I did a lot of research on dresses before I decided to go shopping because I was looking for something in particular. Majesty carried the particular designers I was interested in, as well as had beautiful styles. Their site also confirmed that they carried dresses within my price range. The amazing reviews convinced me that I should definitely make an appointment to try on dresses. Upon arriving, I thought that the shop was a lot smaller based on the outside. It didn't stand out much. BUT when I walked inside, the shop was beautiful. It was much bigger and had so many gorgeous dresses in all kinds of styles. Morgana assisted me and was very nice to work with. She was patient, attentive and I appreciated the one on one attention I received with her. I loved coming out in each dress because there was a runway with a large mirror. It really made the experience special. The shop only had one other customer inside, so I didn't feel rushed or over crowded. Morgana did not pressure me and explained the options I had. Most of their dresses could be altered to add sleeves. I would absolutely recommend Majesty to any bride. The experience was amazing and there were so many options. The picking out the dress experience is wonderful, but they don't tell you that they don't do alterations. What type of bridal shop doesn't do alterations? Is there a bride on earth who doesn't need alterations on her wedding dress? You will go back to the shop when they tell you your dress arrives thinking you're going for a first fitting, but no. They will recommend a seamstress down the street, and of course you don't have an appointment with the seamstress down the street - be aware. read more

I had an absolutely lovely time picking out my dress with Morgana at Majesty Bridal. From the moment she opened the door for us, I felt very comfortable and at ease. This shop really surprised me, they were above and beyond! After another appt in Darien, I was left unimpressed and came to Danbury with my mom for a docs appt. We happen to drive by, so I called (it was a Monday- they are OPEN) and they said I could browse... Well Morgana was wonderful and she ended coming in early so I could try dresses on. She is wonderful and never pushy! They have a wonderful variety from simple to very princess to very sparkly dresses! Pretty much something for all tastes! Please go! dresses of all price ranges. i had an okay experience. customer service was subpar honestly with the owner. i just felt like i was part of the business machine and not really valued. the business does great because of all of the affordable dresses which is great for them. but if you're looking for a bridal boutique feel, this isn't the place. Parking is an actual nightmare. Bring a crapload of quarters because Danbury charges you 25 cents for TEN mins on main ave and they only take quarters so beware. Before purchasing a dress they need to disclose the following clearly to their customers. I felt very rushed during checkout. 1) you can choose to go to Irene Rocha for tailoring if you want. i felt almost forced to get alterations there. "it's down the street." 2) there's a $50 dress storage fee for...? Isn't that the store's job, to order a dress and hold onto it until the customer arrives? Or was it the thinnest bag that comes with the dress that was $50? Call clients to come pick up their dress as soon as it arrives to save 50 bucks if it's that inconvenient to store dresses. I would still recommend (hence, 3 stars) this place to folks I know but just wasn't highly satisfied and would mention why. read more

I can't believe there are no reviews for Majesty yet! I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in as I had just left a really horrible appointment at another shop, but I was so pleasantly surprised. First of all, the shop itself is beautiful. There's a huge dressing room and a little catwalk to model the dresses on. They had a GREAT selection of dresses in my budget ($1,000-$1,500) and I was the only bride in the store for the duration of the appointment which was about an hour and a half. Morgana was amazing! She took my list of dresses that I had been looking at online, and pulled the ones she had as well as a few others in the style I was going for. The first dress I tried on turned out to be The One, and I'm pretty sure Morgana knew it before I did, but she was patient as I tried on several others. She offered honest opinions when I asked for them, didn't rush me, and was NEVER pushy. I'll be calling them as soon as they reopen on Monday to order the dress and I've never been more pleased to give someone my business. I will recommend Majesty and Morgana to EVERYONE from now on. read more

