I don't know what they did to this hotel. They ruined it, it was so nice and had that cabin feel. They made it look like every other hotel and it sucks. The hotel is fairly close to all the little shops. The front desk to the rooms is a decently far walk, but it's a super short drive. There is complimentary coffee and juice in the lobby. We had a 2 queen bed room and it was enough for our family. The room had a freezer and fridge. No microwave tho, but you can drive to the front desk to heat up whatever. There's a pool and mini jacuzzi too. The view from our balcony was gorgeous at both day and night! The downside is, it was a bit pricey tho. But the location is great. Ah Springdale....one of my favorite towns. Another Lodge experience took me to The Majestic View which is one of the first hotels when you enter town. You are welcomed into a rustic-looking Lobby which by the way has a gift shop and little Museum of wild animals (not live) I can imagine one reason this place has the name it does is because the buildings are designed so all the rooms face the same direction and have the same view of the mountains... the rear side are just open hallways to the rooms and room doors...pretty ingenious design. When walking into the room I found a rustic yet modern accommodation with Furnishings that looked purely like a lodge but also looked brand new and in good repair. Everything down to the lamps and light coverings were fitting for a lodge theme. The room has two double doors that lead out to a small patio. I love sitting out on patios and Springdale but the only downfall to this one is that you are very close to your neighbor unlike other hotels... and also this hotel is very close to the road so you can hear a lot of cars passing by. The room had a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. There was nothing notable about the bathroom except it was clean. I swam in the pool and hot tub and it was very refreshing and a nice cool temperature for the pool. The pool offers little shade so bring the sunscreen! I had a pretty good time at this hotel another unique experience that I will always remember. I would definitely stay here again as well. I like this lodge, it's really nice and comfortable and clean n' cozy. It's very convenient to Zion National Park and next to the FREE Bus Shuttle stop too. The staff are nice here and they have a hotel lobby area with free orange juice and apple juice as well as some hot beverages. They also have a microwave and seating area to use too. The hotel lobby also has a unique museum to tour too. Parking is easy and the rooms are easy to access. read more

This hotel is about just under 2 miles away from the middle of "downtown" Springdale. But it worked out beautifully. We really enjoyed our stay here. Close enough to everything that you could walk (cuz really, what's 2 miles considering all the walking/hiking we are doing while in Zion, right?) but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful and there weren't people walking up and down everywhere right outside the hotel. Our room was across the street from the main lodge/pool/and restaurant. I was initially dismayed when I learned this as I thought it would be a pain to cross the highway to and from. The guy at the front desk told me that it was actually better and you really get unobstructed views of the scenery. I thought he was just telling me that to appease me but boy was I wrong... the room was clean and spacious and the views were breathtaking. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean. A huge plus also was the Springdale shuttle stops right in front of our building (on our side)! Washer and dryer is $2 per wash/dry cycle. We would definitely stay here again. read more

This place truly does offer a majestic view. Stayed 2 nights in May, 2022. Room 205 was nice and the balcony was nice. Only rating 4 stars because the beds are weird iron frames and all TV ports were blocked other than cable hdmi1. On the second night, the TV errored out and even port 1 became blocked. The coffee in the room was also bad; the powdered creamer completely coagulated. The gift shop and "museum" are cool. Museum is a bunch of taxidermy wild animal exhibits, but no information about the animals. The steakhouse nextdoor is nice and you get 10% discount there and at the gift shop. read more

We stayed here for two nights. Hot tub and pool are outside but were open when we went in March timeframe. This has its own giftshop and steakhouse in it. (Dont forget to ask for your 10% at both places as hotel guests) But no free breakfast. Also no microwaves in the rooms so be prepared to walk to the main building to warm up your food. But there is a shuttle stop across the street that takes you into town. This hotel is a little outside the small town of Springdale, but if you like a peaceful relaxing environment then this hotel is right for you. It really has a nice view, and the rooms are clean and good sized with a balcony in each room. Housekeeper Colleen was awesome, we had a do not disturb sign on the door and she was still kind enough to leave a bag of extra towels and essentials for us at our door. read more

Overall, the experience here was pretty good. Didn't see any bugs, and I slept well at night. There is a shuttle stop across the street that takes you to the entrance of Zion National Park which is very convenient. The view from the room is outstanding and all the rooms have balconies. There is also a pool and hot tub available to hotel guests. My only complaint is that they skipped my room one day and did not make the bed and clean up. When I went to the office, they said I may have left the do not disturb sign on. I know that was not the case, but nevertheless, it is not the end of the world. You are slightly further away from some of the restaurants, but it's just a 5 minute drive away. Recommend staying here if you are visiting Zion. read more

