Les Frenchies, the YouTubers, brought us here and we have to agree with them that Richart makes the best macarons ever! You know after about a couple of generic macarons, when they all start to taste the same? That's not the case whatsoever with Richart macarons. Each flavor really tasted how they were intended to be. My favorites were the salted butter caramel and 3 citrons. The staff here was so friendly as well. Would absolutely return!

Anyone who knows me knows I am a sucker for both chocolates and macarons, but chocolates and macarons from France? Yes, please. :) Richart Chocolate has been making gourmet chocolates and French macarons since 1925. I was gifted a box of Mini French Macarons on Valentine's Day. The 10 flavors in the box of 12 macarons were so rich and intensely flavorful. I especially loved the pistachio, Raspberry and Rose. Just delicious. I have gifted a box of these and have also gifted a box of their holiday Valentine's chocolates. The box of Valentine's chocolates had a chocolate sleeve on top of the heart-shaped chocolates that was both tasty and impressive. I got to sample a bite. I also was able to sample one of the gourmet chocolates. These were filled with ganache and praline and other flavors. The designs on top area made of pure cocoa butter, also. So good! The boxes are tied in ribbon and a free gift card with message may be sent with your order, too. Shipping is two day shipping from France to ensure freshness. I have spoken with an associate in France via phone about orders who was very friendly and extremely helpful with my order. I received excellent customer service. If you want to send an equally beautiful and scrumptious gift imported from France, I highly recommend checking out shopping online here. They have made a fan out of me.

Tucked away, but easy to find the dark chocolate perfection!

First, this locale reminded me of a fine jewelry store. Attention to detail, the highest quality of metals and stones and workmanship. Same for when chocolate, particularly the DARKEST chocolate is concerned. Very unusual mingling of flavors & textures. These confections are not for the weary, but are heaven-on-earth for those looking for chocolate that's spectacularly different and extremely decadent. Found in faraway places on around the globe and worth the search. A little more in every way than I expected, but the final treat was fabulous.

Great macarons. Fresh. Tasty. I would definitely buy them over other more famous brands.

The tea shop on the second floor is absolutely adorable and really should be on any pastry-lover's bucket list (ditto if you are into tea houses). Calm, refined, and civilized, it embodies everything that "tea" should be. Mom ordered a pot of tea and she deemed it delicious (she is often disappointed by hot tea--it is rare that we find an establishment that makes it properly). I ordered the hot chocolate with chantilly, and it filled me with mirth. (Warning: it is a dessert unto itself. This is not the insipid cocoa that comes from powder in an envelope. Imagine a cup of chocolate truffle, and you are about right.) We both ordered the plaisir sucrée, and now I need to go back to Paris to take a pastry class. Definitely come here for a special treat tea.

It was a cozy and intimate setting and overall a great experience. Of course, the macaroons were amazing! Loved that the cappuccino came with their logo on top of the foam. And they gave us 2 scrumptious Laduree chocolate squares, which was a nice treat!

We…read morehad finished lunch but were looking for some sweets before heading back to the hotel for a breather. I noticed this place was close-by, so off we went. Fou isn't a large space, really only enough for a queue to form and the staff to stand behind the counter. Unlike a traditional pâtisserie, there is no baking done on premises here. Instead, they import bakes from other pâtisseries and pastry chefs and sell them here. They had a good selection, with each having a label that tells where it came from and/or who the pasty chef was that created it. We decided on three pastries and a slice of cake - they were running a special where if we ordered three bakes then we could get a fourth for a discount. Each of the bakes were quite good - my favorite was the lemon which had great flavor while also being intricately decorated. Overall though, all our selections were high quality. Service was fast and friendly, and overall I had a good experience at Fou de Pâtisserie. It's a great option to get Paris' "greatest hits" from all over the city.

All the gorgeous pastries have signage indicating the maker of the treat. I visited this location as well as the location within the BHV on Rue Rivoli while I was in Paris. They both offered a lovely selection of treats! The caramel brûlée pâte à choux was quite possibly one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life - a sweet caramel cream filling and a crispy brûlée sugar top. I also tried the pistachio tart (salty, not very sweet) , the pear and almond tart (very fresh, not super sweet, and gorgeous), and the chocolate praliné tart (very rich, dark, and indulgent). Overall, this is definitely a patisserie that I will seek out on a future trip to Paris!

This spot at the Carrousel du Louvre is a full service shop that gives out samples and allows you to build a box rather than just grab a premade assortment from a kiosk. I say this because we walked all over on our last day (wanting to make our own boxes) so we found out where the full-service shops were. The people who work here are very patient and kind while you make your selections. And of course, it's fun to sample the decadent merchandise. I highly recommend the Maracuja (dark chocolate w/ passionfruit pulp ) or the Salvador (dark chocolate ganache w/raspberry pulp). We made the mistake of turning our kids into chocaholics so we had to pay the price and bring them both home a box. Couldn't forget one for ourselves either. Each box comes with a handy picture guide so you can identify the merchandise. Or just pop one in your mouth and be happily surprised.

The BEST!!!!!! Oh…read moreman! I will start by saying that I don't even like macaroons in the United States. They are just dry and nasty most of the time lol But in Paris, I decided to give them a try! And I am glad I did. They tasted so good! Seriously, they were delightful little treats. The inside of the macaroons was moist and flavorful, while the outside had a nice firm texture. So good! I almost ate an entire dozen of those by myself! lol My fiancé was not super motivated to try one (probably because they suck in the US), and I kept telling him how good they are. Finally, he tried one and was shocked at how good it was too! They are not cheap. But worth it for a decent macaroon. I can't eat macaroons in the states now lol Ruined me for life. lol
