Aaron from Power Home Builders is great. He remodeled my kitchen and master bathroom. Wow! I can't believe I get to live here. The workers are professional and work their buns off. I couldn't be happier.

Damage on new vanity with sharpie to fill in

This was the worst experience I've ever had. Save your time, money, and sanity. A small bathroom remodel that was quoted to take four weeks has turned into a 6+ month nightmare. The team is highly unprofessional and repeatedly lied about their schedule - roughly 80% of the time when they said they would show up they did not, and not showing up for weeks was common. The work is sloppy, and they've damaged almost everything they touched. My vanity was chipped in several spots and covered in paint, and to make matters worse, they filled in the chips with a Sharpie, hoping I wouldn't notice. They borrowed a shelf to color match and never returned it. They laid down rolling paper to protect my carpet, which was cut up after a week. I asked nearly 10 times for them to replace it to prevent damage, and while they acknowledged the request, they didn't follow through. After I expressed frustration, they finally replaced it, only to remove it a few days later. Now I have paint stains on my carpet. The demo crew carelessly hit through walls, damaging my living room and hallway. The patch job they did to fix it was horrible. The team doesn't communicate with each other. One person would come to do work, and the next day, another would come and undo it. Here are a few examples: Bathroom medicine cabinets: One team framed the cabinets, another closed up the holes, and then a team reopened the holes. This cycle repeated several times. Shower niche: They didn't install the shelf as requested. When they finally did, it was installed with a negative slope, causing water to pool. Additionally, they didn't waterproof the niche, which wasted a lot of tile as they had to redo it multiple times. I am very concerned about potential water damage in the future if this project is ever completed. Shower bench: I repeatedly asked about the bench we agreed upon, and they told me not to worry. Eventually, they tiled the shower without it, then had to remove the tiles and start over to install the bench. Shower piping: They installed the shower piping incorrectly. After finally finishing the tiling, they had to reopen the wall to fix the plumbing, which meant more delays, more wasted materials and now has been sitting open for about 2 months. They went through an enormous amount of tile (3x more than required), far more than necessary, due to their lack of coordination. Several boxes of tile were wasted because they would cut the tile improperly without using the right tools and chipping the edges. Despite this, they blamed me for not buying enough tile and even blamed the store for running out of the manufacturing lot. I also noticed that there are giant air pockets behind the removed tiles where the cured grout and cracks have already appeared which shows poor workmanship. Around month five, after repeated complaints to the owner, I was told a new project team would be taking over to redo the work and it is entering the seventh month and no one has come once and I can barely get a response over phone or text. This is just a fraction of the issues I've encountered. I wanted to be understanding and patient, but I strongly warn you: do not hire Oron or his team. They will overcharge you and treat you poorly. My project is still incomplete, and I haven't been able to live in my home for over 6 months so far as I do not have a working bathroom.

PHB recently completed a bathroom remodel for me, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. From the initial design consultation to the final touches, their team was professional, attentive, and detail-oriented.

    Master bath

High quality craftsmanship. Our home is very old (1926), and we had the original master bathroom remodeled completely. They take their time to do it right. Not the cheapest, but a great value for the quality.

    Bathroom renovation: no boarder

I tried to give them a chance to correct their mistakes, well that didn't happen. If you are in the business of construction then you need to provide the workeres with the proper equipment. You should not look outside and see someone cutting tile on the grass. They have no concept as to what construction is. I ordered shower tile and it broke, they do not want to replace it, no contingency funds for accidents. Then Oron, tried to tell me my tile was sensitive and if I could change it. No, I did not and will not. What I spent, the work does not reflect it. And if you don't know anything Oron will try to tell anything.

The pavers and driveway are honestly stunning - our neighbors have given us so many compliments already! The team was easy to work with, showed up when they said they would, and explained the process clearly along the way. Communicating over Whatsapp with them was great. We went back and forth proposing solutions to the drainage issues and where to put the stairs - they really listened to all our ideas and improved them. Their proposed amazing drainage solutions are effective and work great. The quality of their work and planning was top tier. They were respectful of our property and left the place clean when the job was done. It's not easy to find contractors you trust, but these guys absolutely delivered. We're extremely happy with the results and would recommend them without hesitation.

Later, "Jacob" called me back later and expressed condescending concern that I had ONLY a $150K budget. I told him that's where the budget starts, not ends and asked him what the true cost was. He responded back that it's between $300 and $450 a square foot. So I told him, "Okay, if my calculations are correct, if I go with $350 a square foot so I'm not at the rock bottom, and I multiply that by 600 sq ft for a small ADU, that is roughly $210K for a price starting point with your company?" "Well no it's not exactly... "Then what did I miss?" "Well there's all sorts of other things blah blah blah..." Overall the tone was condescending and he made it clear that I didn't know what I was talking about, when in fact I have 15 years experience as a home designer that designs and budgets facelifts on houses that are about to go up for sale. I have dealt with contractors for many, many years. Eventually I got fed up with his tone and told him to cancel the appointment. As my grandma always said, you'll catch more flies with honey than hot sauce!

