Wow! My friend and I just randomly walked by this place, and decided to go in. They had lots of good sweets. We got the kouginette. They came in many flavors, but we got the natural. It was really excellent! Highly recommend this place.

Macarons here are about $.90/ea. Don't worry though, they are just as good as the pricier ones. Very good assortment of flavors. Among the many I chose, the almond, chocolate, and black currant were my favorite flavors. Despite the shops popularity, it was fairly empty on a Monday afternoon. Plenty of cookies and other chocolate treats to choose from. However, I was happy with my 10 macarons for less than $10.

Chocolate! Paris chocolates really are next level - we bought a few pieces each and then tasted them next to a commercial brand of chocolate! They were delicious - small batch production with fresh high quality ingredients really do make a difference - nicey but pricey!

Kouignettes. If there's a heaven, they'll have them there!

Date of visit: September 11, 2022 We were walking to a boat tour of the Seine and wanted a little snack to wash down the terrible food we had at a tourist trap restaurant near the Eiffel Tower and came upon this place near the shops and theatres of the Odeon area. I didn't think it was open as there was no one in the store but there was a large sign that said they were in fact open so we popped in and I am glad we did! They have a little bit of everything though the star of the show is really the kouignettes. We got a salted caramel one and an almond one, but the salted caramel was everything. We also snagged some macarons because we were in France, and those were also fantastic. My husband doesn't normally care for macarons but he really liked these. Really the only reason I can't go five stars is because service was a bit meh. The one person working was more concerned with stocking than assisting us and I almost felt like I was bothering her to get our items.

You have to try this place! We got kouignettes, macarons, and assorted chocolates. We've been to a few locations and they seem to have consistant service and products. The staff was helpful and if you speak English they have English speaking staff too.

Mason Georges Larnicol is all over Paris. I came here and bought some treats back home. I tried their macaroons and their chocolate. The macaroons can be purchased in a box of 7, 15, 30. They can also be purchased by pieces. I really liked their macaroons. They were made fresh. They were very light and flavorful. Prices were very reasonable. Their chocolate squares were very rich and delicious. They also sells cookies, pastries and nuts. Either in bulk or boxes. Great souvenirs to bring back home.

I went to the expense-overrated Macaroon place near Arc de Triumphe first. I was like, "There's no way I'm paying this much per macaroon." So I didn't. Sorry if any Natives are offended. This was next to a restaurant my friends and I ate for lunch. It was a neat, welcoming, and sleek shop. Display cases were neat and orderly. They had more options than macaroons too. Their macaroons were all under 1 Euro each, so I tried a lot of their flavors. I really loved the passion fruit one and the almond ones! The cashier was super friendly and patient with me, as a foreigner who was overwhelmed by all the options. I'd definitely return and try their other decadents if I'm ever in Paris again. Bon voyage!

This is a great place I stumbled on the way to dinner near Saint-Germain in Paris. Selling macarons, chocolate, cookies, and kouignette. First time trying it. It was buttery, but heavy like a hockey puck. It originated in the Brittany region on northwest France. Reasonably priced for such a high quality product.

My main reason for stopping by here was to try the kouignettes, so I purchased a regular kouignette and a citron gateau (cake). The kouignette was too sweet for my tastes. I think if I had an opportunity to heat it up, it would have been much better. I saved the gateau until I made it back to the United States. It held up really well. It had fresh lemon zest in the cake and the lemon frosting wasn't sweet. The cake was moist and buttery too. If you don't like sweet cakes and/or are looking for a small French treat to take back home, then the gateaus are an excellent choice. There were several flavors available for both kouignettes and gateaus as well as many other sweet selections. You're sure to find something to meet your needs.

Like many others have expressed in their review, there is no way to pass by this sweet shop without stopping in for some treats. From the largest meringues I've ever seen to endless amounts of macaroon flavors to assorted chocolates and other sweets, the selection here is absolutely outstanding. Unfortunately I didn't have much room in my travel bag to grab a bunch of goodies (I wanted to buy everything), so I only ended up with a bag of macaroons. I tried coconut, strawberry, vanilla and pistachio and all were delicious, especially pistachio which is always my fave! The pricing was pretty fair, and I was able to grab a bag of 6 macaroons for only a few euro. I definitely suggest stopping in for a pick me up if you find yourself in the Montmartre area. Just save a little bit of your sweets craving for one of the fresh crepe stands outside of Sacre Coeur!

Beautiful chocolate shoppe located on Saint Germain near the Odeon Cinema. I tried several of the pinwheel looking desserts. The salted caramel and raspberry ginger were my favorite..

It's located on a street packed with trinket shops. I bought a few lose macaroons in a small bag the night before; . (For the paper bag, I've to ask for twice and seeing the reluctance. Maybe the Europeans' frugality is saving the world.). They tasted ok. The following day for the convenience I went there to buy a box for Beijing. Ha. Ta piece of the macaroon. I just don't get it why would they charge that much more for a cheap container. It clearly (pun intended) doesn't worth it and makes the cookies looking so cheap. I have no choice but to pay because the distance I'll have to bring to. Oh the Frenchy. The ending isn't too pretty: after the security check at the airport, most of them are ruined.

This spot at the Carrousel du Louvre is a full service shop that gives out samples and allows you to build a box rather than just grab a premade assortment from a kiosk. I highly recommend the Maracuja (dark chocolate w/ passionfruit pulp ) or the Salvador (dark chocolate ganache w/raspberry pulp). But if you haven't, this is a strong contender for worthy macarons in Paris and at a convenient location across the street from Ladurée. Located inside L'Occitane in the most gorgeous floor space ever, you will find Pierre Hermé at the center of it all. They have an impressive array of flavors that were much more unique than other patisseries. I definitely asked for a few recommendations as well since I tend to order the same thing (pistachio, raspberry, lemon, etc.) The workers were very kind. They indulged my request to converse in French and corrected me in a respectful and endearing way (I know some people get upset at this idea but I personally prefer it.) I had ordered a dozen macarons but truthfully would've ordered the entire lot if I wasn't alone and especially if I wasn't already taking a ton of sweets back for my flight home. I am a Ladurée purist and what I can say is that Pierre Hermé definitely had the best and most unique flavors compared to the two. The prices are fairly comparable and the coffrets are just as tasteful. Both are strong contenders and worthy of your money. I certainly will be returning and look forward to trying the rest of their selection. (15/50--2025)

Pierre Hermé is home to some of the best macarons I've had in my life -- which is probably too many for the good of my health -- and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the macarons, the staff's attention to detail, and all the unique flavors this shop had to offer. As a popular macaron shop in one of the hottest tourist destinations in Paris, this location is undeniably crowded. There's usually a huge line circling around a central display of macaron after macaron. The line looks pretty intimidating, but it moves quite quickly, and there are so many flavors that it'll probably be helpful to have a bit of extra time to review the menu. My friend and I split a pack of four macarons, including their seasonal isapahan (rose, lychee, raspberry), infiniment praliné pistache, and a jardin de cassandre (red currant, rhubarb). The macarons were delightful. I loved the two seasonal items; they were delightfully fruity and slightly floral, and I loved the slightly tangy flavor from the raspberry in the isapahan and rhubarb / currants in the jardin de cassandre. The praliné pistache was nice and nutty, and the inner cream offered a great additional richness. It's usually super crowded so seating tends to be quite limited. My friend and I ended up taking our macarons to go and enjoyed them elsewhere as we toured Champs Elysée.