I had a great experience at majesty. I went into wedding dress shopping kind of unsure and was so pleasantly surprised. I showed the consultant photos which she used to select dresses. With each dress she asked what I liked and disliked and then made recommendations of dresses to try. She also accommodated any requests from my family. For the most part we were the only bridal customer there and I felt that I got a ton of attention and wasn't rushed. Every dress she showed me was within my budget. I ended up loving two very different dresses and ultimately did select one and buy on my first visit. My dress will be in in august and I can update the review then, but so far so good. I read a review about this place in the Danbury News Times, so I already had high expectations, but this place seriously blew them away. Morgana was amazing - she asked what I was looking for, what I liked and didn't like and what my budget was. She then pulled dresses from the racks that were exactly what I imagined, and even included dresses that were long shots, just to have the experience of trying them on. She was patient with my mom and cousin, who were being very bossy about things. I can't say enough great things about this place. Been twice in the past two weeks - once to help a friend pick out a wedding dress and once to pick out my own! Both times for our appointments we had the place to ourselves and the full attention of Morgana, who was a pleasure to work with. She listened to our likes/dislikes and kept our budget in mind. She had a good balance of showing us dresses that fit our preferences to a "T" while also showing us one or two that were a little different but turned out to be pleasant surprises. I never knew places like this existed - so much better than the mass market/poor customer service at David's Bridal and the like. I've been in love with Maggie Sottero dresses since I started looking and Majesty has a nice selection, including the one I most wanted to try on, which I ended up purchasing! While there are some incentives for purchasing on the day you are there, I never felt pressured or put off. Can't wait until my dress comes in and see how the alterations process goes. When i started looking for a wedding dress, I had a specific designer in mind and booked appointments at two different places. My first appointment of the morning was a total bust and by the time I got to Majesty I was a little bit apprehensive. The second we walked in we were immersed in this amazing environment. Everyone was kind and it felt like the perfect place. Morgana was beyond phenomenal!! She asked me what I was looking for and also let me browse. She was amazing at balancing what I wanted and what my family wanted to see me in. The changing room was great, there was a place for my family to sit and a separated spot for me to change in. Morgana made me feel comfortable and helped me into all of the dresses, and then suggesting different ones based on what i liked and didn't like. In the end, i found the most amazing dress! They ended up picking the dress I chose based on very little description of what I was looking for. Like someone who previously posted, I too visited a place in Darien and was less than impressed with my experience. My fiance's sisters both got their dresses at Majesty, so I figured I'd give it a shot without high expectations. Totally deceiving from the street. The place was huge inside and I loved that I could bring all my girls into a private viewing room/dressing room. Morgana was amazing! I came in with a list of 5-7 dresses but she allowed us to browse while she checked the availability of what was on my list. After being extremely patient and helping me with at least 15 gowns she went out and grabbed a few based on what I told her I liked (or disliked) from each. I am so pleased with Majesty! I found and bought my dress this past weekend. They were so helpful from beginning to end. I found the consultants not to be overwhelming, but the perfect amount of help. They knew all the information about styles of dresses, prices, etc. When I wanted to think about it over lunch, they accepted me to come back with open arms without another appointment and they proceeded to work with me on the details when I did come back. I had a fabulous experience at Majesty. I was referred by a friend who had just gotten married. While she hadn't gotten her wedding dress from Majesty, she said it was a great place to go. It didn't disappoint. Morgana and the other staff were so kind and knowledgable. They have such a variety of styles and prices that it is almost impossible not to find something. I did have an issue with the dress once we was delivered. The issue had to do with the designer, not with Majesty. Majesty contacted the designer and was able to get them to not only fix the issue, but they got them to send a brand new dress. read more

If I could give this place 1/2 a star I would. My friends and I all purchased our Sorella Vita Maid your way dresses here. Almost every girl was measured incorrectly. I am 5'8 barefoot, so they told me to order the extra length. So I did. Even with 4 inch high heels I need to have SEVEN inches cut off the bottom and nearly two inches on each side of the bust. You would think a place like this would measure correctly and at the very least order a close enough size. When I called to ask about a discount on alterations, given the fact that 4 of us required $150 worth of dress reconstruction, the woman on the phone was extremely rude. If you buy here, bring your own tape and check the sizes yourself. Clearly the woman who measured us did not have a clue and was very unprofessional. read more

Majesty was the first store I went to when I started to look at wedding dresses. The store is lovely and open, which a large area in the back to try on the dresses. They have a wide selection of dresses to choose from, as well as a section in the front for bridesmaid dresses. The two ladies who helped me were very kind and I never felt pressured to purchase during my appointment. They do seem to be appointment only, but it was very simple to make one using their online system. While I did not find "the one" that Majesty, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for their dress. The dresses that I tried on were within my budget and very reasonably priced. read more

As I was preparing for my wedding, the search for the dress was one of the things I was most anxious about. I was nervous that I would have to go to countless stores and try on countless dresses and pay an exorbitant price for the perfect dress, but majesty bridal put all my fears to rest. Everything about this place is superb. It was the only wedding dress store I visited and I found my perfect dress in about 45 minutes at a more than reasonable price.....and don't let that make you feel that the place is cheap. Totally the opposite....the salon is beautiful with big chandeliers and the service, well let's just say they made me feel so special and were patient and attentive in every way. Following a discouraging visit trying on a dozen or more dresses at another local shop , my daughter and I stopped in to this store at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Although we had no appointment they did allow her to try on 2 dresses with the intention of making an appointment for a future visit. I am fairly new to the area and came upon Majesty Bridal after reading some reviews online... I am so thrilled to have found it. The entire experience from top to bottom was truly exceptional. Let me start by saying, I had been to two other bridal shops and was less then impressed with dress selection and the consultants who helped me. When I got to Majesty I was greeted with kindness and enthusiasm by their consultant, Jackie, who's pleasant and joyful demeanor made me feel completely comfortable. She took the time to listen to the styles and types of dresses I liked and picked some incredible dresses that were exactly what I had been looking for. At Majesty they also allow you to look through the dresses yourself which was another added bonus. I am normally a very fussy shopper when it comes to clothing and when shopping for a once in a lifetime dress... I am much worse. I can't say enough how amazing the women at Majesty were in helping me find the perfect dress. They were so patient with me and were really attuned into helping me find the right dress to fit my style and budget. They answered any and all of my questions relating to gowns and really were knowledgable about them. The interior of the store is beautiful and really adds to the experience, especially if your going with family and friends. The prices were pleasantly reasonable. I travelled an hour and half to visit this Majesty Bridal because of all the wonderful reviews the store had received. However I was BEYOND disappointed in my experience at the store. My mom and I went in with an open mind because after trying on dresses in other stores, I was not set on a style or fabric ,which was expressed to the consultant. However the consultants inexperience was very obvious when she brought me in dress after dress that were too small, ones that there was no chance for me to even get on. I proudly wear a size 14 in the "real world" but as many people know, bridal runs small so bringing me in a bridal size 8 was NEVER going to happen. This in itself was very frustrating but having the consultant tell me that the dress wasn't going to fit over "my big shoulders" or "my big butt" was AWFUL, RUDE and OFFENSIVE. I refused to attempt to try on another gown and left the store. So all in all ladies, if you wear anything over a size 10, DON'T waste your time at this store read more
