We have been using this company for two winters now after using a couple others that have long delivery wait times and impersonal customer service. I just am consistently blown away at how Maine-Ly Heating Oil is hands down the best local oil company. They are competitive and often cheaper with pricing, have outstanding customer service and prompt delivery. I've been able to secure next day delivery regularly in our busy winter months and today they even worked me in for same day as I was in a pinch and had run out on a Friday. If I could give this place a zero I would. After ordering oil Friday and agreeing I would leave check on the door for them, today being Wednesday and still having not received oil I called the company. They go on to tell me the driver said there was no check left on the door and the driver had already been by twice and would not come back unless I drop off a check. So I went into the office dropped of a check and I still have no oil. Not only was the secretary rude to me the driver a liar but now I have no hot water and will be switching companies. read more

They have always been polite and on time. I would highly recommend. My wife and I are new to cold winter and ran out of oil last year during a cold snap, Maine-Ly did everything they could to get us our oil as quickly as possible. read more

Ordered heating oil yesterday, provided my payment information and was thanked! I was not given a deliver date but we've ordered from them the last time and things were fine. I didn't anticipate any issues. This morning the driver shows up-confirmed on the security system-knocks and places a flyer in the door and leaves without delivering our oil. We did not make contact with the driver the last time he delivered so I'm confused when I call to inquire. The receptionist that later identified as the owners wife was unnecessarily rough and defensive. She stated no one came to the door and they would not come back out today. This person spoke to me with what felt like pure hate and disdain. I was told I'd need to find another company as she wouldn't be sending anyone back out. After reading the reviews I can see I'm not special. Made some calls and long story short the interaction ended up saving me money on my oil purchase and I found a company who treated me kindly! read more