Our exterior paint had faded significantly over the last 25+ years and looked dull and boring. Inside, the kitchen and bathrooms were well worn from decades of renter abuse when we'd lived out of state, and we'd always worried about the electrical wiring and service capacity of our 1950s-era home. Normally, we ignore solicitors and flyers, but a knock on our door and brief conversation piqued our interests and we agreed to meet with Build Force Remodeling's representative the next day. Honestly, we just wanted to get an idea about how much a new exterior paint job, kitchen and master bathroom remodel might cost and if we could afford it. The following day, we met with Steve Morris and his associate, Benjamin. After showing them our kitchen and bathroom, we discussed several options regarding the scope of work, materials, etc. and finally got a cost estimate. Initially, we balked at the cost due to what we believed were our financial constraints of living on a fixed income. Steve asked about our mortgage and duration of ownership, suggesting that we might be able to refinance our home loan and use our equity to pay for the project with no out-of-pocket expenses. This brightened our outlook, and we then discussed adding a complete electrical rewiring and capacity upgrade. All in all, we determined that the expanded project was "doable", and we signed a contract. Demolition work began immediately and we were impressed with the care they showed handling our furniture and belongings. The exterior painting crew, led by "Francisco", did a fabulous job that included replacing rotted wood, patching broken stucco. We love the new Forest Green color and the "curb appeal" alone is awesome! The interior remodel work was expertly done by "Diego" who's personal attention to craftsmanship, detail, and our customer satisfaction overwhelmed us! "Shay" and his team of electricians made several helpful suggestions to the rewiring work that provided not only greatly improved lighting throughout, but also improved functional access to outlets, identified previously unknown branch circuits, and greatly increased our home's service capacity! My wife and I are thrilled with the end results and wish to recognize and commend the entire Build Force Remodeling team for their help to realize our dreams. Everyone from the project managers, construction craftsmen, office support staff, finance personnel treated us with respect and gave us their personal attention.  Build Force Remodeling has earned our highest recommendation!!

If they respondent had taken the time to read my review, then he would have seen that I cancelled the contract before the work had begun, so there would be no invoice or completed contract in their system. I was very clear and detailed with my review about the details. The HIS (Home Improvement Salesperson) that came to my home was Yael Rosenbaum. I have attached a short text thread from her, after my visit. I also included a screenshot showing that she was unlicensed at the time she came to my house and only got licensed as the result of me filing a claim with the California State Contractors Board. In addition, I have copies of the contract and other paperwork, yet they "have no record of me". More lies. In my initial review, I also included a copy of the letter from the CSLB confirming that BFR had committed violations, so to try and take a stance that you don't know who I am, or have any record of me, is completely nonsensical. Another lie. If this doesn't reinforce to you, what kind of a company they are, then I don't know what will. Do better.

He is incredibly talented... We honestly feel lucky we got to experience how he does business. He has set the bar so high that it's going to be hard to work with anyone else now. What made him different? Clear, consistent communication: Every evening, he gave us a recap of what was done that day and what to expect the following day and for the rest of the week. Updates during the day: He kept us in the loop while he was working (for example, letting us know when he was heading to Home Depot and when he expected to be back to finish a task). He's also just a genuinely kind and honest person. We had originally requested something very specific in our bathroom, and the tile crew made a small mistake. Gary caught it, called us that night to explain, and told us he would have his team redo it so it matched what we agreed on in our initial meeting....without us even asking. That level of integrity and pride in his work is rare. He remodeled our bathroom and bedroom, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Gary is now our go-to for anything construction-related. We contacted a few contractors, Aryan and his team responded quickly and was able to do the inspection on the same day. Aryan is very friendly and considerate during the inspection, and explained what caused the leaks in details. We decided to hire Killer Contractors not only because they provide very competitive pricing, but also because they are very responsive in answering our questions and concerns. They provided the estimate in a timely manner. It's strange some contractors were eager to come to our house to do inspection, but after that they either never contact us again or we had to call them for an estimate. Because the raining kept going until the new year and the roofing work can't start, Killer Contractors put a tarp on our roof which made us relieved Killer Contractors are very professional and efficient doing their work. The whole project took about 6 days, but the actual work only took 3 days. The extra 3 days were due to the delay in applying the permit and waiting for city inspector to be onsite. The delay was our fault because we decided to apply the permit a little bit late (and Killer Contractors had no problem with us applying the permit right before the work started). The working crew members are also very professional and friendly. They worked very hard, and they did their best to not distract us. They made sure there is no debris left in our yard and our neighbor's. Before they were done for the day, they made sure there's no nail left on our yard, driveway and street.
