We purchased a fixer and needed new electrical, plumbing, flooring, lighting, windows, closets/shelving, and all new bathrooms. The bid we received was fair and detailed. While the construction took longer than we expected, we started this process in the middle of covid and we put in numerous change orders, including new stucco, updating the fireplace, opening up a wall, and installing sheer walls. We really enjoyed working with Octavio (one of the foremen) and Ramon (who was the electrician on our job. He was very efficient and did great work). The cabinet and vanities were done with great workmanship as well. No construction job is without it's hiccups, including timing, supply chain issues, labor issues, installation issues, etc...but know that if there is EVER an issue, you can contact Sam and he will fix it/make it right. Not only is Sam responsive, he also gives very honest opinions and shares good ideas if he has them. He had some really good ideas for the extra countertop material we had and he was the one who suggested taking out a wall so our living area would be more open concept, and we are SO glad we listened to his suggestions! All our guests are shocked at the transformation to the feel of our home. Get this : The work was completed ahead of schedule! Yes that's right - it does happen in remodelling - but honestly not often. The entire process was executed with near swiss clock precision, scheduling and craftsmanship. The workers showed up on time at every step and it's clear they have a very good relationship with Eric at Skyline so they do their best work on time, every time. It's evident that all the workers are very experienced and know how to execute complex projects like ours. We removed an entire load barring wall dividing the kitchen and living room that had a brick fireplace, and chimney. They removed it all without destroying unintended nearby walls or flooring. Skyline rebuilt the entire ceiling structure, doubled the skylight opening by adding a second skylight, they patched the roof opening, replaced all the utilities including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and even refurbished our existing 20+ yr old exotic Kempas hardwood flooring to line up like glass with our newly installed kitchen tile flooring. This was a complex job with a lot of challenging details, like custom cabinetry, a 10 foot waterfall Quartzite stone island with utilities on concrete subfloor, and much more. The results speak for themselves. I've done previous work with other contractors but the level of efficiency and professionalism with Skyline made this a smooth project where all the small details are handled well before they become an issue. I'm already planning additional remodel work in other parts of my home with them. Seriously, do not hesitate to use Skyline - they are a rare gem in the remodel field, but they are busy so call for an estimate early if you're considering some remodeling.
