They have so many different ones to choose from such as strength training, pilates, yoga, to even barre which Im very excited to try next, amongst many more. I recently did the bike cycling class and my immediate expectations weren't high since I just assumed their couldn't be much to it. However, the instructor Sharon was so motivating and incorporated the resistance bar which was a game changer and really helped get a real work out in. I can't say enough about the Yoga and Pilates instructors too - always a beautiful zen like feeling you get here on top of your workout. The classes are at different times of the day too so there's a lot of flexibility and extremely accommodating if you might get there a few minutes late. It's easy to reserve your class on the app and you can easily delete your booking beforehand if something comes up. All the instructors bring their own unique style and you can see which ones are going to teach what in case you may have a preference. Very importantly, the bathrooms, showers, and steam room are always in tip top shape. The Y here makes me look forward to my wellness routine and truly gives me the best bang for my buck, that's sincerely priceless.

I've always struggled with finding workout classes that fit with my 9-5 work schedule, and I love that I've been able to consistently go with Halo's offerings. Jaylen, Rachel, and Hatty are awesome and so friendly! They're great at demonstrating and explaining the moves; as well as providing corrections when needed. Everything in here is verrrrrry old, outdated and kinda gross. I tried this place for a couple days on a free trial membership and both days there was literally like maybe two other people there, no including the people in the classes. They didn't have the kind of treadmills I'm used to using, they didn't have the ellipticals I'm used to using, they didn't even have the weight room accessories I prefer, which are usually pretty standard items. I spoke with the front desk guy, who was very nice, and when I asked what was up with this place he said that everything was donated by the previous owners who ran a diabetes clinic... so... it all makes sense then. lol Except the fact that student memberships are $15/month which is more expensive than a brand new, nice Planet Fitness or somewhere comparable. I don't even wanna know what a non-student membership is... I would NEVER pay that for what they offer! They do have classes... so... if you're strictly a class type person then it's def a good deal. DON'T like gyms with carpet. Gross. Tear that crap up and put in something less easy to infest with bacteria and other nasty micro organism. You're a FL Hosp gym... c'mon peeps.

Lots of equipment, all of it in great shape. Private dressing rooms and showers. The staff is very friendly. Best of all it's affordable. It's a positive feeling to be in a gym run by a hospital. We often think of the hospital as a place we go when things go wrong, instead of thinking of it as a place to stay healthy. When you're riding a machine looking out the window toward the hospital, you can't help thinking these thoughts. I'm a little surprised they don't have longer hours or stay open 24 hours even. Considering that hospital employees have odd hours. Maybe as it's popularity grows, they will consider lengthening the hours. They'll give you a pass to try it out for a week to see how you like it. So check it out!
