My husband and I used ClassPass to book our appointments. I have been working really long hours the past few months, and I didn't want to drive 45 minutes to an hour to Spavia. I originally booked a Wednesday evening appointment, but cancelled to accommodate my husband. My husband and I arrived for our 5 o'clock and 6 o'clock appointments at 4:37. Upon entering the front door, no one was at the front desk. The sign on the desk states to sit down, so my husband and I sat on the bench and waited. About 5 minutes later the receptionist came through the front door and immediately started the check in process. We completed the form on the tablets, and I placed my tablet on the desk because the receptionist had stepped away. The receptionist seems to be responsible for a few tasks. The bench was wood but comfortable. The place smelled good. The theme is a bit of a jungle theme with fake flowers on the walls and ceilings with monkeys hanging. After checking in, we were taken to the back to wait. There's a bathroom with dim lighting. The seating area was comfortable. There's at least 4 oversized plush chairs and a couple regular chairs. There a filtered water pitcher and what seemed like tea. At 5:05, I was taken to the room. At almost 5:15, my massage began. It was a good massage. Brandon massaged the areas I needed. The massage ended at 5:59. I booked a 50 minute magnesium rejuvenating massage. I don't know if magnesium was involved as it was not discussed. Overall, it was a good massage. Brandon was also my husband's therapist. Would we go back? We are undecided on whether or not we would return. We did not book a future date.

Location is easy to find in a small business park, not far off Independence Blvd. She shares the office space with other independent therapists; her room is no different from any other massage rooms I have been to - overall it was comfortable, dark and efficient. A few things I thought were positive about Alison: 1. She gave me a full hour! Not an hour but minus the changing in and out of clothes time. 2. She spent a good amount of time on my glute, a body part that is often forgotten during massage. 3. She spent time on head, feet & hands Overall I was very happy with the quality of her service. I decided to get a massage, but other places with higher ratings than here didn't have an opening on the one day I have. Tuy had the next highest rating and availability. Although it isn't at the best location (said another reviewer who gave them a 5) it didn't bother me bc I've been to the ghetto-est place and they have one of the best service. I was greeted by two woman as I entered and was then instructed to fill out a form. By the time I settled in & waited for the masseuse the massage started about 10 after my scheduled time. I've been to numerous massage parlors and I expect it to be relaxing. The "relaxing" instrumental music sounded like it played from the hallway/lobby, not in the actual room. It wasn't that loud but loud enough to distract the coming noise I'm about to elaborate. The music played for about the first 30 mins of my session, then it went silent. I had the first room on the left so I can hear every conversation in the lobby, who's coming in & leaving & worst of all, the sound of the cars driving by and the a/c fan. At first i thought the window was open but later looked and it wasn't. I should have told my masseuse but I kept telling myself the music will come back on but by the time it did, it was towards the end of the session. The music started again when another gentleman walked in for his session. Next, the lighting. Again, I expect dim lighting in a massage room. It was fine when I laid face down but as soon as I had to face up, i felt the brightness even with my eyes closed. Some places put a towel over your eyes but this place did not. The only reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars is bc of my masseuse. I didn't catch her name, but she was an older woman and she did an incredible job. Only complaint, I left like I was short 5 mins. Make sure u arrive early to use the restroom and a few mins to fill out the form! I read that the owner has been in business for a while so she should know the etiquette of a massage parlor. For how much I paid + $20 tip, I wish it would have been a great experience. I'm usually able to hand the cash tip to the masseuse myself, but she was no where in sight so I left it with one of the two ladies I saw when I first walked in. I hope she gets it! If they can fix these mishaps, this place can definitely be great. Although I'm Super disappointed that they weren't as attentive to a fellow Asian as the others.