Amazing view, rustic/quaint ambiance without skimping on the important necessities. I booked over the phone last minute and the process was painless. The night worker in the lobby was professional. I stayed in room 301, king bed with a beautiful porch view. The room was spacious with all of the necessities. The bed was clean and comfortable. However, there were weird noises throughout the night including what I could only describe as pipes creaking, it woke me up several times. Check out was quick and painless. This place advertises a restaurant with a breakfast menu on their website but the restaurant wasn't open a 945 when I checked out. -1 Star for weird noises and breakfast advertised but not available. All in all a great experience, I would recommend this place to other travelers, just maybe a quieter room. read more

Likes: clean, comfortable, great service, every room has a balcony with fantastic views, the shuttle to Zion National Park stops across the street, otherwise still a short and quick drive to the park, 10% discount on food and shopping. Dislikes: the drains in my room were clogged, there were bugs (not sure what they were but nothing major) inside the room, no microwave, restaurant is pretty bad in a town that offers exceptional food. Spent a night here and it was fantastic. We came a bit after 12 and all lights were off. We were a bit confused at where we needed to go to check in. The front desk doors and everything was closed. When trying to open the doors, it was locked. I was a bit startled when a guy pop out of no where to open the door and check us in. The rooms here is very big and the beds was super comfortable. Our room had a balcony area that had the best view every of the mountains. The bathroom was also very huge and you get a lot of towels. the towels with the blue strips are for the swimming pool. We did struggle a bit to turn on the lights. Apparently you would need to turn to knob and then press it down. Then if the lights were too bright for you you can adjust the brightness. The shower head pressure was a bit strong. It was standing under a waterfall with strong water droplets giving an intense massage. I guess it would have been more comfortable if you took a shower after a hike or something. The restaurant here served decent breakfasts. There was only one staff here, and also it was empty. It was kind of like we booked the entire restaurant for a private breakfast. The overall staff wasn't too friendly and kind of treated us like if we were dumb. The rooms were fantastic. I guess there was some perks to bad staff members. read more

The views are in fact, majestic. The staff is friendly, attentive, and do a great job. The views are incredible, they have a wild life museum, large gift shop, and a decent restaurant attached to the main lobby. I had a room across the street on the lower level and though well appointed, had a great view, and everything was very nice about it. I would leave a strong 4 star rating however wish I could leave a 3.5 star rating because my room had a strong musty smell and I could hear my neighbors clearly all night. Their television and their bathroom trips clearly attenuated through the shared door and walls all night, more than usual compared to other motels I've stayed in. We had breakfast and the restaurant and it was decent. They also have wifi and plenty of parking. There is also a shuttle that goes into Springdale right in front of the hotel which is very convenient. read more

Had a nice stay here during our spring break trip. Rooms have a rustic decor but are comfortable and you certainly can't beat the view! Our room was in the front, facing the street but since the property is elevated on a hillside above the road, we didn't hear traffic or noise. People working the front desk and the gift shop were nice. This is the farthest hotel from the park entrance, but that didn't bother us and we preferred the rates here vs. others we looked at. Plus, the park shuttle bus stops right in front of the hotel. Overall, it's a nice hotel with clean, comfortable rooms, solid service and amazing views. read more

We loved this hotel. It is one of the first hotels along the road when your heading to Zion National Park. We liked that the hotel was not too close to some of the other hotels and stores. Staying at Majestic View felt more private, which was nice. When we checked in, the receptionist was nice, and she gave us a map showing us where our room is. We were also told that we would get a 10% discount for the gift shop and restaurant since we were guests. We were put on the second floor of one of the buildings, and we really liked the room. Everything was made out of wood; from the dresser to the mirror frames. The best thing about this room was the incredible view. We were able to view the beautiful canyons during the day time, and a full moon display at night. We also enjoyed our time at Zion National Park, so we definitely would love to come back to this hotel. read more

Nice views and relief from town traffic but the walls are paper thin. Don't get a first floor room you will never get sleep if the above unit is being used. I could actually hear the next door occupant ordering take out food while sitting in bed watching TV. The restaurant is great for dinner if you get a chance. read more

