However, my mind was immediately put at ease when my appointment started at the Plumed Serpent. Everyone was so friendly when my mom, my sister and I came in. We were shown to the dressing area and offered water (which they brought out in champagne flutes - so cute). Next to the couch there was a sign saying Reserved for Katie, which I thought was such a nice touch! The whole shop is bright, beautiful and clean. Krissy really made my whole appointment not only easy, but truly enjoyable. As I mentioned, I wasn't really looking forward to my appointment after my experience at a different shop, but Krissy completely turned my mood around. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful! She was cheerful, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I really cannot speak highly enough of Krissy! At the beginning of my appointment, Krissy looked through my Pinterest board with me and asked about my budget. I appreciated that she was so respectful of my budget; she only pulled dresses that were within my price range. Krissy really understood what I was looking for just from the pictures I showed her. As I tried on each dress, she took my feedback and applied it in the next dress she'd show me. I was really impressed by her! At the end of my appointment I felt that I had found the dress I loved, but I wanted to sleep on it. Krissy was absolutely understanding of that and never pressured me to make a decision on the spot. I really appreciated that! The next morning I e-mailed Krissy to let her know I'd definitely found my perfect dress. She responded quickly and answered a few last questions I had. I am typically a huge sparkle girl, but I let Leo know I was hoping to go for more of a modern style while keeping it form fitting to wow my husband to be! I instantly fell in love with all the Ines Di Santo designs, and knew the Selene dress was the one once I tried it on and looked in the mirror. My mom, godmother & mother in law were already in tears seeing how perfect it fit me and how it was everything I had envisioned! Since she knew I loved a sparkle element, she also found me the most perfect veil full of Swarovski crystals that added the element I wanted Not only did Plumed Serpent help me find my dream dress, but once I heard they had an in house seamstress, I knew this was my place. From my first alteration appointment, I knew working with Lissa would be a dream - she had the same eye for perfection as me, and we were on the same page for everything! She made sure my dress fit me perfectly for my big day, leaving me with zero worries. She even added multiple bustle options so I had choices depending on how I felt on my wedding day! Fine, that is a stylists job to help you find what works best for your body. I felt there was some slight body shaming inherent in her pushiness, but whatever. I chalked it up to the stylist being a bit older and perhaps of an era where curves were not as celebrated as they are now. I would not have written a review, except for this one exchange that really continues to not sit well with me. After I responded to her that I was comfortable with my curves and that my fiancé is also a fan of my body, she said: well it doesn't matter what he thinks, they always think you look nice. It is everyone else at the wedding you should be thinking about. That was just a step too far for me. I promptly left, ending up purchasing the sheath dress I liked elsewhere where I was comfortable doing business. It just left a bad taste in my mouth that she (1) was unable to read the room about my personal preferences and comfort, I wasn't looking to her to help me decide what suited me best in that moment and (2) would go so far as to stoke insecurity with that last comment. It doesn't matter, but I am a size 8-10 street, 14-16 bridal. I include that only as a reference for those who might be seeking an inclusive, supportive shopping experience -- because that is NOT what I had here. The amazing reviews convinced me that I should definitely make an appointment to try on dresses. Upon arriving, I thought that the shop was a lot smaller based on the outside. It didn't stand out much. BUT when I walked inside, the shop was beautiful. It was much bigger and had so many gorgeous dresses in all kinds of styles. Morgana assisted me and was very nice to work with. She was patient, attentive and I appreciated the one on one attention I received with her. I loved coming out in each dress because there was a runway with a large mirror. It really made the experience special. The shop only had one other customer inside, so I didn't feel rushed or over crowded. Morgana did not pressure me and explained the options I had. I received a call a atcthe end of January that my dress will arrive duri the 1st week of May. I called at the end of April and was told it will arrive on May 7. I called on May 7 and was told to follow up on May 8. Nobody called my on May 8, so I ca again and was told it may arrive that afternoon. Despite asking to get a call that afternoon, I didn't get one. I called again at 5:45 and was told that the dress did not arrive and it's unclear where it I s. The owner said she will follow up on Monday. I go a call on Monday that the dress was NOT shipped yet from Italy. She asked me if I wanted to get an express shipping which I refused! She told me to come in on Wednesday morning to try the floor model and have it adjusted (that was on May 13!) As the zipper may be worn for a redux price. I had to go to another place. I would recommend to stay away from this shop if you want to have a peace of mind!

I had a bridesmaids dress that not only needed to be taken out but have fabric added. Other places told me it couldn't be done and wouldn't even attempt it. I also needed it done in less than a months time. This place not only welcomed me happily but reassured me they can get it done.
