The first note from the manager was- that's about of stuff--- well if you don't want that much, then limit it on your website. A nice way to put it would have been to say "thank you, but we may have to make another appointment". I'm a recently retired physician and have many nice work shoes and clothing items that were never worn, especially during COVID, and would have liked to consign so others could enjoy. They did have an amazing prada dress that would be perfect, but a tad bit out of my price range. The lovely sales associate did her best to try to find something that was perfect, but no such luck. I went back to shop and picked out a few things and applied the gift card to it and found out that someone else already used it. The owner was there and she is the one I dealt with and treated me like I did something wrong. I wanted to go file a police report with the name of the person that used the card and she said that is a customer and has nothing to do with it. She was horrible to me and she knew that they screwed up by giving me this empty gift card and gave the credit to this person that shopped after me. I was very disappointed how they handled this.