It is rare that I will write a poor review on a property but I had to write this one. My husband and I stayed at the Majestic on 12/26 and 27. We were coming from the Grand Canyon. We had an extra long drive to Zion due to road closures so arrived exhausted at 7:30pm. The first night we woke up at 2:37am to the chirping of our smoke detector.. I had to climb up on a chair to unplug it from the wall. That did not stop the chirping, neither did removing the battery. Finally I put it outside. Needless to say there was not much sleep after that episode. The light outside our door also did not work. Since our room door faced the back of the hotel it made the outside hall very dark. When I went to the front desk the next morning to report both problems to the "supervisor" the first thing he said to me was, "we have 24 hour assistance" as though I had done something wrong in not reporting this incident earlier. There was no apology. When I requested to speak to a manager he told me that I had to email the GM, Eric Shorr. I emailed Eric on 12/27. I thought giving the GM the benefit of the doubt for a late response to my email due to a holiday vacation was fair. As of 1/7/20 I have not heard back with an apology for poor maintenance. At check out neither items had been fixed. I was told by the front desk staff that the maintenance man was coming on 12/28. It was quite obvious to us that safety and customer service is the priority at the Majestic View Lodge. read more

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. My boyfriend and I checked in at 7:30pm after a long day hiking in Zion and wanted to eat at their restaurant, Stagecoach Grille for the convenience. We were told they were at capacity FOR THE NIGHT, even after we tried to accommodate and say we could wait until 9-9:30. We even asked if we could sit at the bar and were told no because they were an hour behind in the kitchen. So we ended up eating at a local restaurant and came back and realized we forgot toothpaste so we decided to call the front desk where the front desk concierge rudely with an attitude said they did not have any toothbrush kits and that we could purchase them at the gift store tomorrow morning... Would recommend NOT staying here. read more

When we brought this up with the front desk, here's what they had to say, "These aren't like the dirty cockroaches you see on the east coast, these ones are just part of the outdoors...." Awesome stay!! We actually left a creepy Airbnb in Toquerville to stay here instead stairs only so we opted for the only room On the first floor which was by stairs and the pool! It was amazing how little noise we heard. It's peaceful and offered a spacious space, little TV and views of the great Zion formations! It's prime to take the shuttle into Zion, and 18min to the Zion/ Mt. Carmel tunnel (hiking there). We are vegan and enjoyed all of the vegan soaps they offered. Shower is nice too. It is all cabin themed and clean, with a heating and AC inside too. No microwave (that's in the lobby area) just a decent sized mini fridge. They have a ceiling fan too. The gift shop offers better prices than most gift shops in Springdale and Zion. They also have a cool looking Taxidermy exhibit which even us vegans browsed! This hotel is memorable and has character. I just wish there was breakfast included since the restaurant is their only option. read more

If you're looking to stay near Zion, this is a great option. The view is stellar (all rooms face out to the park), there's a pool/hot tub, and each room has a balcony. There are hotels closer to the park entrance, but there's a free shuttle that takes you there in 15 min intervals (and it's a short drive). If you're looking for a spot where you can walk out of your room and have restaurants/shops right there, this isn't it. There is a restaurant on site but we didn't try it. Things they could improve: - better coffee pots and coffee! The coffee pot spills everywhere when you're pouring it (sorry housekeepers!) - more comfy beds (the mattress felt a bit like a pull out sofa bed) - the staff really seemed confused by a lot of things. they extended our checkout, then called immediately after to ask if we were leaving yet (30 mins before our extension). I went to check out and they couldn't find any history of my reservation, both my name or room number because it had been booked trough hotels.com). Felt a bit like amateur hour. Would still recommend this place and stay here again, since it was ~$50 cheaper/night than similar lodges a mile closer to the park entrance. read more

Great location- a quick 5 minute drive into the park. There's a town shuttle right across the street that definitely came in handy as we wanted to chug all the beer at dinner and not worry about getting back to the lodge. The shuttle's last stop is Zion National Park, and stops at nearby restaurants/shops along the way- very convenient, I had no idea there would be a shuttle in town. The view is most definitely majestic, the heated pool and hot tub were more than welcomed after a long day of hiking. Loved the balcony, beds were comfortable, room was spacious. Majestic View Lodge This lodge/gift shop/restaurant is a must stop when visiting Zion. Located right before the park, you can stop either before or after for a delicious meal overlooking the beautiful landscapes. We have not stayed at the lodge, and usually stop for the restaurant and gift shop. There is a FREE museum inside (doesn't take long at all) of all of the different animals that are seen in Zion and Bryce Canyon. There is a gift shop with opal jewelry and other native pieces, as well as little gifts and Native outfits and gifts. The bathrooms are very nice and we always stop to go to the restroom here. The food includes french dips, bison burgers, salads, and many other options. In the medium price range, a really fun stop for all ages. read more

