space at all local daycares. We have learned through research and experience that high prey drive breeds do not do well with our open concept. These dogs generally go above threshold due to excessive stimulations. Examples of these breeds: Bully breeds, working breeds or herding breeds (German Shepherds, Pitbulls or pit-bull mixes, collies, cattle dogs etc...). Caitlin took our boy and won his trust quickly and was able to give him and end to end remodel and refurbish cut with no problems which was so remarkable I still can't believe it .
