This is a copy of the complaint I just filed with the Better Business Bureau. It says it all. I…read morepray I get some resolution to this. My tub faucet has been streaming water for two days. They would have come back today to fix it, but "the boss" made it clear that it was not going to be just a simple repair or replacement of the faucet. He knew I had more complex issues with the pipes, which were going to cost me. My point is that I paid them a lot to fix my bathroom and kitchen sink (which have, so far, been fine) and my bathtub faucet. That is all I wanted them to come fix, and I don't think that should have cost me more. He also suggested it could be a bad faucet from Lowe's that could be replaced under warranty. I felt he was implying that it would be my responsibility to return it to Lowe's. I informed him that was incorrect. Mark, the plumber, bought it, and it should be his responsibility to return it and replace it. For the $1000 I paid them for those three jobs just a week ago, making it right would really be the "5 star" thing to do. Instead, I, the unhappy customer, was yelled at! I am extremely upset about this situation. My Complaint to the BBB: "I had a serious plumbing issue last week and looked online for a plumber, hoping I could get someone to come the next day. The first website I found was Mountaineer Plumbing, which has a 24 hour hotline. The person who answered the phone told me a plumber would call me back soon. A guy named Mark called and made an appointment to come the next day. He couldn't find my address on GPS, so I offered to meet him in the nearest town. He had a helper with him named Ivan. After briefly looking at the three issues I needed repaired, Mark announced that it would be $1000. Though I couldn't afford the price, I was desperate and agreed to pay that amount. During the day of work, the men went to Lowe's for parts twice, the second time because they bought the wrong faucet for the bathtub. While they were there, Ivan asked me out, which I was shocked by and found very inappropriate. Mark repaired the three areas of plumbing and left after several hours of work. He texted me later to say I could call him if I needed anything else. Just a few days later, the tub faucet started leaking again. I called Mark and he made an appointment to come yesterday to repair it. They never showed up, so I called him this morning. He said his boss needed to speak with me. Another man called me shortly after to explain that fixing it was going to cost me more. I suggested that the price was already excessive and that I had been scammed. He became angry and verbally abusive. He yelled at me that his company doesn't scam anyone and that they are a 5 star company with great reviews. I stated that I feel the price was excessive for the work that was done and that now needs repaired already. I requested that he send someone just to fix the faucet and nothing else. He stated it could be a warranty on the faucet and made an appointment to come. Then, he asked me to meet them again, because Mark is not good with finding people's houses! He also stated that he knew I would have to pay more to get more done. Very wrong!"

Update I spoke to the service manager today and after a long…read moreconversation and clearing up our miss communications we corrected the issue completely. From Robin in the office to Mason here at my home and Tim fixing everything we are on track to doing more business. Thanks guys for understanding the problem and resolving it totally.

In July of 2024 the air conditioner in my house stopped working. I then did what most people would…read moredo and contacted Lowe's. They then referred me to Appalachian Heating. I called and was connected with Stephanie Gray. Stephanie told me to abandon the purchase with Lowe's and to go with one of their units. I told her that I have always been happy with Lowe's and would like to stick with purchasing one from them. She then went out to the property and told me which unit I would need to purchase, to fit my house. I then made the purchase. After that, she told me to make a deposit of $1,283.50 to get the installation started and I paid it. The installation was then scheduled. When the first date we scheduled approached, it was canceled and rescheduled. Then, the second date arrived and they began installation. As it turned out, they had me purchase a wrong device, that was sold separately from the Forced Air unit and said they'd be back in a couple of days. A couple of days turned into approximately 3 weeks. They came back out to put the "correct" device in and then told me that the whole unit won't wire correctly to my house. They told me I had to pay an additional $1,500 to correct their error. They told me to purchase this unit, and that it would fit. If it doesn't fit, then they need to return the unit and get the correct one, or install whatever wiring is needed to make it correctly fit my house. They are trying to pretend it isn't their problem that it is a wiring issue. That is the very problem, they told me to buy this unit and if there is a wiring issue, the above two avenues are the way to fix it and they need to do so. Since this occurrence, Stephanie no longer works there. When I reported what she had said to me, they tried to tell me, oh well, we have no way of knowing what she said she no longer works here. I told them I do have proof of what she said I have the emails and I sent them the screenshots which I am also going to display on this review. I now have tenants living in the house that have no heat, because of this issue. This they are doing to a 9 year veteran of the Army as I deal with the aftermath of both hurricanes Helene and Milton. I do not have to deal with now being gouged by this company, especially at a time like this. So, if you intend to deal with this company, make sure to look at these reviews and take them seriously. This is what you are in for, in making such a decision as to use them. As you can see, other people who have used them have also experienced this EXACT same attempt to squeeze them for more money. They replied to this review and my statement still stands. Thus, it isn't compatible with my electrical connection and you shouldn't have had me purchase this. You are the professional and should have known that. You should have had me purchase one that would have been compatible. In other words, the response backs up my complaint entirely, and I hope everybody reading this is paying attention to that statement that THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY has made. In fact, I am taking a screenshot to post, in case he tries to take down such a pathetic attempt at addressing this issue.