This review is primarily for the Thanksgiving dinner, but I have stayed here once and enjoyed. I do recommend getting up early to watch the sun rise, as there is something magical about the sun just coming up. Watching it go from dark to light with these beautiful mountains in the background is incredible. Well, now to Thanksgiving dinner. I have been here a bunch of times with the family and have enjoyed, even though I DO NOT like buffets. Management has has changed over the years and it seems a little different. This place is resort-like. The view is amazing and I am pretty sure there isn't a bad room in the place as they all face out at these astonishingly beautiful rocks and the sun rises behind them in the morning and illuminates the rocks behind the hotel as well, so you really are surrounded by majestic views 100% of the time. Oh yeah, and each room has a patio! The rooms are tidy and there is a hair dryer (deeply appreciated) as well as all the accommodations you need to feel human again after a rugged hike through the Virgin River or up Angel's Landing. The hot tub and pool have the same astonishing view and are well maintained, but is hard to get into. Not sure if this is because the key cards suck and are super sensitive but only qualm the whole stay was getting in the room and the pool because the key cards stopped working. So keep the cards away from your phone and away from the souvenir magnets, I guess. Will totally stay here again when I come back. read more

Honestly, have no complaints about this cute, comfy, homey hotel. If you're looking in staying here then it's mostly because you're going to Zion. It is the farthest one out of the other hotels in Springdale but despite that, it was worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful, even before we arrived they answered all question I had very expertly. The name of the place says it all because the view from our balcony truly was majestic. Wake up early enough and the sight is something you wouldnt want to miss. Plus, the vegan toiletries I thought was a little bougie but they definitely smelled good. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shuttle service is definitely a great help and given the how accessible it was right across the street was an extra. Even from the shuttle area, the view was amazing. We didnt get to try out the restaurant, but the hotel experience was definitely not lacking. I'd definitely go back and stay here again. read more

The best lodge I've been to so far on this trip! We're staying here for just one night and I say it's worth it. This beautiful lodge has a big room, full A/C and a comfy bed facing the canyon. They have a small swimming pool too which I love the most because you can cool off after doing a long hike at Zion National Park! Also, they have a wildlife museum where you can see stuffed wild animals. That last part may sound weird, and most lodges don't have a bunch if stuffed bears and mountain lions in various states of attack just scattered around bit it's cool to see nonetheless for its oddness. The lodge is at the far end of Springdale about a 5 minute drive to the shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this place! read more

Was super excited walking in here. The lobby has the lodge cabin feel that I love. There is a very cool room full of animals to enjoy that I really liked as well in the lobby. We asked for a bottom room aS we had a lot of bags and there is no elevator to the second floor. We got room 101 and on opening the door I was very pleased with the rooms appearance. The lodge cabin theme continued throughout and it was clean. Had nice amenities for soap, lotion etc. The pillows and bed were comfortable and the tv offered lots of station choices. These are all reasons for the 3 stars. But know I was torn between 2 and 3 for the next reasons. The hot tub was hot but lots of floating hair so only used on our first night. The walls are PAPER thin. Having a room next to the staircase was the worst idea. It sounded like buffalo running through our room anytime someone went up or down. I woke up startled as I thought someone was in our room but it ended up being the people next to us talking. Every walk upstairs was like thunder. Our toilet on New Year's Eve started making a weird sound and then stopped working and was almost overflowing. Tried calling the lobby 5 times to no answer and finally someone picked up. An employee came to look and said our only option is to change rooms as there is no one to fIx it. Umm we are not changing rooms with all this stuff on our last night at 11:45pm on New Year's Eve. We asked if there was a room near by we could just use the bathroom and he said no. Soo we had to walk to the lobby to use the bathroom there. Another complaint would be the amount of bugs in the room. We had a spider web decorating the fan and it actually was home to a pretty large spider that we missed on the first attempt of killing, but it's okay found it on our pillow later on. A couple more spiders graced us in the bathroom. It was exciting to open the dresser drawers and find them packed with clothes from previous guest. Apparently house keeping isn't to thorough. The last and final complaint was there was no restaurant when we were here. We were notified when booking so I wasn't surprised but it would have been nice to have something on the premise. read more

I stayed here with my Nephew. We hiked our booties off on this trip. I found the view to be absolutely stunning at this hotel. The pool has a very cool view too. I can't imagine another hotel having a better view. The room was very very clean and i liked that they had a little fridge for our stay. Another big plus was the WiFi was really really good. Thank you Hotel, since most of Zion has little or poor reception. The decor is in the rustic lodge type flair which i am not a fan of but like the high level of cleanliness, you can tell when a room is clean or just half ass clean. The downside for me was the onsite "dining/bar" they have on-site. If it's not that good nobody cares if its onsite or not. This hotel is the furthest out from the park entrance and not walking distance to other food/shops. I would probably stay closer next time, but since this is my first visit I really can't compare. I don't think staying in the actual park "lodge" is that big a deal here, the shuttle system is superior and very very easy to get around not matter what hotel you stay at. The rate was 189.00 so i thought that was reasonable for what i paid. read more
